The best view of any place I've stayed at anywhere - our villa had uninterrupted views for over 180 degrees, with nothing but vegetation to see - totally private. The pool is pristine, deep, big and gorgeous - we spent days perfecting our dive bombs. Beds are super comfy, villa is super clean and well stocked. Huge gas stove top, plus bbq, fridge and blender on request for mixing cocktails. The dining / lounge is massive and the interiors contemporary and lovely. Mrs Va the manager is attentive, friendly and very switched on. We went out one day to find she had come by and given our villa a clean because she and her staff had some spare time! Thank you so much sapphire villas, you are stunning xx
Grandma and Grandpa from Canada spent a week on holiday with our family of six from Australia.... (mom and dad and four grandkids age 13,11,8 and 7) We loved this villa experience ..the fantastic private infinity pool with amazing views from our huge deck, the awesome kitchen and sleeping quarters and lovely staff to take care of all our requests... We knew were in a special place with the hot pink sunrises in the mornings and vibrant orange sunsets in the evenings...we have some award winning photos!. The villa is a bit isolated but the privacy is worth it..and all you have to do is call and you have a driver to take you wherever you need to go.. After a few days we found our favourite driver (Duna) and our favourite restaurant, ( "Boatshed") near the First Landing Resort.. After touring around the area and seeing the other accommodations we realized that we were very lucky to have the opportunity to stay at Sapphire Bay Villas .
Perfect place to stay if you have a large family. Excellent staff wonderful view and a huge house to stay in. The pool is great and we loved the view. Looking forward to come back one day. Thank you to Mrs VA and Jobe for a wonderful holiday......VINAKA
My friends and I stayed for 4 nights, booking online was quite easy and all correspondence with Mr. Taro Trabish was efficient. We were greeted by Mrs. Va at Villa 1, she gave us a tour of the villa, 4 rooms, 2 x king ensuite, 1 x 2 double beds and 1 double and 2 single beds in the last room. Very big and spacious. Fully equipped kitchen: oven, microwave and fridge, with all its pots, pans, plates etc. It also had a BBQ outside. Beautiful infinity pool with an amazing view. There is also a track from the villa you can walk to the beach and also to Vuda Marina (the girls managed to go on a tour to Beachcomber that included morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea with return transfer for $109.00 FJD) more expensive at Denarau. The villa was absolutely amazing for my group and I and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Mr. Trabish and Mrs. Va
This Villa is lovely. The infinity pool makes for a lovely setting which has great views out to the ocean. A deep pool for diving into and cooling off - refreshing as water is constantly being turned over. Large deck area with a good sized table to accommodate us 11 ladies staying. Same with the dining room table. Bedrooms were great to share, a suggestion would be a toilet in the laundry area to save people using the ensuite in bedroom and also the lighting in the bathrooms wasn't great for using the mirror. Minor details as this Villa is stunning!! Deck off our room for drying any wet togs/towels was user friendly. Huge kitchen with everything we needed for our 5 night stay. Ants were everywhere but we dealt to them. We had chefs come and cook for us all on our 1st night and wow that was amazing!! Jope - our driver was very funny, very professional and courteous! We had many a laugh with him. The staff were very respectful. We went to the Marina for lunch then live music for the afternoon. Was fabulous and they do takeaway food so you can take back to the Villa and enjoy at your leisure with drinks. This is an easy walk which we did down to the beach from the Villa and then along the railway line and road. You can also call into a couple of resorts if you want to. We picked up supplies on our way to the Villa and Jope took us to the local farmers market for fresh fruit which was amazing. The mud bathing experience was a great delight for all of us and the authentic massage is fantastic. Would highly recommend this Villa especially having Jope on hand for transport. This was very cost efficient with 11 of us. We did run out of Wifi - probably due to all the uploading of our photos. Was sad to leave this amazing place and the people of Fiji.
This place is by far the most beautiful place I have stayed. The first moment we arrived on the property we were blown away by the scenery, the villa and the professionalism of your staff. This only got better the longer we stayed. Everything you need to make yourself comfortable is in the house; hair dryer, blender, shot glasses - everything you think you may need is all there. The only thing is is that it is quite a while away from shops/places to eat so you will need to be organised and go shopping. They have a driver to drive you anywhere for a flat rate price, they also offer a private chef (which we didn't use). The staff that work at Sapphire add so much value to the experience: Mrs Va was wonderful and so welcoming, she ensured we were comfortable and made sure we knew to let her know if we needed anything. Jope, the driver, is so professional and courteous at all times. Our boys weren't the most quiet of guests nor did they like to stay in one place for too long but wherever they wanted to go Jope made sure he was there to take them. He is so reliable and made sure we were comfortable also. We really enjoyed our time with Jope, and even his dogs he has on his own property. I will go so far as to say we gave them our own names. I have been and will continue to be an advocate for Sapphire Bay as it truly is a dream to stay here.
The villas are amazing, so spacious and beautifully decorated. Everything you need for an amazing holiday is there! The pool was also fabulous.. Although freezing cold.... But hey you can't have everything. Total relaxation and not just for us grown ups, the kids also had such a chilled out time too. Fantastic staff who again nothing is too much trouble for them.
Our family group comprised 7 adults and we spent 8 days at Sapphire Bay in June, to celebrate a significant birthday. On arrival at the airport we were greeted by Jope, who provided our free transfer to the villa and was available to drive us anywhere we needed to go during our stay. While these excursions were chargeable, they were more cost effective than hiring your own van for a group of our size. We stayed in Villa 2, which was our pick of the 3 villas, offering extensive water views on one side and a large grassed area on the other. The villa is approximately 18 months old comprising 4 bedrooms. Each bedroom has air conditioning. Two bedrooms have a king bed and ensuite with twin basins, shower, separate bath and toilet. The other two rooms each have 2 queen beds and share a third bathroom with a shower, separate toilet and separate vanity. The living/dining/kitchen area is open plan but has no airconditioning. However we found that we could get a good cross breeze through the area by opening the double front door on one side and the stacking sliders on the deck side. The kitchen is large enough to accommodate multiple people while preparing a meal and is well equipped. There is also a separate laundry with automatic washing machine, dryer and iron, so no problem laundering towels and clothing when needed. The dining room table comfortably accommodates 10 adults and there is a second table of the same size on the external deck, along with 4 deck loungers. The lounge area seats 6 people, but we rarely used this area, as we spent our days and evenings in and around the pool. The infinity pool is very deep, approximately 6ft and has no railing. While this was fine for an adult group, those travelling with children would have to be watchful. We found the pool to be quite cold, despite having glorious weather during our stay. Perhaps in the hotter summer months you would be grateful for the coolness of the water. Given the plentiful sunshine, perhaps adding solar panels on the roof of the villa could be an option for the future, to take the chill off the water and to help reduce the cost of the airconditioning. Free wifi is provided, but we found the coverage to be inconsistent, which was frustrating when trying to research and book excursions. Be sure to pack insect repellant as the sand flys/mosquitoes rule! We self-catered for the duration of our stay, with the exception of one night when we enjoyed a traditional Fijian feast, prepared by the villa’s staff. A fun night was had by all, with a sharing of the Fijian and Maori cultures. Whilst the villa is located only 15 mins from Nadi Airport, it is very remote. If you are looking for a place to chill and unwind away from the usual pressures of western life, then this is absolutely the place to stay, and the villa van is always available to transport you when needed. We would recommend that you do a significant grocery shop on arrival, as you can’t just run down to the local store if you forget something. We found the food selection wasn’t as extensive as we are used to in NZ, and the fruit and vege supply is still recovering from the damage of the recent cyclones. Meals and drinks in restaurants were also expensive. Whilst the villa is near new and beautifully appointed, there are a few minor things that could be done to improve the experience. For instance, the only mirrors in the villa were above the vanity, so adding a mirror into each bedroom would be beneficial. At nightime, the lighting in the bathrooms was insufficient if you were trying to apply makeup, but could be easily resolved with the addition of a lighted magnifying mirror, which could also be used when shaving. Each bedroom could also benefit from having a more substantial wardrobe option, rather than the rail and open shelf that is provided. The deep lounging bath was a luxury, unfortunately it took 40 mins to fill. All minor points that in no way took away from our enjoyment. The villa manager, Mrs Va, called by a few times during our stay just to check in and ensure that we had everything we required and the other members of the team were always quick to smile and greet us as we passed them on the property. However it is Jope who most deserves our acknowledgement. In Jope you have a fantastic ambassador for Sapphire Bay. From our observations he worked tirelessly, either leading his team of workers in maintaining the property, or driving us on various excursions, making himself available at any time of day or night. He was professional and respectful at all times, and our family thoroughly enjoyed his company during our stay. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting privacy and time to relax.
Cant say enough good things about this place. As locals the concept of "coming from big familes" makes "getting away" difficult, but, sapphire was able to accommodate all 16 of us and also allowed us to host a few more guests for a few hours for our nephews 1st birthday. Aunty va would come in to check on us once in a while and staff were always at hand to help us with a few issues. I've already started recommending this place to close friends who would love to experience that luxury "getaway" right here in Fiji. Vinaka
Stayed for 3 nights with my parents, brother, husband and 7 month old son. Beautiful Villa, very modern and spacious. Fully equipped kitchen. The view was also amazing! Was given a mobile to use to contact her, and free wifi. We only saw Mrs Va when we checked in and out. Was kind & easy to deal with. The highlight of our stay was a 4 hour tour with Jope, their driver/tour guide. It was great to experience Fiji with him as he was very knowledgeable and took us to some amazing places. It was a pleasure spend a day with him.
