We dined for dinner on a Thursday evening. Waited quite some time for the menus to be brought before we had to ask for the menus ourselves. Asked for our juices without ice and had to have it changed as it came with quite a bit of ice. I couldn't eat my meal as the Thai chicken satay skewers were under cooked and chewy. I ended up sitting my chicken out after 3 attempts to eat it and returned the dish to the kitchen. Observed the waiter serving the restaurants Caucasian guests and avoiding our table. Had to walk up to staff and ask for table service. The guests at the restaurant were also smoking which is prohibited by law. I requested the waiter to do something about it but he advised that they can smoke. I am giving it two stars here as the view from the restaurant is exceptional and beautiful.

The most disgusting place I have stayed at. Had oceanview room which you couldn't see the ocean because of the trees. The taps were falling off in the bathroom. Only 1 tv channel worked. 1 sheet on bed and I couldn't get a blanket from anyone! Only had 1 tiny bedside light that worked and when i went and asked for a light globe was told the maintenance department had to do it and they were finished for the day!!!!! The swim up bar i dont think its been in operation for a LONG time. Was promised a compendium for the room as it had all activities and entertainment in it. Well it never turned up and then i was told if we want entertainment we would have to go to first landing resort. Then there was a train track through the resort outside our room that goes at all hours of day and night. Not safe if you have young kids or if you want to sleep. We were suppose to be there 4 nights but checked out after 1 night as it was not as described at all. Was refused a refund and unless it comes through we have taken it further. This place is a scam. Its a hostel not a resort.

I booked the Anchorage when I impulse booked a holiday to Fiji. Next time I’ll probably stay on Denarau but this was okay. First things first, there is neither a beach nor is this a resort. It most closely resembles a holiday park with private rooms. The website is full of details that actually simply aren’t true, or are outdated. -the ‘ocean front’ room had a train track, row of trees, two paths, a pool, and a row of cabanas between the room and the ocean - the ‘beach’ is a stretch of sand visible at lower tides. Reasonably pretty in its way, but not useable as a beach per se - the ‘welcome drink’ was a choice of two juices, the same ones free at breakfast - the ‘breakfast’ was like a cheap school camp - cereal, milk, toast you had to make yourself in ancient toasters, an array of spreads and a bit of fruit, with juice, tea, coffee Other negatives: - very secluded, hard to get anywhere without a car or being on the water - the food from the restaurant is edible, but not great - the cabanas are kinda filthy - everything is run down. Everything. Sorely needs some TLC - the wifi is pretty bad, even for Fiji Positives: - great day trips - I did Denarau and Beachcomber. The boats were used on Heartbreak Island which was a bit of a laugh :) - Vale ( I hope I got that right!) in the spa is a gem - superb massages and customer care. The boat staff are all excellent as well. - the staff all genuinely try - they are friendly and make the most of what is possible where they can. I donated to their staff fund , and I hope they are able to use that money for treats. - the room was huge, the aircon worked, and the servicing was reasonably reliable It’s worth noting that the sugar cane train runs at any hour of the day or night literally in front of the property, and this was a bit of a shock to see. It’s also worth noting that I spoke to loads of people who go there regularly. In short: - not a resort - no luxuries - cheap option that you can still have a decent holiday at I wouldn’t stay there again, until it’s had some attention, the website is really-presented honestly, and the tweaks are works out. But nothing was shockingly bad, it was what it was. Oh and take insect repellent. It’s the tropics. I got bitten. It happens, but be prepared!

Very disappointed. Shuttle pre booked with Anchorage Resort from Nandi Airport to Anchorage driver was waiting for us then he filled van with others we waited 1hr for his return totally unacceptable. Room very average no hot water for 1 day and half, shower over bath, shower curtain dirty, only 2 bath towels so thin you could just about see through, 1 bath mat no hand towel. Breakfast very average, food expensive only 1 female behind the bar waited 45 min for a drink. The outside toilet just about made me sick it was absolutely disgusting so filthy it was nearly overflowing. Totally unacceptable for a resort. I was talking to a Mum who had a new baby she didn’t bath the baby the time she was at the Resort as it was dirty. Lots of negative comments from other tourists. This resort is expensive for what they offer. I do not recommend and will not be returning.

Right, so, don’t believe the creative writing on the website it’s all exaggerated and over sold. From what we could establish, is, if the Australian couple who own the place would pay their staff a decent wage, and pay for repairs and maintenance on the place, it might be okay. Everything about the place is run down and tired, staff clearly weren’t happy, we were laughed at when we questioned some of the things promised on the website, and, you could tell there has been no money spent on things like air conditioning repairs, new towels, slippery, dangerous paths and stairs, and don’t even get me started with the train tracks, and the trains going through less than ten meters from some of the rooms at 2am (and I kid you not, one even de-railed in the hotel grounds!!) Pay the small extra amount and stay at Denarau, it’s easily worth it.

Friendly helpful staff. Lovely setting. Don't expect 5 star. 20 min dive from Lautoka city and Nadi.(Courtesy coach daily) Tour boats leave from the Jetty daily. Continental breakfast was enough for us..fresh fruit, cereal, toast and coffee. Tried the menu a couple of times..pricey but pretty good. Good burgers. Chicken and rice. Lovely pool. The sugar can train came through on our last day..cute. Id go back. Vinaka

My husband and i stayed at the Anchorage resort for our 5 day honeymoon. It wasn't as we expected but understand that its not a 5 star resort. Pretty much you get what you paid for. Downfall - we booked last minute and stayed in the mountain room in which we had cold showers and leakage onto the floor and the single bed next to our double bed... i let reception know in the morning and kindly they upgraded us to ocean view which was very kind of them.. also when we moved to the second room there was water leaking out of the air-con in which we were again moved to another room. Not a great start to our honey moon. No wifi in rooms which was a down fall for us but understand it was not advertised. Massage is rarely opened as we booked for 10am Friday morning (our last day) received a call saying the massage person wasn't coming meaning we didnt even get to use our welcome massages before heading home. Complementary drinks are non-Alcoholic which is disappointing as we can get juice from the restaurant any time. The swim up bar is advertised as being open daily until 6pm, but it is not. It should be advertised as being close daily and never used. Not just that, the schedule we got when we arrived for shows and etc that was suppose to take place different nights of our stay was a week old. There was no fire show, no coconut cutting and everything was false advertising on the hotel schedule. Everything is pretty out of date and old. There is no one that stays at this resort. The whole week i was here i saw 3 people. There are more staff than people staying at this resort. The good - loved the staff, everyone was so friendly and kind. Smiling and greeting us every single morning. We went to beachcomber and spent one day there (it was gorgeous). Food was nice at the restaurant. Transport into town was good, saved us money. The ocean view rooms are pretty clean. Suggestions - wifi in room, more than 2 channels on tv would be nice, massages to be available upon booking. At least a free shuttle to and from the airport ($40fjd) for one way. Spending $80fjd before even coming to the resort. Overall, our stay was relaxing but will not stay here again if we decide to come back to fiji. I recommend anyone coming to fiji do not book here unless you want to be disappointed with the fiji experiences.

Very close to main shopping towns of Nadi and Lautoka. The resort is right on the beach and the pool is very nice and kept clean. No Wifi in the rooms and no swim up bar. Wifi at the restaurant was unreliable but the food was very good. The room was spacious and very clean. Road up to the resort isn't in good shape. A good spot if you don't plan to be in your room much and want a quiet place to sleep.

Very disappointed, online this resort advertises it has cable TV, minibar and wifi, it has none of these!. We booked the villa, the TV barely worked(bad reception) it only got 1 local channel, bed was hard as a brick I got a sore back, no minibar, we left our swim gear out to dry in morning a pair of shorts were gone, clearly stolen! we told the reception, no one seemed to care. Breakfast consisted of cereal and toast.

Great intimate spa in the rooms we stayed in with comfortable beds lovely breakfast in the morning greeted by friendly staff. There is also boat transfers to Denarau, Beachcomber resort Funky Fish Resort and Cloud 9 day trips
