Palms Place Hotel and Spa at the Palms Las Vegas

4.5 out of 5.0

The room was exactly like the pictures. The pool was a little small and there were no utensils or dishes for the kitchenette but it was still a good room. I would definitely stay there again for the price.

Basically everything they told us about the hotel was not true. It smelt terrible and looked like someone had been murdered. There was a huge red stain on the carpet that they seemed to not care about cleaning up and just put the chair over it. It was disgusting.

I was really looking forward to our vacation. Our room was outdated. The chairs were worn down, there were stains on the dressers, the jetted tub did not work, there was a bug in one of the drawers. I imagine that the other rooms were better, I know they are working on them. The pool closes at 6:00 pm. The staff was friendly, and the price was good. I didn’t ask for the upgrade with the view of the strip but we had a nice view of the mountains.

I have stayed at The Palms before and thought I was upgrading by staying at The Palms Place. WRONG. First, besides the spa and small pool located at Palms Place, there are no other amenities inside this hotel. You have to walk to The Palms to get to the casino, restaurants, etc which is a very far walk. 2. Construction going on in this hotel and The Palms was an absolute nightmare. Our view of the strip was completely cluttered with construction crews and loud noises. The main bar at The Palms was shutdown completely and while walking through the casino, you had to dodge various construction workers coming from all directions. 3. During the middle of the afternoon an alarm went off inside my room announcing there was an emergency and everyone had to evacuate via the stairs. I was on the 10th floor. This was not fun. I understand an emergency but what was puzzling is once we arrived downstairs in a panic, there was only about five other guests who chose to evacuate and no hotel staff was around to explain the issue or alert guests as to when they could go back to their room. It was very bizarre and frustrating. 4. Balcony - If you do not rent these rooms via Airbnb, you do NOT have access to the balcony. The door is locked when you arrive and will remain locked. The front desk attendant plainly told me that you have to have permission from the rooms actual owner to unlock the balcony. So that was fun. Having a balcony you could stare at but not go out onto?

Many of the previous reviews, both positive and negative, are accurate. The property is definitely aging. The rooms and their furnishings are worn and beat up. Some minor things can be expected not to work. The exterior windows of the property are very dirty, implying they no longer have them cleaned. In general, the rooms are dated and do not really measure up to anything I would call luxury. BUT... The bed was insanely comfortable and I slept better than I ever sleep in strange places. The staff was friendly and did their best to accommodate any request or complaint we had. Parking was easy and free, even if garage construction did kick up a lot of dust. When I compare the price to the overall quality of the stay, I'd say it was well worth it. Not a shocking bargain or anything, but well worth it. The kitchenette and guest-use fridge meant we could prepare some of our own food and save some $$$ on the trip, so that was a bonus. I'd definitely consider returning.

I enjoyed the hotel, the rooms were really nice with a great view of the strip, the only thing was the construction in front of us but other then that everything was great

This review is best expressed in bullet points. - rude security guard at check-in who demanded an apology for stopping in an area he claimed was disallowed but which front desk suggested was fine - broken freezer that melted our ice cream - no resort info booklet in room, front desk promised to send one up but never followed through - no dishes initially provided, and it took three calls to room service and multiple hours to get the right amount sent to room - mattress on sofa bed so worn out that we had to get rollaway cots - room too dark, both in terms of décor and lack of lighting - TV initially nonfunctional, but promptly repaired - no remote control for DVD player - no housekeeping on first day - no replenishing of shampoo & soap on second day - comically impractical coffee maker (i.e., impossible not to spill water when filling it) - jets in in-room tub didn't work - kitchen furniture was very worn out

I like the room it's huge but I didn't like the mattress and the pillows, over all it's a nice place to stay.

Very spacious! Bathroom had jetted tub and shower separate and even had a TV inside the bathroom. Bed and living room are very comfy and also have two tv’s on wall

Hotel was nice when was built, but they are not maintaining it. Chairs they choose not to replace, are all ripped up, not even sure how to sit on them, windows would definitely use some wash, since at daylight they make your view look very bad.. I would say they haven't washed them for couple years.... I believe the 4.5 rating does not make this hotel any better than any 3.5 or 4.0 rated hotels, since they probably got rated when built, but not maintaining it makes this place look bad, and they close pool at 6..... I wasted all the 1.5 hours waiting for them to get me better room, and they did, but chairs still looked like hungry bulldogs been ripping them apart, so didn't get a chance to go to pool because of that.. ; Last: don't touch anything in the mini-bar, because you will be charged for it, even if you don't use it.. (they said they have sensors there, so now I have to wait 5-7 business days to get refund for thing I didn't use, but touched it to see it). One of the ladies that does the valet parking hates her job, and knows nothing about customer service, or communication in general .. so I just used self-park because of that -- couldn't afford someone giving me attitude over and over while I am on vacation.

Fantastic experience during visit with my family. Best hotel west if the strip

The computer system was down and it took over 12 hours for me to get into my room. It wasted my entire 1st day. I missed my dinner reservations and the staff was not helpful or accommodating at all. I will never stay there again.

Hotel was beautiful. It was very close to the strip

This hotel is an excellent location excellent service

Great , My boyfriend loved it for his first time . The deposit is high to stay here and the refrigerator was missing items we never took .

High floor. Strip view. Can’t beat it for the price. I rank one bedroom suite as #1 suite under $200 in Vegas. Book through orbitz with the promo code and you will get the best rate.

Amazing stay!! Rooms in palms suite was beautiful felt like a studio apartment

Tried to cx as soon as I realized I booked the wrong date. Then asked for credit towards the correct night and wouldn’t do. Was looking forward to my first stay here too.

This hotel leaves a lot to be desired. First, the valet would not let us use his cart which is fine but then he didn't have the courtesy of telling us to bring our car around so that he could assist us. Secondly, I paid for a suite. typically on the strip suites are two separate rooms. Not at Palms Place, this was just a regular sized room, with a fold-out bed instead of another bed. Further they had two tvs placed side by side on the same wall, redundant and stupid. Finally, there is a lot of glass and glossy surfaces in the room which is fine but the problem is that the room staff had failed to clean to the level necessary to ensure that smudge marks weren't visible. Additionally, a previous occupants hair was on full display in the shower stall. Lastly the hotel advertises free wifi, uh...no. you have to pay $4.95 for SLOW service and $14.95 for regular (non-throttled) speeds.

Will always stay at the palms when I visit Vegas !!!
