We were on an unexpected trip due to family illness and heading back home. Traveling and staying at different hotels the last 6 days, this hotel by far was the most unexpected surprise. Even though on an exit with not many restaurants, our room was outstanding. We had a suite with a king bed, couch and even a lounge arm chair with ottoman. Also had a bar sink and refrigerator. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Thank you for decent lighting in the room and can actually see. Love the large pillows on the bed. Breakfast was excellent as always and love the cinn. buns as always. Self coin laundry available. Far away from interstate so very quiet.
We arrived very late, travelling from Arkansas to New Mexico in 2-days (I know! Ugh!). Very tired. The staff here were very nice, I can't remember the lady at the desk's name (started with an L I think) but she was very friendly, nice smile and put up with my husband's teasing. Very accomodating of our requests. Nice room with micro, sink, fridge, etc. Super good breakfast, anything you could want. Quiet room, very restful.
I usually love staying at Holiday Inn Express but this was not a good experience for me. I asked for a non smoking room and when I checked in I went to the room and everything smelled like smoke. I suffer from asthma so this wasn’t good for me. When I talked to front desk the hotel was booked. Didn’t seem very concerned about my situation. Was in town for 5 days. Stayed one night and stayed at another hotel which was great.
I've stayed probably about 20 days over the last several months and every stay was great. The hotel is clean, inviting, appears well run. The room and bed was very comfortable with good internet and TV. The bathroom was well lite with good hot water and lighting. Their parking normally is great but part of it is under construction. Even do parking was good. The breakfast area was well kept, serviced, and lots of hot selections. Will be back.
We were heading east on I-10 and had reservation for another hotel about 100 miles further down the road. But when we arrived Las Cruces in late afternoon, I realized we had lost an hour due to time zone change, and did not want to drive another hour and half in the dark. So we stopped by this Holiday Inn Express which was right next to the freeway. I was an IHG member and was greeting by a very friendly young lady, Celeste who offered us an exact room we like at the posted rate. We were happy with the room which was clean and comfortable that provided us with a good night's rest. The breakfast next morning was pleasant with plenty of tables and food choices. Celeste also helped us to book the next night at a Holiday Inn express further down the freeway. The only slightly negative aspect was the provided shampoo and conditioner was in such hard plastic bottles that it took super efforts to use them. Also, the shower head was mounted ridiculously high and the spray pattern was awful. Adjustment was almost impossible, plus the bath tub was too slippery to be safe. No rubber mat was provided in the room.
Good The hotel, room, and bathroom were clean. There is a variety of breakfast items that are kept hot and replenished promptly. Bad The fourth floor hallway was uncomfortably warm, tending toward hot. The front desk said they were waiting on a compressor part. The hotel should have a contingency plan to keep the hallway bearable in the event of such a problem. The shower head was set ridiculously high in the shower wall. A short person could not reach it. I am close to 6 ft. tall and I even had a problem reaching the shower head to adjust the spray. See the picture. The shower head is apparently calcified because the fine spray went a variety of directions except down. In the morning, I let the hot water run quite a few minutes and it never got hot, just warm.
Outside looks really nice and the staff was extremely friendly. Furniture tired. Room was decent. Clean. After a long drive, we arrived at 7pm with take out food ready to eat and retire early. However, Our room was 82 degrees when we arrived. It was unbearably hot and did not cool down until midnight. Our kids could not fall asleep in the heat. It did eventually cool off. Disappointing they tried to save a buck by leaving the air off. Went to swim the next morning and the pool was closed. ;(
Love the staff, the cleanliness and the overall facility. The breakfast was delicious and abundant as well. It always felt like I was walking into my home every night when I walked in the front door of the hotel. Warm and friendly.
Very very clean building and rooms.all staff r there for u.the outside grounds are immcalute.great shower. Wet bar fridgerator. Great breakfast selection. This location is quick for what ever location u r visiting. parks, old town, DT.
The staff were really nice, but we were not offered a cookie. The room was really clean, but rough around the edges. I love the Holiday Inn brand and I am disappointed that it was shabby. The bathroom had discolored flooring around the toilet. A face plate was missing, and the sink had some kind of a plumbing issue. The carpeting was frayed around the closet door. I expect better from a Holiday Inn! The front desk did not have a cork screw! This is New Mexico, not Utah! Breakfast was perfect. And the hotel was quiet.
