GoGlasgow Urban Hotel

High Value Accomodations

Great value but a little ways away from things like City Centre, excellent location for football stadium. Stayed there for a conference at the SECC, quiet mile walk each way. Many parks within 1.5 miles, great staff, clean and modern room. Would definitely stay again next time in Glasgow.

Malmaison Glasgow

Enjoyable boutique hotel preferable to syndicated chains

I came to Glasgow to attend a conference ar the SECC. I was supposed to stay in one of the conference-recommended hotels near the convention center but missed that opportunity. I'm very pleased that I found the Malmaison instead, at the recommendation of a friend who stayed there frequently, up to a few years ago. Although the hotel is not in the city center, nor near the convention center, the benefits far outweigh any inconvenience. The SECC is isolated and windswept and there is little close by. I took a taxi each day to the conference at an average cost of 8 pounds sterling each way. The Hotel is in a short walk to Sauciehall Street, where there are many shops and restaurants. That street gets brought the more upscale the further along one walks and it is not that far to The pedestrian precinct of Buchanan and Argylle streets. The bedroom has a queen atmosphere and the bed and pillows are comfortable. It is a little difficult to adjust the temperature of the room with the hot water radiator bought it can be achieved. The bath room has unusual black slate walls on one side and the bath and shower all fine although there is no hand shower. The provided shower gel shampoo and towels all more than adequate and of good quality. The water was plentiful and hot. Noticeably missing, however, was a shaving/ make up Mira. There is a convenience Miniball with snacks and wine and facilities for making coffee and tea. Be provided continental breakfast in the restaurant downstairs, is more than adequate and the full cook breakfast can be obtained for very little extra. It is disadvantageous that the restaurant does not open until 8 AM on the weekends. Incidentally the restaurant is an excellent grill for other meals. The stuff will all extremely pleasant and very helpful. The lighting of the reception lobby is Rall the gloomy but fits in with the somewhat macabre decor. Mention must be made of the quirky signs in the bedroom, relating to making up the room, breakfast and the snacks. all told, a delightful place to stay

Campanile Hotel Glasgow - SECC

Glasgow 2 day stay

Easy to find, right off the highway. Very basic. Comfortable beds. Good for a couple days. We walked to the center our first day there, which was about 1 mile? Easy walk. We drove to the center the following day and found parking easily. Great to have free hotel parking. Also, great italian restaurant right outside at the round building.
