While it would be a stretch to call the place a dump, it is clearly a facility being run by people who do not care about it. No soap in shower dispenser (which is taped to the wall). Room smells like bleach. Floors are slimy/slippery. Can hear the people outside the room clearly. Not even butter with the toast at ‘breakfast’. The outside staircase is not stained/painted. Not even sure if it’s under construction or not. Honestly I should get a refund.
The room smelled like cigarette smoke. The blankets on the bed were too thin and the mattress was uncomfortable. That place could use and upgrade on mattresses and they should not allow smoking in any rooms.
The women who checked us in that night was great! Very friendly, talked for a little bit, seemed like she liked being there. The room you could tell was cleaned, but had a stale smoke smell to it, but was only there for one night, so wasn't a big deal for us. The main issue was around 4am that morning we were woken up by 4 loud bangs and glass shattering. We peaked out the window because we weren't sure what it was. It was quiet outside, but the sound was close enough where we weren't going to open the door. Didn't go back to sleep really after that, but no police lights, voices or anything was heard. We we were getting on the road around 6am and saw 2 doors down the window was completely smashed in. (Glad I didn't open the door with it being so close) When I went to the front desk to drop our key cards off, I called the phone number as no one was there just so they were aware of the smashed window and that it happened at 4am if they had cameras to check. She stated they were aware of the window and that police had not been contacted as they can't check the cameras until later in the day. If I had known that prior I would not stay at this location again as I would not feel safe, especially right after an incident and the police were not called. As well as she was aware of the situation and glass was still left everywhere near the stairwell.
It was a bit surprising as the pictures gave the impression it was newer. Price was better than the Lake George properties. However since there wasn’t a pool we spent only time there to sleep and shower.

Shower did not work, heat adjustment on bathtub defective, either hot or cold but no middle adjustment, bath tub old with tons of cigarette burnmarks and bottom of tub rough and dirty. As a long distance traveller I came in for a good shower. Obviously not achievable. So I took a bath. Ran 1/3 hot and then enough cold to get the right temperature. The tub was kind of sandy. Not from me! The room number was 18, just opposite the outside stairs to the upper floor. No more Day’s Inn for me!!

Property appears run down. Smokers loiter outside the rooms. Impossible to avoid secondhand smoke just trying to get to one’s room. Toilet seat was very loose, almost fell off.
Bed sheets were stained w/ some flea droppings on them,
Property is located about 10 minutes away from the heart of Lake George. Hotel was clean and staff was friendly and accommodating
