Stayed in September for the 2nd time. We were given a room on the top floor with an amazing view of the lake. We went with parents who enjoyed it too. The room was lovely & kept clean. The food was really good with a good selection for breakfast & dinner. Would definitely return to Bled & stay at the Astoria.

The hotel is walking distance to the lake and shops. The food was fairly good for a buffet style dinner, a good range each night. The room was perfect and had a balcony which was nice. The spa was odd as you had to be naked to go into any of the steam rooms/saunas, but that's just a personal opinion! I'm British aha. All in all, good value for money

Positive stuff, excellently situated yards from good bars & restaurants clean nice sized rooms, food buffet so limited but hot, varied, and acceptable for a 3 star hotel. Bar rarely manned, and has no atmosphere, with limited selection, but not an issue as very close to bars in town.Staff really helpful and friendly. enjoyable 7 day stay.

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at Hotel Astoria in Lake Bled, Slovenia . The hotel is in a great central position for access to the lake, restaurants and bars and the bus station. We were given a room on the second floor with a balcony and had stunning views of the lake, the castle and the mountains. It was a pleasure to wake up each morning ! The staff were all friendly and very polite with excellent customer skills. They genuinely seemed interested in talking to guests and were able to advise on the local area. Service at both breakfast and dinner was efficient , with an excellent menu and some lovely Slovenian dishes . Lake Bled itself is beautiful , with stunning scenery and lots of walking trails and sights to see - a shame that there wasn't much snow there for this time of year (we had to catch a bus to Lake Bohinj and take the cable car up to Vogel for amazing Alpine snow scenes). The hotel also has the benefit of a lovely spa which was wonderful at the end of the day after walking many miles - and a body massage on my final day made a perfect end to our holiday.

we spent 3 nights at this friendly, hotel in the fantastic town of bled the staff we all very friendly and made us feel very welcome we got a great price for dinner bed and breakfast and the food was excellent the hotel is modern and the room was very clean and had everything you needed we found bled beautiful in the snow and the people very friendly we will return to this hotel very soon a great place to stay

Really surprised by the service at this hotel considering the low price we paid, staff are friendly and always willing to help, the spa was nice and we had a fantastic massage included in our package, very close to lake bled. Reception were incredibly helpful during our stay, rooms are basic and comfortable (what the pay for) everything else exceeded my expectation, when I next visit bled I won't hesitate in booking this hotel again.

We stayed here for 5 days half board on a short break. Overall very good value for money, food was good with a varied choice. The room was comfortable and clean but had 3 minor issues. 1 - No mirror in the bedroom 2- No tea making facilities. 3- Double bed was two singles pushed together (with two single duvets) These issues did not detract from our enjoyable stay and we would return.

We stayed one week in this hotel. I must say it is an excellent location for Lake Bled, just a short walk away and the castle was a 10-15 minute walk away. This was primarily a skiing holiday for us and it is a 30-40 minute drive to Vogel Ski Resort - really handy! I feel that the hotel could improve on a few things: 1) The room was quite small, with no small sofa or seating area. The bedding didn’t not feel particularly good quality. There was enough cupboard space, though. 2) The bathroom was tired, with no bath just a shower. Towels were poor quality. 3) The bar area was fine but didn’t have any atmosphere - a log fire or more comfortable seating rather than tables and chairs would be better. Overall, the food was fine, with a good selection each morning and evening. For breakfast you could ask the chef to make you an omelette or smoothie. In the evenings there was enough choice without it feeling repetitive each night. The wellness centre was our main reason for going to this hotel and it did not disappoint with 3 different saunas, a steam room, and jacuzzi area. It was great! You get 2 complimentary passes and then it is €10pp, which was well worth paying. Everyone is nude, though, so beware if this isn’t your thing! You can also pay extra for massages. There were two downsides: firstly, it was only open from 2pm, which was a shame when the weather wasn’t v good in the morning. Secondly, it can get v busy so make sure you reserve. We weren’t told this by the staff so turned up and was turned away! There is also a small gym which is free to use. But for what we paid this hotel is very good value for money and perfectly fine if you want to use it as a base for Lake Bled or Vogel Ski Resort.

Generally a very nice hotel. Probably better than its star rating would suggest. Rooms are modern and well kept. The spa is excellent value and well worth a visit also. Excellent location for all of bled's attractions. Short walk to the lake itself and very close to the bus station for easy connections. My only criticism would be the poor coffee on offer at breakfast!

Booked with Secret Escapes for a four night break. We arrived quiet early and luckily our room was ready. The room was adequate and everything was very clean. From the small balcony we could see the castle. There was a good choice of food at the buffet breakfast and dinner. The lake is within easy walking distance and is easy to walk around. The bus station is only a few minuets away so we went into Ljubljana which is a lovely City. The market was very interesting. The Christmas lights were worth seeing and you could still get the bus back in time for supper. The bus is more like a coach and very comfortable as the journey is around1hour 20 mins. Included in our stay was a massage which was one of the best ones I have had. For a 3 star hotel I was impressed with the cleanliness and also the staff were efficient, friendly and helpfull.
