Black Bear Lodge

Nice stay

Orbitz listed it as a deluxe cabin but I really got a condo-style apartment. It was clean, spacious and recently renovated. I wish there was a 3rd fire pit closer to our room. Good fishing and included activities like kayaking. Onsite restaurant was average.

Great Northern Motel

Nice country motel

My only real complaint is the horribly noisy bathroom fans; the floor and walls vibrate when your neighbor's fan is on. Need to replace all the fans.

Quality Inn

Very nice room for the money

Late night staff was untrained, and it took 25 minutes to check us in. Pain to wait at the front desk for 10 min for someone to come to the desk. I had to call the hotel number and let it ring for 5 min. before she showed up. Then she didn't know how to check us in. I think she was really the cleaning person that was not trained for the job. Or maybe she just started. The hotel room was very nice. I was not expecting it to be this nice. Large bath tub in the bathroom with jets. I have never seen that in a hotel. Beautiful tile in the bathroom and beds were comfortable and attractive. Nice breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles and all the normal breakfast items you would expect. There was a pool and hot tub that looked nice. We didn't have time to use them. One strange thing is they didn't have a lobby bathroom. So make sure you use the bathroom in your room before you turn in your keys. Or if you were at the pool you would have to go to your room???
