Naira is a very nice hotel located right in the hart of La Paz. It is quaint and the rooms, bed and shower are good. Why not 5 stars ? The breakfast is mediocre while it is served in restaurant which can do much better and the whole hotel is somewhat noisy due to restaurant and closeby streets.
Stayed at Hostal Naira for 5 nights. Very clean rooms. Charming place. I was convinced the cleaning lady was a part time ninja. Never once did she disturb us, but the room was always very promptly cleaned each day. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant is lovely and food is good, but not the cheapest. My only flag is the internet. Each guest was given their own security code and it only worked for one device. It also kept kicking you off and asking for your password again. It didn’t bother me, but would be an issue for anyone needing to do business while there.
We had a nice room to the patio. So it was quiet, only when other guests arrived or left there was some noise. The staff is very friendly and the room and the shower etc. was clean and worked well. The restaurant that belongs to the hotel offers very good food to affordable prices. Also here the staff is very friendly. We liked the place very much, stayed for three days and can only recommend the Naira.
We stayed 2 nights at this hotel, before and after a trip to Uyuni. Check-in was quickly expedited by the friendly staff. We got a room on ground floor at the inside courtyard. There were not windows in the room but it didn't bother us a bit, and it was quiet as well. Good bed and nice shower in the bathroom. The breakfast is taken in the small cafeteria next to the entrance, and is average. Location is very good, right next to San Francisco cathedral, and walking distance to lots of bars and restaurants. The neighbourhood felt quite safe as well. We left a bag of laundry after night 1, to be collected upon our return. Everything was there, clean, cheap as well.
The hotel has basic comfort and is located in a good location. There are some nice restaurants closeby, the witches market street (all small shops and some fun local shopping) is around the corner as well as a Bolivian style mall. The cable cars are at walking distance. The rooms do not have heating so in the winter it gets quite cold inside the room but one can get an electrical heater if necessary. We stayed there twice during our tours in Bolivia. FIrst time, the rooms had trouble with hot water, the second time all was fine. Inside the hotel is a small diner for meals which is very convenient
We had reservations at another location that just was not acceptable. We had eaten at the restaurant next door years ago so knew there was a hotel next to it. Had the taxi drop us off at Parque San Francisco (four of us). Ran in and asked if they had room for four. THANKFULLY the did. Upper scale hotel was PERFECT for our last four nites in Bolivia. Clean rooms, comfortable bed, hot shower!!!!
Awesome place! Great decor Great location Friendly attentive service - English speaking staff. Good value for money! Could improve on: - hotel beds, very creaky and noisy - cafe service pretty slow - slight smell in bathrooms
Located in the center of the city all the touristic spots are in walking distance. The rooms are decent, however those facing the street quite loud and not fully dark at night - didn‘t bother me too much though. The breakfast is okay but the coffee and milk aren‘t hot and the staff tends to forget to fill up the food.
This is a great hotel for a stay in La Paz. The location is great - on the main tourist street with plenty of restaurants. It was safe to walk from the hotel to the restaurants in the evening. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. There is good WiFi and the staff were extremely accommodating with our early check in (at 7am!). They were also helpful with booking taxis for the airport and provided a pack up breakfast.
We needed an overnight stay and a friend recommended this one. Beautiful inside and the rooms were pleasant. However, during the night you could hear everything and everyone entering the courtyard to gain access to the rooms. Nice hot showers, warm beds.
