The room was quite nice and modern, very comfortable. But- the Wi-Fi went out while we were there, and none of the staff really cared. This was the end of our trip after walking the camino, and we had several travel issues to resolve, which could not be done without Wi-Fi. The walls are quite thin, and even with earplugs I could hear people coming and going during the night. Lastly, the staff in the cafeteria were jerks. I ordered the buffet while my dad only wanted a coffee. They refused to let him buy just a coffee and insisted that he could only get coffee with a breakfast. That is, until I said nevermind on the breakfast, we would go somewhere else. Once I turned around to walk off they changed their tune.

This hotel has everything a tourist may want: good location, a nice room with beautiful design and everything very clean, nice staff, good breakfast and excellent rates for this hotel category.
Beautiful hotel. The concierge kindly stored our things while we packed with ultra-light back-packs the final three days to Finisterre.
After 800+ km on the Camino del Norte, Gelmirez was an absolute dream. Only a kilometer from the cathedral, very nice staff, and beautiful rooms. The concierge was nice enough to hold my bags while I hiked to Fisterre with the bare minimum - a 4 day trip. Highly recommended!
We enjoyed the hotel very much. 5-10 minute walk to the cathedral. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly.
