Great stay.... nice quiet island. One night key west three nights Caribbean resort, just right. Room was beautiful. Lux. Highly recommend renting the boat on property. Boat owner, Lou, laid back and easy to work with. Boat is steps from your front door. Fish, cruise, boat to the gulf side...all good. Keys at their best!
We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay here. We stayed in Canary Island North which was just perfect for our family of 4 adults. The house was very spacious, modern and clean with a glimpse of the ocean through the trees. It was also within walking distance to many nice restaurants (or cycling distance using the free bikes). We enjoyed dinner at The Green Turtle Inn and Chef Michaels. We’d also recommend popping into Bob’s Bunz for snacks but get there early to ensure you don’t miss out. The pool area was lovely with a good choice of sun and shady spots. The pool itself was a little on the chilly side but fine once you get used to it. It was sad leaving but we do hope to return in the future.
This resort far exceeded my expectations. We traveled with family and kids and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their visit. The kids get beautiful shells at check-in and they were thrilled. All the staff are very friendly and the housekeeping was thorough and efficient every day. We stayed over 4th July weekend and even though the resort was full it never seemed crowded. We had the pool to ourselves on many occasions. It was perfect for those who wanted to relax but also lots of options ( paddle boards, kayaks, bikes) for those who wanted more activity. I was most surprised by the quality and decor of the houses. They were beautifully decorated with lovely extra touches of local ornaments and the kitchen was fully equipped. We loved our visit to Islamorada and hope to be back again soon.
We went for a wedding and had no idea it would be so beautiful. The homes you can rent are high end Caribbean themed, gorgeous villas. The food and staff were great oh and the DJ, everyone was dancing!! Highly recommend!!!!!
A gated island retreat offering private cottages with ocean views. We loved the layout of our one bedroom villa and the grounds are exquisite. There’s a beautifully appointed pool which was very secluded. We were looking for a quiet getaway, but the hammering and construction from the immediate two neighboring properties started at 7 am. The sound of the beeping backhoe and other construction sounds continued throughout our entire trip. We did enjoy some peaceful stargazing, but if we had been planning to stay on property all day, this place would have been a deal breaker. The pillows are hard, so bring your own, and wait until the construction is complete.
This resort is new, clean and very nice. The suites are suitable for a long stay as the kitchens are full size and stocked nicely (except for salt/pepper). They have different sizes of rentals with different looks, something different and a nice touch. They have a beautiful, lush pool area (although no privacy if you want to sit alone) and a very nice dock to fish off of with a Tiki hut by the dock if you’d rather sit in the shade (but you have to move a lounger under it) They have outdoor grills, fishing poles, paddle boards, kayaks and bikes available at no cost which is fantastic for a family or if you’re staying a while. They will even let you dock a boat there if you’re staying there. It’s off the beaten path and faces East so don’t expect to see the sunset from there. When I made the reservation I stated that I wanted privacy because I was recovering from surgery. They gave us a suite that faced the driveway, NO privacy, we watched all the workers and patrons walking by our porch every morning :( We asked if we could have the suite in the same unit that had some privacy and they said no, even though it wasn’t rented 😒, a HUGE disappointment!!! The patio/dock chairs are set up so there are no variations- if you wanted to sit by the pool in a lounger and someone else in a chair, it wasn’t possible unless you moved furniture. I asked the office to put a lounger in a more secluded area in the pool area the day before we left and it wasn’t done in the morning (10:30), so I went to sit in the Tiki hut on the dock (after my husband moved a lounger there) which was fine because there was a nice breeze. After lunch the lounger in the pool area was moved, but it was too hot to sit out by then so I didn’t use it, which was ok because the no see ums were biting like crazy by the pool. 😕 They gave us a gift bag for $20 off for one of two restaurants and $15 off at a Ocean Gardens gift shop. All in all it was a nice stay and I would go there again, hopefully getting a more private suite! It would be nice if the seating arrangements were more versatile though.
This was a lovely resort, friendly, helpful staff and I wish we had stayed longer! Luxury apartment that had everything for our convenience, full kitchen, laundry facilities, plenty of space, all decorated to a high standard and displaying art from local traders. It was a beautiful spot with access to various activities for free. We tried paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing. They also have some bikes for use. It’s stood location with restaurants and shops within walking distance. We walked across the road to a bar to watch the sunset. Snorkelling availability is only 10 minutes drive.
Best vacation...EVER! Already looking forward to our next visit there! We stayed in the Canary Island South, truly a home away from home! Pool and grounds are well maintained and just beautiful! Private yet close to everything Islamorada has to offer.
Found the last unit at Caribbean Resort the night before we flew down on a spur of the moment fishing trip. We lucked into very nice accommodations only 5-10 minutes away from our boats. Very happy we stayed there. Magda in the office was helpful when I forgot a couple shirts down there. She called to let me know & mailed them to our house for a minor fee. Great customer Service!
There is no better place to truly enjoy the waters of the upper keys! The deep water marina Oceanside is a gem and minutes from great fishing spots! Plenty of dock space, dock carts to lug in our gear and a commercial ice machine. Private boat ramp as well! The resort is gorgeous and perfectly manicured. The pool area reminds of a tropical forest with lush vegetation. The homes are perfect with comfortable rooms and a gourmet kitchen where we prepare our fresh catch. The staff is attentive, kind and mindful of our privacy. Finally the location is hard to beat. Either by bike ( available from the resort) or walking many restaurants and bars are accessible. Even a 24 hr small grocery store will have all you need to feed your hungry crew. We have been going to the resort for years and book our book our week for the following summer when we check out!
