The room was nice, though the nature of the bathroom meant that there was some mold hidden in the crevices and in the caulking. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, great at answering questions about Kyoto. The breakfast was a really nice variety of dishes, both Japanese dishes and Western eggs and bacon. Laundry is just coin machines, nothing impressive, but gets the job done. Would gladly stay here again when I just need a compact room for myself. I didn't see any of the larger rooms, so I can't say how those would fit my family of 4.
