Wonderful surprise!

Could not have picked a place to stay in Kyoto six minute walk to Kyoto station in Kyoto tower. Got the moon, looking out towards the temple which was wonderful. The staff and facility are excellent. Even took a vantage of the bathhouse. Centrally located within a 30 minute radius of pretty much anywhere you want to go. Also a bike rental about 100 yards down the street for ¥1000 a day, which was a great way to get around to even have a night drive since we had to leave early in the morning, I cannot say more about the hotel and the people do yourself a favor and book this place

This place is great close to everything especially trains . View of temple across the street is nice and the staff is excellent would definitely stay here again if I come back to Kyoto

The hotel is very clean and the staff were all very lovely. The onsen was beautiful! The hotel is literally in front of a huge temple and so close to many attractions! The only thing I could think of improving is breakfast.

We loved the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is across the street from a beautiful large temple, and the hotel is walking distance from the train. The room was big enough which is always a concern in Japan. There were plenty of amenities. My wife and I agreed that we should stay here during our next trip to Kyoto.

Hotel kuu Great location 8 min from Kyoto station. 2 min from 2 diff bus stops. 1 min from family mart. Tons of restaurants within walking distance. We had rm503 with a view of an ancient temple across the st. Large room with western style bathroom and shower. Use the onsen. It’s fantastic and lose your inhibitions for a lil bit. Get naked in there. Check YouTube videos on etiquette. Everyone speaks enough English at the hotel to help you but please do yourself a favor and learn as much Japanese as possible. Especially thank you, please, good morning, etc. Download these Navi apps: HYPERDIA, google maps, and use Apple maps to verify bus stations. Hyperpedia can tell you better info on Shinkansen and local trains. Google maps is the best app here but the location of bus stations is a lil off. That’s why you should check Apple maps for exact location of bus stations because for some reason Apple maps is better at that. The room comes with a portable phone/mobile Wi-Fi hotspot that you can use to take around town with you. Use it please! It'll help those people with you who don’t have T-Mobile or whatever instant access to internet they have in their phones to get online and navigate like a pro. Breakfast was included and it’s great. Eggs to order, French toast, American style stuff along with the Japanese traditional food. Even ice cream for breakfast! Laundry is great. Onsen is great. Room is super clean. Staff is friendly and so helpful.

Thank you very for your extremely sweet comment! We love our hotel too and helping our guests to solve any problems! We always suggest considering those rooms with the temple view. It is higher but it is worthy for the extremely beautiful view, which give you afresh start in the morning and sweet end in the night. Also, free upgrade is arranged randomly to spread out the charm of the fascinating view of Higashi Hongan-Ji Temple, which have the biggest wood entrance in Japan! Best regards, Sai Youki HOTEL KUU KYOTO
