Although the hotel was good I am still trying to recover the holding deposit of MYR500 which was taken on my credit card at arrival despite being assured no debit would be processed. BEWARE they take the money plus commission on arrival. I have repeatedly emailed and still no refund has been received after 10 days.
We chose to stay in Pullman for our business trip because it is accessible to good food around the city area (restaurants and cafes) and it's not too far off from the Riverfront. The hotel room is huge and the amenities are great. There were issues with plumbing in the superior room I was in and the management quickly upgraded me to the deluxe. The views facing the waterfront are spectacular and we had a great 4D3N stay in Pullman.
Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights for a conference. it is handy to nearby places of interest around the city. hotel is clean and new, staff are friendly and courteous, always smiling despite being very busy for a regional conference. The room is very spacious overlooking the city as we were given a high floor.
A hotel in huge building but with simple exterior. Hotel Lobby not noble but practical. Upgraded to a huge room by front desk. Its really a bonus and enjoyed very much in such a huge space in the room. Is a good choice to stay if visiting the town area.
I believe Pullman Kuching could have provided at least better hospitality than what my family experienced. I hope this constructive feedback could help Mr. Dennis Seng as hotel manager to review the overall hotel operations and hospitality. 1. When we checked in Dec 23, 2017, the front office lady was a little bit rude. We were trying to understand the conversion rate for the payment since we are not Malaysian. Instead of being helpful, she shook her head to the screen on her right for us to see. 2. One of the 3 rooms that we stayed in had only 1 towel, 1 glass, and other single unit amenities which should not be the case since it was two of us in that room. It took some time for the room service to deliver the amenities. 3. The very next day we were having difficulties with the internet connection. We were trying to seek for help and asked the front office. The response was not what we expected since instead of helping us out, he told us that our phones had some issues. 4. Then we were trying to go to the mall. We were told that the cab would cost us 30 ringgit, we found it was 18 and then we checked uber it's supposed to be 8 ringgit (We checked when the internet was on again). Then, we found that the hotel had shuttle service to the malls which was not informed to us at all. 5. All of the electricity on the 9th floor was off for a couple hours! Unvelievable! And it took sometime for them to turned it back on. 6. We were trying to use the sauna and jacuzzi and we went there 9.30 PM (they closed at 10 PM). We were forbidden to enter since the man who was in charge already turned off the electricity. We confirmed the spa representatives in the afternoon (since the shared same area) about this, including that both were operated seperately and the sauna and jacuzzi open hours were the same like the pool (not the spa which opened at 1PM). We came back in the morning at 10 and no one was around. We were calling the room service and front office several times to send someone helping us out. Mr. Jamahari - which turned to be the manager on duty said that he was about to send someone and changed his statement when he arrived at the area (after our long 30 minutes of waiting half naked and calls back and forth), claimed that it is operated by the spa (and someone locked the main entrance). We were really dissappointed since nobody was being apologetic until I pleaded them to do so. 7. Tourism tax was not something that was informed to us and we found out on the check out date that there is one. It is not much but on the invoice it was written 1 tourism tax item while the other item was written room charges (super confusing). But at least the duty manager help us with airport transfer, after the other receptionist told us that they dont have any airport transfer available. I've been staying in pullman in indonesia and kualalumpur but never experience this kind of experience. We hope they can give better hospitality to other customers.
Amazing! Our room at Pullman Kuching is huge, beautiful, clean, super comfortable. Love the gorgeous, spacious, inviting bathroom. How thoughtful to provide such a lovely, comfy seat for dressing up/down (haha!). You get to choose between relaxing long bath with a view or quick standing shower. We appreciate the stunning panoramic views of the nostalgic Kuching waterfront from the full length expansive picture windows running across a whole wall of our room. Food is great! Super yummy Pullman cakes and pastries are to die for! Breakfast buffet boasts a sheer variety of tempting delicacies, one stomach is not enough... Excellent staff and service! Pullman is truly in a class of its own! Wish we could stay here forever! Terrific! Yvonne Oh
Hotel is clean, room is large, location is great just a few step away from the waterfront and city center. Lunch and dinner at restaurant are reasonable price, kids under 12 y old free of charge. Overall, our family have a great stay and will never look elsewhere to stay when we visit kuching again.
Traveled here for business trip. Buffet breakfast was acceptable with selections of local delicacies. Walking distance to other Kuching attraction spots. Convenience for the kids too. Will come back when there's opportunity.
Very nice hotel and clean. Service is excellent and location as well. Its very near the waterfront (sarawak river). And right behind it theres a place called topspot foodcourt and recommended for the seafood pricing got it is very cheap as well. Overall the pullman is a very good experience! There was a travel agency as well in the hotel to book tours in kuching
Great location, just a short walk to the riverside boardwalk, as well the shopping area ... All the staff were extremely friendly and professional. Has a large clean quiet room with a good view of the city , as well the river.... Lobby area was extreme;y load with the live music in the evening .. need to tone down a bit .... music should complement the ambiance, not over power it ... Otherwise a very pleasant experience.
