Pullman Kuchhing is in a great location. The hotel is relatively new but is starting to show wear and tear. Unfortunately hotel does not live up the normal Pullman standards. Choose the Pullman since I have stayed at other in the past and was unsure of the layout of Kuching. Plus was only visiting Kuching for the Rainforest Music Festival and the pickup is right below Pullman. Plus points: - Rooms are large, all rooms have views, and the windows are nice and large. Since the hotel is perched on top of a small hill, the views are nice. - Bathrooms are massive - Kuching is small you can walk to everywhere around town in max 20-30 minutes Negatives: - Bathrooms need to be serviced - mouldy areas on all the seals - Staff service can be so so depending on the team that is working - Check in and check out was not the best experience - Lift and security cards was a bit funny - Toilets in the lobby are always wet and smelly Unfortunately would not stay here again on my next trip to Kuching. I will try one of the smaller boutique hotels.
I stayed here for two nights. I love my bathroom...it was wide and comfortable. I also like my bedroom and it has beautiful view at night. The staffs were helpful and friendly. The hotel provided many variety of breakfast menu. The huge lobby will welcome you and it was nice to be there.
I wasn't expecting much as my last stay here was underwhelming. So I was surprised at check-in that everything was prepared and presented in a package much like the Accor Korea did. There a proper menu for welcome drinks and they are good. In the room, a complementary fruit basket is waiting as well a welcome letter. The staffs are awesome too. Hardware wise, everything is in place expect for the faulty bath tub and the view from higher floors are juz magnificent. Breakfast was great. Initially felt forced to stay here since I'm an Accor elite, but left looking forward to my next stay. Well done
A very well located hotel only a short distance from the waterfront, shops and restaurants. Front desk staff were efficient, friendly and very helpful. The lobby was huge and spectacular. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and very well appointed offering spectacular views of Kuching. Dining room staff were efficient, and eager to assist with the menu selection. The buffet with daily international themes offered a variety of food, all fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. Drinks at the bar were reasonably priced and 'happy hour' was extended to accommodate guests. The tour desk attached to the hotel was efficient and very helpful. No matter what time of day you entered the lobby you always found someone with a welcoming smile ready to assist. The doormen were well trained and always negotiated a fair price with unmetered taxis. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel in Kuching.
Neat hotel room, we booked the executive suite (not sure of the room name) and we had a specified floor for breakfast and also complimentary access to Executive Lounge on 22nd floor. Since we are muslims we were provided with prayer mats which I thought was very considering. The bedroom was very spacious, so was the living area. The hotel made our stay more and more perfect. Our room was situated right next to the elevator, we also had a beautiful view to Kuching. Note: Our stay was from December 25, 2014, till December 28, 2014.
Stayed here for a total of 4 nights. It was my second visit to the Pullman brand, the first, at Putrajaya, providing me a horrific stay. Despite my initial reservation to this brand, I decided to book this hotel due to its location and five-star ratings. It was our first trip with our little girl who was a wee short of 12 months old, thus, the most important aspect of our accommodation should be family-friendly and comfort. The check-in procedure was fast and smooth. Even though one of our rooms were not ready, we were able to rest in the other room, being assured that the front desk will deliver our keys to the other room when it is ready (our rooms are connected). My daughter LOVES the room. She loves how she is able to see the view from her mere height of 70+cm and she simply loves how comfy the bed is (see picture for evidence!). I could go on about how wonderful this hotel is but you have to experience it to take in all the grandeur and comfort that Pullman Kuching has to offer. This is coming from two hoteliers who nit-pick EVERY hotel that they have stayed in. I would especially like to thank the Front Desk associate, Mr Jamahari (apologies if I get the spelling incorrect) for our smooth check-in and providing the extra mile. He is truly a gem in the world of hoteliers.
Hotel is one of the best hotels I used at Kuching. Room size is amazingly big. The staff is polite and nice. Food is good, especially the morning buffet breakfast with lot of varieties and nice taste. Wi-Fi is good and available at decent speed all the times. The swimming pool is nice but bit cold for me. Room service was slightly slow but food was good which compensated the delay. Washroom was clean but at times didn't get face towels or tooth brushes. Linens were clean and tidy. Only negative I thought was the options for television channels being from India where we have more than 400 TV channels to choose from I had almost no option for my liking. Also a positive point to the location of hotel is it is next to mall so you can spend your leisure time there as well.
As ever, Pullman is a good choice. Everything is good for the breakfast and the price are not so bad for the in room dining. The pool is good but stay a "business hotel" pool. As I said, if you stay for a couple of days in Kuching, it worth the price.
Stayed here for 3 nights. It was my 1st time staying in pullman kuching. Check in was fast and i was surprised i was upgraded to a deluxe room. Well, thats the perk of being an accor member. The staffs were professional and nice. Warm smile and well trained. My room was huge especially the awesome bathroom with a connected walk-in closet. However there are no sockets next to the bed so you cant charge your handphones next to you. The bed was really comfy with crisp linen however it wasnt changed daily during my 3 night stay and perhaps its about that planet21 thingy that pullman endorsed. But it would be better if they changed the linen everyday for hygiene purposes. My pillow sheets smelled like an ashtray after nights of partying. Ive also noticed the inconsistency of the housekeepers. During my 2nd & 3rd day, they only provided me with only 1 face towel and 1 hand towel instead of 2. And the funny thing about this hotel that they didnt provide me toothbrushes and shaving kit like other pullman. Yeah i dont mind not getting a CO Bigelow amenities, but toothbrush and shaver? These kind of tiny details are what a 5 star hotel shouldnt neglect. The breakfast spread was very good too. Lotsa choices. And there were dim sums too. Yummy. Had a great time staying here but i wouldve rated it higher if it wasnt for some hicups along the way. I would definitely will be staying here again soon and hoping that they will improved their services.
We were in Kuching for a wedding and booked in a large group to stay for 3 nights. We ended up extending our stay for 6 nights. Amazing lobby service and staff, great amenities especially the pool and jacuzzi. The room was comfortable and clean and the location was perfect for getting around the city. The hotel staff even offered us a free lift when our Uber cancelled. The service for drinks is a little slow but Kuching is not really big on drinking so it was understandable. Would certainly stay again!
