It's a 4-star hotel with potentials. Easily accesible old town/castle on foot or by public transportation and quite low cost taxi fares. Next to the congress hall, facing a highway. Rooms are spacious and there are only some details to be fixed as the ventilatory system of the bathroom which leaves a sense of humidity if its door left closed, as well as the bathroom curtain which was damaged at some points. Amenities, linen and mattress are of high quality. Complimentary free wi-fi and tea/coffe pot in room. The staff is gentle and willing to help. The breakfast is excellent and the big surprise of the hotel comes from its lobby, where there is a 24/7 small and elegant shop with liquer, food, water and small gifts at very affordable prices, not the exaggerated prices usually found in other high standard hotels. There is also a spacious lobby bar and screens for sports monitoring with a quite good variety of vodkas list (try the local Chopin) at excellent prices.
Nice new hotel at the outskirts of the city centre near the river. This new location is a modern hotel but its a good 20-30 minutes walk form the main sights. It is function but 'cold'. Its practical but lacks character and the staff are 'just doing their job' but don't got an extra mile.
Can't say enough about this great hotel . From the moment we checked in and received a really warm welcome. Every staff member we came across gave us a warm and friendly greeting . Reception staff were always helpful with any question or request we had . Restaurant staff friendly, attentive and efficient. It's a 20 minute stroll to Old Town or around £4 in a taxi . We would return to this hotel if we visit Krakow again.
This is a modern well appointed hotel within walking distance to Wawel Castle, old town square and the former Jewish area of the city. 15min to castle Each room has free wifi. Rooms are clean and very tidy. My room came with a bath tub, but for future refernce you can get a walk in shower - would have preferred that. Everyone at the reception desk was very helpful. Maid service was excellent. The rooms are a nice size and well appointed. The breakfast buffet is good. There is every thing one might want including an omelette bar, fresh french toast and pancakes. It also includes a wide array of fresh baked breads and fresh fruit. I preferred the Waffle maker, make your own waffles..great start to the day! For a business stay in Krakow, I highly recommend this hotel. For a 4 star hotel, it provides 5 star service. If and when I return to Krakow I will stay here again.
A group of us stayed for 4 nights in the Hilton Garden Inn Krakow. The hotel has everything you need, great bar area and small outside area to enjoy a few drinks. Rooms are very clean, comfortable and spacious, bathrooms are of a high standard too. Staff are very friendly and can't do enough to help. The hotel is situated about a 10-15 minute walk from the centre, but that want a problem to us as enjoyed a walk. Krakow is a great place to visit.
The hotel itself is very nice, nicely decorated and very clean. There were alot of young groups staying in the hotel and the Friday was very noisy. The room above us was having a party, full volume music and singing at all hours. Maybe it's a misconception of mine that the Hilton would be occupied by a more settled traveller rather than hens and stag and other young groups. Reception did sort the noise out so that was fine. On 2 nights of our stay the hotel bar was closed for private functions. As me and my partner are in the bar industry we always like to see other bars ideas etc. When we looked around the door of the bar just to get a glimpse of decor etc my partner was met by a large man with a radio who said " closed for private party" we said that's fine, the he said in a raised voice "go now go now!" . Now we are far from snobs but we do like our comfort and nice hotels but I certainly do mot expect to come to a 4 star hilton hotel and be spoken to like that. Leaves me with uncertainty of if I would return to this hotel or not. Location of the hotel is ok. Can take a nice walk along the river. A taxi to Rynek Glowny (old town market square) will cost around 20 zloty (approx £4 sterling). A taxi to Bordata shopping centre which is well worth a visit will cost around 25 Zloty.
This is a modern well appointed hotel within walking distance to Wawel Castle, old town square and the former Jewish area of the city. It is also just a block away from the tram lines. Each room has free wifi. Everyone at the reception desk was personable and helpful. They were eager to give directions and make restaurant reservations. Maid service was excellent. The rooms are a nice size and well appointed. The breakfast buffet is exceptional. There is every thing one might want including an omelette bar, fresh french toast and pacakes. It also includes a wide array of fresh baked breads and fresh fruit. For a stay in Krakow, I highly recommend this hotel. For a 4 star hotel, it provides 5 star service. it has a good location..with a 20 mins walk to centre of town 10 mins to castle and 2 mins to bus station.. easy to book local sightseeing trips and taxis//its close to the river to book trips.etc. the meals were good value and cooked to perfection, with a good variety of meals
This was a very lovely, comfortable Hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The bathroom had a shower and was beautifully finished. Breakfast, there was a huge selection of hot and cold foods, excellent choice. 15 minutes walk to The Castle. Krakow is a lovely, clean, friendly place, you must visit. DD.
This being our first trip Krakow we were a little Unsure of the best place to go, places to eat etc. The staff were more than happy to help with all out questions. Upon unpacking we soon realised we had forgotten the UK to European plug adapters, the hotel staff got us the taxi to take us to the shopping centre to buy new ones. The room was lovely with fantastic a/c which was definitely needed during our stay. Rooms were clean, tidy and room service fantastic thanks. Breakfast was amazing with something for all tastes and very plentiful. There was always someone to approach should you require assistance or a general question. As our flight home was in the afternoon there was a designated place for our suitcases and facilities to change before leaving. Upon arriving home I was saddened to learn I had forgotten to empty all the drawers which included expensive jewellery and personal belongings in a panic I contacted the hotel manager whom was able to list every item we had left behind with the promise to get our items shipped back to our home address. We will be extremely grateful for all their help they have given us.
