Fantastic hotel in a great location - Podgorze area, amazing views across the River Vistula to the city from the room. Very comfortable room - huge bed! Comfortable and warm with no problem adjusting temperature to suit. Staff excellent, helpful, friendly, couldn't do enough for us. Were happy to provide extra/different pillows. Breakfast to die for, you could eat as much as you like to stoke up for the whole day if necessary from a spectacular choice. Value for money coming from the UK was incredible for what is on offer. Nice swimming pool plus sauna & steam room etc as well as a gym (if you felt like moving at all after breakfast). It's a bit of a trek to get to the main square but perfect for dining or sightseeing in the Kascimierz (the Jewish quarter) and absolutely ideal for visiting the Mocak contemporary art museum (will do a separate review for this and plenty of other stuff). We loved it.
The Hotel is a great location to see most of the sight and tours in this beautiful city. I can’t express enough kind words to the helpful staff they were so accommodating to our needs and did not grow tired of things tjwybhear from foreigners. The hotel is very clean the rooms were nice and the restaurant had the very best breakfast.
We had a good feeling about this hotel on arrival but sadly this left us fairly early on! The rooms were good enough however the beds were about the size of a Mars Bar which meant nearly falling out several times during the night. Breakfast whilst appetising enough was like a rugby scrum which the staff stood and watched happening without at any point offering to find tables for people or replenishing low stocks. We came back at 8.30pm after our day out to find our room had not been cleaned. When we complained this was done in a slapdash half hearted manner. On our last night we returned to find that whilst our beds had been made there was still the coffee stain on the bedside table. This is a four star hotel and basic cleaning should be a given, ours I’m afraid was lacklustre at best. Given that we complained twice you would have thought that on departure someone might have followed up with us - sadly not. Not good at all I’m afraid. Plenty hotels nearer town I’d suggest you try those.
We stayed here for 4 nights and were impressed. Its modern, very clean and tidy and we liked the location, next to the river. Its about 25 minutes walk to the main square in the city centre but its handy for the Jewish quarter, which is 5 minutes away, over the bridge where there are plenty of restaurants. We had to order extra pillows - but do in most hotels we stay at! The breakfast buffet was very good and there is decent little gym, sauna and steam room on the 6th floor which were good. The price was good too - we could have stayed nearer the city centre but the hotels are a bit more expensive. Schindler's Museum is less than 10 minutes walk away and there is a tram and train station very close by.
Great hotel perfect location 20min walk from the main square. Swimming pool and jacuzzi were great very nice way to relax after a day of exploring in the city. We ate at the bar one night food wasn't great but it was convenient. We had a problem with our room on our second night stay creaking noises coming from the ceiling so we had to change room Apart from that we had a great stay. Will visit again someday and recommend to friends.
Had a short break to see Kraków and the Christmas markets. The hotel is very close to the old town square and shops. The tram stop is 2 minutes away and you are in town within 10 minutes. Everyone was friendly and the breakfast was amazing with continental meats and cheeses, cereals. Fully cooked also available not to mention the fresh fruit and yogurt. If you fancied a waffle you could spoil yourself. Rooms were clean and adequate with safe and mini bar. TV could have had more English channels but you don't go there to sit and watch TV. Reception friendly and helpful. Will certainly go back to Qubus Hotel
Great location for exploring Krakov. Lovely setting overlooking the river. Very helpful, friendly staff. Had a 3 night stay there with my daughter. My room was lovely, spotless, modern and with a lovely view. My daughter for some reason was given a disabled room on the 1st floor which was also spotless but the addition of all the disability equipment, alarms etc gave it a very old feel. also there was no mini bar. As it was only a short stay we didn't ask for a change. the hotel appeared full so doubtful if anything else was available. We made use of the pool and sauna which was great after a busy day sightseeing. Breakfast was great, lots of variety and freshly cooked. Wonderful scrambled egg with smoked salmon.Would definitely return but specify the room type.
Myself & my husband spent 7nights from 28th November to 5th December 2017 in this business hotel. We booked through booking.com and the rate for the 7nights was very reasonable. A lot of people prefer to be closer to the square and if that’s you then this hotel is not for you, my husband and I like to walk and this hotel is just across the bridge, 25min walk to the town square - less than 10mins to the Jewish quarter - approx 7mins from Schindler’s factory and the same to the shopping complex Galeria Krakowska. So for me this was the ideal place to stay. The hotel is beautiful and well kept. We made good use of the swimming pool, sauna, steam room & jacuzzi which are situated on the 7th floor over looking the city, made prefect by the snow falling outside this was an amazing place to be. The train station is a 10min walk from the hotel which if we had discovered sooner we would have used. The tram stop is less than a 5min walk from hotel beside Hero square and a tram ride to town costs approx 60p and is 4 stops from where you get on. We didn’t eat in the hotel as we found the prices quite expensive compared to the local bars and restaurants within short walking distance. I like a simple breakfast and the hotel did offer a comprehensive selection for breakfast but I am a coffee and toast person so we found Bagelmama a great breakfast spot just roughly 5min walk from the hotel for great priced bagel & coffee. All in all I could not fault the hotel and would definitely book again when returning to Kraków.
We booked this property through Booking.com for a good price. It is a business hotel and as such is not your typical holiday hotel. It is equipped with a gym, pool, steam room, sauna, and jacuzzi which overlooks the city. They provide towels, footwear and shower caps as well as complimentary shower gels. We used these facilities almost daily. Only drawback is lack of changing room space. The hotel organised a taxi to collect us from the airport at (90PLN, or £23 approx). We used an Uber to return to the airport at 56PLN or £13 approx. The room was immaculate, we booked the 7th floor and had a fantastic view of the river and the city. Rooms equipped with mini-bar, safe, Iron & board, complimentary bottled water, tea/coffee and kettle. There are also complimentary essentials I.e. razor, toothbrush, shoe polish etc. We found the hotel more expensive for food and drink than the local bars and restaurants. So we didn’t eat or drink in the hotel so cannot comment on the quality of the food. Staff were friendly and helpful, they provided us with local maps, tips, directions etc. The location is about 10 minutes walk from the main shopping centre (Galeria Kazimierz), and 10 minutes walk from the main Jewish quarter/Kazimierz district and Schindler’s factory. It is about 30-35 minutes walk to the main town centre (Stare Miasto). There are trams which are convenient and close by (5 minutes), and cheap (approx £0.70) per journey which take you into the main centre. Taxis are also plentiful and quick. The train station is a 5-10 minutes walk away. Overall we had a great 7 night stay and would return.
We stayed four nights in this hotel, whilst visiting the Christmas market. Hotel is warm, clean, spacious and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was first class and evening meal was excellent. There was a pianist Monday night who was very talented (but solemn), in the restaurant. Staff in restaurant were lovely, especially Paulina who always had a cheery word for guests. We intended eating out in the evening but the menu in hotel was good and not too expensive so we ate in. Rooms were very warm, the underfloor in the bathroom was great for drying out damp gloves and scarves! Double bed had two single quilts on it which was a bit strange but ok and the pillows were tiny. I am sure more would have been put in if we had asked but we were happy. There was only shampoo and shower gel in the room. Tea or coffee making facilities in the room and a couple of bottles of water were supplied. Lovely views of the city from the glass elevator. If you get a choice ask for a view of the river. Situated on river Wista and about 15/20 minute walk to Market Square, though plenty of trams. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and shall certainly return.
