We stayed at Zeavola from 10-14 November in a Garden villa on a hill which was divine. Being at one with nature in this beautifully designed resort was relaxing and peaceful. The villa was big, luxurious yet simple with elegant pieces of furniture and has everything that you need. Walking around everywhere in bare feet was liberating. The beach is stunning, staff were excellent and it was so carefree and easy. Very special place, you’re immersed in nature and there’s not many hotels like this in the world. We will return. Frankie & Isobel. P.s. there’s a cute little all black cat/kitten who’s so friendly & adorable, please look out for her and look after her.
My husband and I stayed at Zeavola for a week. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the chance to be barefoot at all times. Our room was lovely, even though, being immersed in the nature of course you will find insects from time to time. Both the room and the other areas were very clean, and the staff was very kind. Some of them did have poor English, so communication was sometimes difficult. The restaurant was nice, we enjoyed dining on the beach under the stars. On some evenings, there was a theme buffet (Asian, Grill buffet for instance). We loved the Asian, and the Seafood by gram buffet. The grill buffet could be improved (when we arrived, 8 pm, almost all fish was gone), meaning that the guests should be able to choose what they would like to be grilled. Do not miss the spa treatments and the diving center, they were great. The only negative point, minor, but still negative was the funny check-in: nobody explained anything about the resort, we were taken straight away to our room. I’ve never experienced that in any other hotel or resort. Overall we had a great week!
We spent there the first 3 days of our honeymoon and it was absolutely great, not because of the paradise jungle beach, but because of the people who works there and the extraordinary service. Hope to be there again anytime soon.
We stayed at the pool vila (approximately 500 per night). I found the place overpriced and service was average. An example of average service is that they cleaned the room but left the dishes from the evening meal. You pay for an 'exclusive pool villa' but have passersby constantly walking by.Forget any privacy! Too expensive for what they offer...
Our stay at the Zeavola was amazing from start to finish. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to welcome you and make your stay the best. On arrival we were met with a cold towel and cold drink after a long flight. They also took our photo which we assumed was for their website, however the next morning they delivered the photo to us in our bedroom in a lovely souviner frame, it was a very nice touch! The food at breakfast was great, plentiful choice and all freshly prepared. We used the resort excursion to travel to nearby Maya Bay (the location of the popular leonardo dicaprio film "The Beach"... this is a must see!!) The hotel is very secluded so was ideal for our 3 night stay, just enough time to relax and enjoy the perfect views but not too long as I feel it may be a bit boring as very limited things to do as the hotel is so secluded. This resort is a must see and a must stay!! The staff come round every night and turn down your mosquito net around the bed and also fumigate with insect repellent, was very helpful and a nice touch. Overall i highly recommend staying here! Pure luxury and relaxation.
I was only here for a couple of nights but I wish I had stayed longer. While I mostly saw couples, I actually went here solo and never felt out of place. The resort is all about "simplistic" luxury which I really enjoyed. I literally checked in and left my shoes at the reception and didn't need them until I checked out. Every pathway you take is soft and sandy and when you reach your suite, there's a bucket of water for you to rinse the sand off before entering. I also did the Maya Adventure excursion which was loads of fun. Thankfully they take you out early to beat the crowds. But to be honest, what initially captured my attention in the first place is how sustainable it is. When I travel, I try to research and stay in places that make an obvious effort to take care of the environment and this one does just that, which I really appreciate :) THAT, my friends, is what really makes this resort different from the rest and I'd come back and visit any day for that very reason.
We visted Zeavola Resort in October 2017, What a beautiful place and such an awesome experience. The resort is absolutely stunning, georgeous layout, and the service is beyond excellent. The staff and so helpful and friendly, food was delicious, everything was beyond excellent. Special thanks to "Lion" who was supper helpful and friendly, allowed us to make use of his kitchen to prepare our home cooked dish :) Also-the beach it self, wow - that is like paradise. Thanks Zeavola staff for making us feel like we are family.
We stayed here for 5 nights in October and it was lovely! We had arranged a longtail boat from the resort which picked us up at Tonsai pier and it takes around 40 mins from there to reach the resort. We had a garden room which was lovely, it had both an indoor and outdoor shower, a four poster bed and a big outdoor area which we couldn't enjoy much due to the mosquitos and huge centipedes which would be lingering around! However the resort fumigates 3 times a week to get rid of the mozzies which helps however take lots of repellent with you as you will need it. On one of the nights an animal had entered our room and I could hear it running around the room (yes it totally freaked me out!). I called reception straight away as I couldn't see what it was, they came to our room straight away at 2.30am and tried to look for it. They didn't find it but said it must be a field mouse and left a trap for it. They offered to shift us to another room that night to sleep in and said we could move back in the morning. It was nice to be given the option. We decided to stay in the room as we couldn't hear it anymore and we didn't hear from it again, luckily :-0 The beach is lovely which meant we never relaxed by the pool (which we usually do). The turquoise water and calm sea is lovely to swim in. The bean bags on the deck chairs are so comfy that you can spend all day out there. The food was also lovely and being a vegetarian I had no problems, they have a vegetarian menu available so just ask for it and it has plenty of yummy options. Overall I would definitely go back to Zeavola again as the staff are really attentive and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble to ask and everyone was very friendly.
Zeavola Resort is located in the north part of Phi Phi Don and you have to take a long tail boat or a ferry from the "city" (Tonsai Pier) to get there. Locals will charge you 800 Baht per boat. Zeavola charge you 1100 Baht. Ferry sails twice a day and costs 200 baht. It would be great if the hotel provided the guests one complimentary trip to the city per day or per visit. My wife and I stayed in the Villa number 8 with jungle view. The cottage is very spacious and has 2 different areas. The room, with a big double bed, a couch, cable tv, with glass walls, so you can have a nice view even from bed. And the balcony, where you have mattress to relax, couches, fridge, sink, mirror, bathroom, internal and external showers, etc.. The villas are very comfortable and if you take the ones numbered from 1 to 10 you will have much more privacy as they are on the cliff. Not very suitable for those who don´t like stairs though. The hotel has a swimming pool with 14 chairs only.... and they also have the chairs on the beach. BTW, the beach is paradise on Earth. Very calm, warm water, beautiful landscape and just perfect for those who are looking for a relaxing and silent vacation. Breakfast has several options and certainly will suit all different tastes. Personally I enjoyed the carrot juice, the brownie and the egg Benedict (even though it´s different than the original) Staff was very helpful and charismatic despite the poor English from some of them. But it´s a problem you face in the entire country.
We stayed at the Zeavola for 9 nights in November 2016. We had a Garden Suite on the hill, so many stairs (± 45) to climb up and down every day, very good to make some sports during the holyday! We knew that the hotel was situated in the middle of luxuriant vegetation but we did not imagine that the terrace and our room would be that dark. That’s a little surprising when you arrive but you get used to it. If you want to relax in the sun you have to go to the beach or to the pool area. So that’s what we did and our stay was very nice. The good point about our villa was also that it was situated on the hill, at the end of the row so we had privacy. That was not the case for all the villas that were situated on the sand. We had the half board formula and enjoyed it a lot. Indeed, there was no fixed menu but we could choose anything we liked on the menu (either Thai cuisine or international dishes). We tasted quite a lot of things and it was good, although it was sometimes not very hot. The dive centre was very good, the staff very friendly and competent. The restaurants’ staff was also always very nice and friendly but most of them did not understand or speak English well enough. They always smiled, even when they did not understand or when you made reproaches. That would be the only point to improve at the Zeavola!
