Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort

This was our first time visiting Koh Phi Phi and I'm so glad that we picked this resort. It was absolutely beautiful and the attention to detail was flawless. We decided to upgrade our room to a Junior Beachfront and sooooo glad we did. The room is amazing and the view of the sunrise each morning is even better. Here is what you need to know: 1) This resort is its own compound and pretty far from the main center. So it's pretty challenging getting to the night market or where all the action is happening. 2) There is a little mini-village right next door that took us a minute to discover. If you're looking for GOOD Thai food that's cheap, you'll find it there. 3) The standard hotel food is quite "Americanized" - wish there would have been more Thai options. See point #2 4) The beach front is likely one of the best on Phi Phi. Shallow, warm water that's great for shell hunting in the morning at low tide and swimming at high-tide. However, not much snokling opportunities right off the beach. 5) Amenities. They've got it all. You'll want for nothing. 6) Staff. Overall super friendly and easy to communicate with. Hope this helps.

Didn't want to leave this gem of a hotel! Peaceful and quiet, but a nice distance (walking or hiking) to Tonsai Village and viewpoint. Highly recommend!!

Very well run resort by very nice people who make your stay very comfortable! From the moment they meet you at the airport they take care of everything, when you were as far from home as we were this is a very good feeling. The resort is very well run and the staff will help you with any questions you might have. A very organized operation!

Indeed.., a very nice place shame that it is very noisy ( day and night ) because of these many Thai motor-boats in the immediate vicinity. These boats virtually surrounds this place with the noise of their engines. Day and night you ll get no peace !

Stayed here for my 20th birthday. Rooms, beach, pools and resort in general was beautiful and well kept. Great staff and service(decorated my room on my bday without instruction). This resort is NOT all inclusive and definitely pricy. All amenities and food on resort are very expensive. The only way to acces this resort is by boat, so if you plan to leave this enclosed resort to do activities in phi phi town remember you will need to board a long boat for a 30 minute ride anytime you wish to leave the resort and enter town. Sadly I must also report that something (either breakfast or dinner) at this resort gave me 24 hour food poisoning. Luckily I had medication and 2 friends to nurse me back to health but it basically ruined my birthday and vacation. If I hadn't gotten sick this would have been an amazing stay.

Staff are very caring and kind and helpful eveything in place for your comfort

I love the pool at this hotel!! Not the front pool but the pool in the back!!!! I stay at this hotel and spend six hours in the pool!!! Food is great!! Staff is great and I am PICKY!!!!Hate the city but love the hotel!!!!!!!!

Everything at the hotel is great. Use the back village for most eating and tours. It is very remote and getting there cost 1000 bht.

Positve: The hotel location location location. There is good service, nice staff, personal shuttel, night live, sttraction, on the sea, most beatuful view, a lot of shops and resturent, best breakfest ever with a lot of sections with the best quality, great swimming pool with massage, spa and bar on the water. Negative: worest toilet and bathroom. 2 stars hotel have better showers, not all of the room was clean, check in and check out take a lot of time, resturent with very hight price and not with the best food, 25 mintues longtail boat from the ko phi phi ferry that is more tan 2 hours from phuket with horrible service and worest caption I ever saw. It's look like we are going to have an accident, not a lot of electronic plugs, no view from the room itself, every little change will cost you a lot of money without any proportion. The sea is not suitable for swiming and very strong flow. Bottom line: great place but need to get better and lower the prices.

We loved the place, the staff is the best, the beach is amazing.... everything is just perfect :)

Will definitely return in the future. The private beach and waters were absolutely beautiful. Some of the best I've ever seen. The staff were very polite. The rooms could be a bit better cleaned. But hey, it's the beach so no worries. The check out is a bit of a headache since everyone tries to check out and catch a boat at the same time but otherwise everything was great.

From day one, this "resort" was filled with hidden and misleading charges, rude and unaccomodating staff, problems with food, and an overall terrible value. We are on a lengthy holiday and stayed at hostels better than this. Some highlights: * convinced to buy the extraordinarily priced breakfast after being told they would make vegetarian options. They didn't. * found a cooked (large) bug in the pasta. Told staff and they still insisted we pay. * food poisoning from the food! * being overcharged on food * Lizard in the room * staff with apparently no knowledge of English (yes we are in Thailand, but it's a Western resort...) * arriving at the island and seeing a sign for "Outrigger," which is the only way to get there. Only once you are on the boat are you informed Outrigger will charge your room (mandatory charge) for this "provided transport." The list goes on. Don't stay here. If you do, check out the authentic village in the back. Outrigger deliberately hides this from guests. We hear this might be under new management, and I suspect this is why the quality is so much lower than past reviews.

Great relaxing + fun time at my honeymoon = beautiful.

one of best parts of my thailand trip. great secluded hotel with personal bungalow. nice beach and pool. consider outside street for much cheaper restaurants, massages, and tours by locals. rented 1/2 day longtail boat for 1400 baht to go island hopping.

If you are looking for a resort on a private beach, this is the place to be. They have everything you need a nice pool, beach access, restaurants and bars, including buy one get one free happy hour @ the Coconut Bar & Grill and a buffet on the beach. We were traveling in a group of 4 so obviously the place was a bit too romantic for us but a perfect place to relax, lay out, swim and enjoy paradise. If you do plan on traveling around Phi Phi it is a little bit of an adventure, 1800 THB roundtrip to Tonsai Village and about a 30 min long tail ride. We did this one night and had to walk a good 20 -30 feet in the water to the boat. On the way back, the waves were too high and we got dropped off to, at the time, the middle of nowhere, as it was dark and we had no idea where we were going. It was like walking through the jungle but it was a cool adventure. Had we not done this however, we never would have discovered the cute little village behind the resort where we had lunch the next day. The food was authentic and absolutely delicious and a little cheaper than the resort. The resort has a fabulous breakfast buffet and free oranges in the lobby available at all times. However, if you are looking to be where the action is on Phi Phi Island then you should not stay here!
