Nice hotel if you need to stay in the city for an affordable price
When we asked to get another set of towels at front desk as there were two of us ... it never happened. There were only two very small bottles of drinking water in the room ... so we asked for another one and it never came. There was no hot water to take a warm shower. We have stayed at this hotel several times and these problems did not happen at that time ... so a training improvement is needed.
I stayed here with friends as the last stop on a 3-city vacation in tanzania. The rooms/bathrooms were small but sleek, well appointed and a great deal for the price ($105/double booked a month in advance, $153/double booked a day in advance). It had the chic but nondescript vibe typical of american business hotels. Only issue is that there was a leak from the shower area onto the floor. The rooftop bar was attractive and drew large crowds of local folks which was nice to experience. Super convenient location to banks, shopping, landmarks, the pier where the ferry form zanzibar comes in, etc. The staff was pleasant and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
