If your stay begins with location this place is it. Situated one street from the Elora Mill and all it has to offer, your stay will be convenient and carefree. Enjoy your morning coffee, sitting in your building`s garden with an unrestricted view of the Grand River, the Elora Mill and Mill St. A simple crossing of the street and you will be standing on the steel covered bridge looking down at the Grand river and its Tooth of time. You are now only a few footsteps away from all that is, Elora.

From the front of your building you will find yourself looking at the historic armory, now a very convenient liquor store if you so wish to indulge. Our Gingerbread House host the Sugar Skulls Ice Cream Speaking of which is part of a totally renovated two bedroom apartment with its century old accent walls. You will find each room is carefully designed for comfort. Even the family room has a sofa bed for extra guests. The renovated bathroom has a modern clean look . come stay at our Gingerbread house where your biggest regret will be not staying long enough.
All around the building there are bistro tables and chairs ,they are yours also to use and share. There is a laundry room on the other side of your mud room

The historical charm and natural beauty of Elora makes this area a must see. From the Gorge and the Grand river to the quarry where bathers gather. Elora also has biking and walking trails with stunning views. Afterwards you may want to visit all the interesting shops or dine at one of Elora` many restaurants.

Everything was within walking distance. Lots of restaurants, unique shops, Halloween decor, LCBO & more. Our large dog was welcome and there was an area for her needs. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, every room had a TV. We were pleased with our stay.

This is a beautiful property and an excellent apartment. It had absolutely everything we needed.It is incredibly spacious and comfortable, we couldn’t believe the size of this space. It is only one block from downtown in a beautiful picturesque setting. Communication with John was prompt and so easy, clear concise instructions on everything.I would definitely go back to this place and I highly recommend it.

Great clean property very close to “downtown” Elora. Parking may seem to be an issue but there is free public parking across the street next to lcbo. As an additional bonus it is a very cool liquor store.

The host was very welcoming and gave clear, easy to understand instructions on how to access the unit. The location is excellent for exploring Elora. The apartment was very similar to the photos and clean. We only used the one bedroom with the king bed during our stay and it was very comfortable. You could hear the unit upstairs if they were walking around or talking loudly. The curtains were not blackout in the bedroom so it was very light early in the morning. There was also a small light on the outlet in the bedroom that wouldnt turn off and therefore it was like sleeping with a night light on. Very much appreciated that the unit was pet friendly and we could bring our dogs with us.

Family wedding

We stayed at the gingerbread house for a family wedding. John was super nice and flexible with our check in time which was greatly appreciated as it allowed us to get ready for a formal wedding and still have a bit of time to unwind after our drive. The home was charming, quaint, very comfortable, and we would definitely stay there again.

First time using a property for a stay that wasn't a hotel. Very pleased with the experience! Unit was very clean and welcoming.
