After reviewing the poster photo's apparently we were in a reno'd room. Room was dirty, bedding was dirty, carpet was covered in burn marks. Fridge and air conditioner not had large ares with melted plastic indicating extensive drug use. Furniture was old and broken with haphazard repairs. Hotel seemed to have many guests who were permanent residents. We had someone show up at the door selling drugs. Clean, safe hotels available for 5 dollars more a night.
The room was spacious and with good facilities although a kettle would have been good. Not the cleanest room, needs some attention to detail for example removal of cushions on chairs and cleaning. Overall good value. Breakfast consists of coffee and a muffin, very basic.
The Hotel staff refused to give me a copy of my bill. They said because I paid by credit card that I should contact my bank for the bill amount. Terrible Customer Service.. Tried to contact their parent company WHG & they refused to do anything & told my to take it up with the Hotel.
First choice for accommodation. Visiting for business. Room was newly renovated, warm and comfortable. Manager was accommodating and helpful. I wont hesitate to stay here again. Very nice deep soaker tub. Fridge. Only missed a microwave for snacks. Quiet, slept well.
The Knights in is undoubtedly an inexpensive choice for accommodation. You get what you pay for in some sense as the motel style inn is not impressive. It has been renovate recently, it seems, the bathrooms in particular are quite nice with Jacuzzi-style tubs. The heating system, in my room anyway, was inadequate and very noisy. There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the room and the furniture was tired, The bed was comfortable, however. The staff were quite friendly an the service was good, in terms of making up the room. Seems to be popular with people working in Kingston on contract and residing for longer periods. Within reasonable walking distance of fast food and the Kingston Centre shopping.
great location close by the kingston center and restaurants, helpful staff when our other hotel had been over booked, comfortable beds and air conditioning a definite bonus, good price for our rooms would stay there again
The owners were very nice people, they treated us nicely and were always there whenever we needed them. Rooms are beautifully renovated, beds were extremely comfortable, the jacuzzi was sweeeeet! Extremely affordable, travel a lot to Kingston in and out, and will be choosing this place every time.
We arrived at midnight, after traveling by car for hours. The first indication that this stay was going to be less than satisfactory was when the clerk asked if the room that I reserved was truly the room that I wanted. He questioned whether three people needed two queen-size beds. Tired and exasperated, I calmly replied that, yes, that was the reservation specification for which I paid. After several minutes speaking with someone else on the phone, the clerk led me to a room at the front of the property. The second indication that our stay would be less than satisfactory was when following behind the attendant, his trajectory took us directly past a group of three young men who were smoking cannabis outside of their room. The boys made no effort to move and the clerk made no effort to secure a passage for a new client, me. The third indication that our stay would not be satisfactory, was upon surveying the room accommodation, a number of things stood out: -Bathroom was not clean. Towels, washcloths, and hand towels were covered in hair. The walls showed obvious areas that were soiled. The shower handle was rigged with plastic bags. -The microwave had an extremely pungent odor of curry. -The nightstand drawer with the Yellow Pages was filthy. The YP was warped from fluid and staining. There was so much debris. Needless to say, I would never stay at this establishment again. I would rather sleep in my car.
Great comfy beds, very clean and an entertaining host. I noticed many improvements. If you want what you pay for this is it! Great, central location. It aint the Ritz, but the Ritz aint 99$ a night either. Good job
I made the mistake of using Hotwire to book a hotel in Kingston for one night. Upon arrival I did an inspection of the mattress and bed and immediately found bed bugs!! The gentleman at the office was polite and would have given me my money back, but could not because I had booked in on Hotwire. I was already late for the event I was going to and was not able to contact Hotwire. I was so disturbed by the situation that I stayed with a friend. When I called Hotwire the next day they said they couldn't refund my money! Never stay at this motel and never use Hotwire!! I should have known better...
