Most of the staff were very pleasant and helpful to deal with, though we did regularly encounter one desk agent who went out of her way to be unhelpful with each request (ie, denying a request for softer pillows even though the housekeeping staff was more than happy to get them for us). The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the housekeeping staff was fantastic. The hotel breakfast was wonderful, 5 stars, and the hotel bar food also delicious. The breakfast and bar staff were also super kind and helpful. Disappointed with the hotel pool, as it was highly advertised on Orbitz for this location - the pool was part of larger gym facility that was also used by townspeople - not quite the relaxing lounge pool we expected. The hotel was a nice 15 minute walk to the city centre along a safe, sidewalked road. Ample parking as well. Overall, I would recommend this location, but Orbitz should disclose more readily that the pool is more of an exercise facility.
We enjoyed our stay overall. The hotel was a good value for the money. However, we paid the extra money at check-in for the breakfast in the morning. This breakfast was not worth the money at all and the service in the restaurant was terrible. Particularly one older man who came by our table and was not very friendly and asked if we were ready to order and we said we needed a couple more minutes and he proceeded to never come back. Over 20 minutes went by before another restaurant staff member finally noticed we hadn't been helped and took our order. The man who was supposed to take our order never came by to apologize and continued to ignore us. He was however spending all of his time talking to guests at another table and ignoring the rest of the restaurant. So I would save my money if I had to do it again and go get an Irish breakfast that tasted better and had better service at a local Irish Pub instead.
Front desk was exceptional- both ck in and out . parking out front a bit of a challenge- room was nice, be careful entering tub/ slippery n marble counter close by. Get the breakfast awesome. Lounge/bar nice could use a little more care wiping tables/ coasters- very clean and safe though- 7€ taxi ride into town or 15 min walk - would def stay again
Was a very nice hotel located within walking distance of the city center and was amazingly not expensive.
The photos you see online must of been from when they re-did the hotel 8 years ago. One of the big problems of this place is it's the only place within miles that has a full GYM, pool, workout classes and so. Which means all the locals use it like the YMCA with the purchase of membership or day passes. Very very busy hotel/gym and not much parking for guest so plan on walking and dragging all your bags to the front of the hotel where their isn't any parking to unload your car before parking it.
Nice hotel tucked in a quiet area. Very attractive. Staff very accommodating. Restaurant with great food. Comfy beds!
Great stay other than room way too hot to sleep...
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The spa looked great even though we didn't have time to visit it. A very nice outside patio. It is a short walk to the town center, but fine if the weather is nice
