As we were traveling with our daughter and her friend, it made sense to rent a condo rather than 2 hotel rooms. We knew we would get a large living, a full kitchen with washer/dryer and a patio with gas grill and lawn furniture, as well as all the beach equipment (towels, chairs, boogie boards, umbrella, etc.) we could need to enjoy the beach (a short walk away) and swimming/snorkeling in protected Elua Bay (or the pool, when ocean swells kicked up). What we failed to appreciate was that we'd be escaping the crowded, commercial hotel area to the north and find ourselves instead in a gorgeous, modern condo surrounded by acres of impeccably maintained open greenery and beautiful plantings (orchids, flowering bushes) and birds, with easy access to nearby restaurants, grocery stores and shops. I had carefully read reviews to determine which condo to rent (and which to avoid), and ours was beautiful and in great condition. The only thing I might do differently next time is choose one closer to the beach.
This is our second visit staying at a DRH property. Elua village is pleasantly located on a very pretty snorkelling beach and has lovely amenities such as a waterfront pool and lush gardens. Our appt is well presented, quiet and clean. It’s very helpful to have a good kitchen and bbq. The staff are helpful and welcoming and helped us with an early check in. Apart from a few issues with reservations initially- we would definitely recommend a stay here.
Upon arrival our room was filthy. Sofa cushions were stained, rattan furniture arms and backs were brown with dirt. Wall pictures were moldy, room was worn & dirty. Kitchen utensils and appliances were dirty. Room needed painted, deep cleaned and updated. A/C was inefficient. Room we moved to was sufficient.
We first checked into the Wailea Ekahi Village. Although the condo was very nice, we were not expecting to be so far away from the beach. Beach view was there, but a very long way from the beach. We contacted Destination Resorts Hawaii the following morning and David went to work to find us a better beach location. We then moved to Wailea Elua Village and were beyond pleased! A fabulous condo beach front! It had everything you could need to make your vacation just that, a vacation! Love the location, the condo, and the whole package! David went above and beyond our expections! I cannot tell you how much time and effort he put into finding the right condo for us. Thank you David, you rescued our vacation and we will diffently work with him again when planning our next vacation!
Arrived in Maui for our first time, and stayed 8 nights in Elua in a front beach apartment with its full kitchen , living room and bedroom Fantastic views, on the beach ! Best imposible ! There is a great Market for food just near, it’s called Market Gourmet, part of The Shops, everyday a couple of menus to choose from, great cuisine
Quiet, beautiful and breathtaking. Beach, pool, and ocean walk right out our door. Everything was either walking distance or a short drive. Gated safe community, clean, well maintained grounds unbelievable views!
We stayed in a Ocean front condo that was steps to the beach with good snorkeling, breath taking sunset views. The grounds are all well kept, with 2 pool, the main pool by the ocean, has communal kitchen, BBQ's gym, lounge chairs, covered seating and tables, everything needed to spend the day at the pool or ocean. My vacation property was managed by Destination Residences Hawaii. They were on top of ever request, quickly resolved unit request. Truly they made our stay in Maui much more enjoyable. Maui is paradise. Thank you to all staff, and concierge for booking all our activities.
Condo had good room. Nice beach. Pool was ok. Well stocked kitchen to cook and nearby food lands grocery store. Nice shore walk. Kid friendly. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Grounds well kept.
The view from the window is healed by controlled planting and the sea. The residence with everything was comfortable and wanted to come again. The barbecue grill in Lanai was rare for us,so I made full use of it. The room cleaning was fine and good Best in a calm environment.
We stayed in unit 904 which had an amazing view of the grounds and ocean. It was a very nice condo, fully equipped kitchen, very modern and well kept. They had beach chairs, an umbrella and a large cooler for our use! Our condo was in a great location with a short walk to Ulua Beach and the main pool. Ulua is nice with good sand areas to pitch your umbrella, and has good snorkeling at the north end when calm (early morning is best). The pool was warm, but probably because it was in the 90s every day! The staff was great, overall a wonderful experience.
