The cottage was cozy and comfy. The kitchenette is nice if you choose to keep snacks and goodies in the fridge. Plates and utensils are also provided if you’d like to eat at the spot. The place is secluded from neighbors but has a great central location. Beds are super comfy! Would definitely book again!
Clean rooms, excellent proximity to the beach (just across the street)!! The hosts were very welcoming, adding special touches to make our stay truly meaningful. You can definitely feel the warmth and care that they put into this place. Mahalo!!!
We had an amazing time the people were fabulous, the unit well equipped. the beds are comfortable. it is nice just to be at a very relaxed and reasonable pace. no great big hotels but down the road 2 miles is a great center with great food and stores. Not fancy. just across the street from the beach, in sight of whales everyday... Only during the season though. Great place newly remolded and everything!!
Cottages, very roomy suites, beautiful grounds, across from sweet little sunset beach in Kihei. Very friendly management. Gardens are very pretty, with lit up tables to sit at in the evening. Near very good restaurants.
Came to Maui, moved in and loved it from the first moment. If you expect a quite place for your own with all you need you are at the exact right place. Beautiful surrounding, lemon trees in front of the porch, a perfect beach 20m across the street. Cottage in good condition with a kitchen prepared for nearly everything. It was an amazing stay! Mahalo Valerie!!!
We stayed in one of the suites which are newer than the cottages as we didn't need a kitchen. It is a bargain compared to the resorts and condos. The owner lives upstairs and is very happy to share stories about the history of Kihei. The place has been there since 1971 and the second oldest tourist accommodation there. She was very happy to cut up our pineapple that we bought and we enjoyed sitting down and having coffee with her on our last morning. Our suite was spotless, very nicely decorated with tile everywhere and the beds were very comfy. The back patio was nicely furnished so you could relax outside. Wifi works great as does the a/c. Nona loves gardening and has transformed the entire property into a tropical paradise that is very quiet and just far enough away from the noise of the main business district. Everything was provided including beach towels with the exception of kleenex. There is a small refrigerator that has a freezer with enough space to make ice cubes and you can easily make your morning coffee with the Keurig in the breezeway. There is a coin laundry and a barbeque grill just a few steps away from the suites. The staff was very helpful and friendly. There is no daily housekeeping but you can get fresh linens on request or pay a small fee to have it cleaned.
We were running late to check-in and had no cell phone access on the Hana side, but fortunately Nona Lani had been waiting for us, all ready to go with our late check-in. What a relief after a long day of driving! The location was excellent for us. We are not into big hotels and tourist crowds which take away from the island vibe. This felt more relaxed, which is Kihei in general. Having been to Kauai (too rural), and Oahu and Kona (too busy), this was a perfect balance. The location is right off of a small beach which made for great morning or evening swims, but you're never more than a short drive from the best South Maui beaches either. But again, away from crowds. A short drive to restaurants, and we even walked up to the shave ice and bakery, no problem. We stayed in one of the rooms rather than a cottage and thought that was fine.Nice grounds, well kept up, we'd easily stay there again.
I will keep this brief. We loved our two night stay. Location is convenient to everything. It's private, quiet, and the gardens surrounding the cottages and suites are beautiful. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The price hit the sweet spot for us too.
What can I say, from the extreme kindness from all the staff to the best night sleep on an ultimate bed. Wow, a little like a old Village with the rolling sea across a two lane road. In the morning, we had it to ourselves. Thanks Brad, we appreciate all you did for us . Mahalo
We stayed for a week on our honeymoon. It was one of the more reasonable places to stay and we wanted beachfront and full kitchen to cook, so this was a plus. Easy to find and free parking. Kitchen had all amenities and the bed was pretty comfortable. WiFi was slow but was there. Aircon worked too. Spent very little time in the actual place because there wasn’t a lot to do there and it turned out to be a bit gross. Downsides: there was an ant problem which was not resolved by the management- even after I complained. I was given some Raid but that was it. Decor is VERY old and dated and the bathroom could really do with a remodel- corners and grout all had mold.
