We arrived at 1:00 pm our room was not ready until 4:00 pm. After getting to our room, the air conditioning stayed on the entire stay no matter what the thermostat was set on. There was a light bulb out in the bathroom. The telephone in our room did not work. I saw an empty wine bottle in the hallway for four days. The mixed drinks from the outside bar were expensive and not very good. Overall it's a beautiful resort that seems to be short on staff.

This property is old, broken, dirty and clearly in need of a renovation. The only nice thing that I can say is that the beds were comfortable and the towels were nice. Luckily, the staff was great. They clearly understood our frustrations and were able to make other accommodations for us. The Waldorf Astoria should be ashamed that they were operating a hotel in this condition.

I have stayed in other smaller Hiltons that they have more to offer and half the price, there were a lot of dirty walls and floors, room was clean, bed was not comfortable. Some staff members walked by us and no greetings was so ever. Like we were not their customers. Checked out a night earlier, after they say it (front desk) was ok, have not seen my refund for the last night.

Great location. Rooms were cleaned late in the day. Beach wasn’t raked enough. Resort fee additional charge is wrong.

The location is great. The pool and beach are great. The rooms need refreshing. The couches were stained. The walls had chips. Room did not feel clean and refreshing for the price Also room towels always seem to be behind on availability.

I liked the access to the ocean and pool. The pool attendant was very good. There was a night table lamp that was out and the safe did not work. I had to call twice to get it fixed.

The hotel was within walking distance to places to eat and the local bus.

This resort is extremely overpriced for the quality. Photos of the rooms are very misleading. Bathroom was filthy and very outdated; there was mildew in the shower and the shower curtain was ripped and dirty. We had to call every day to ask the cleaning staff to clean the room. The staff was uniformly rude, unpolished, and unhelpful - everyone from the front desk to the pool staff, and everyone in between. We will not return.

Location is good, very nice pool and beach. Room is large. Really nothing wrong with the place but doesn’t have amenities or level of service I would expect for a place with the Waldorf name and the price that comes with it. Starts with check-in; bellhop takes bags 15 feet from car to lobby but then no offer to help bring them across the pool and up a couple of floors to the room. Pod style coffee maker in room but no pods. Friends sent a bottle of Champagne to room for us but no note left explaining who it was from (friend later told me he certainly left a message to write on card). Was told they have an EV charger but in reality it’s a 110 outlet with a light duty extension cord and no plug or adapters. That’s about it. Good place, just not luxury as you would maybe expect.

A nice resort, great location, but a little run down and slow service level. A little overpriced for the level of service offered. Had a great time anyway, but if you are looking to be pampered, this is not the resort, 45 minutes to get a Poolside drink. They were out of Malibu on a Holiday weekend?

Overall good. First day room was not cleaned properly. That got better , daily. Staff was very friendly. Food was above average. Beach was clean for the first couple of days, then a storm blew in. Sea Weed covered the entrance to the beach which was not appealing at all, Resort should of have done a mass clean up, of the small beach to improve the guest experience. Tours where fun and informative. Over all I would score the trip as a (3.5-4).

The location is great, but the location cannot overcome the lack of good management. Twice, we reported dirty towels in common areas. We noticed what looked like drug deals across the street from the hotel, on three nights. They were working on the generator, which was located near our room. The tests/repairs involved running the generator a maximum speed (off-and-on) for hours. When we reported this situation to management, they were not aware of the test/repairs. There was a false fire alarm. Also, this hotel nickel and dimes the customer. There was LOTS of seed weed on the beach, which restricted access to the water, which was fine. If I were management, I would have cleared a path so that customers would be able to access the water. Or, would have contracted for the removal of the seed weed, like a another resort did. I would have also suspended the $40 per day resort fee, given the situation. They did provide a $75 credit, after we complained, but it was not offered. Look, a good manager must get out of their office and walking the grounds on a daily basis.

Overall a nice hotel, but too expensive for what you get. The rooms aren't very big (we had a king studio suite), and they're pretty average for what you pay. Nothing plush about them at all. Although it's typical to see a markup on items in the gift store, they're marked up close to 200%. Dinner at Spencer's is nice, but also very expensive for what you get. Eggs, bacon and potatoes for breakfast - $18. Wow. At least give me some toast with that! No toast. Dinner is a little more reasonable at around $40 for a steak dinner...but still expensive. Basically, you're paying for the location. Nice, but expensive.

Thank you for taking time to provide this feedback. The Reach has been undergoing a renovation since August 1st so this so we are not sure when you actual stay was. We certainly do apologize for any service inconsistencies you may have experienced and hope that would return to experience the NEW Reach when we re-emerge as part of Curio Collection by Hilton in December.
