Room: Probably the best part of our stay, with one major exception. The room was fine, the bed was firm and comfortable, the bedroom and bathroom were spotless. The only real problem was that we were there when the weather was roasting, and the air conditioner cycled on and off all night. It's one of those AC units that you usually see hanging out of windows but they've stuck them through the wall. I'm sure there's a noisier AC unit available, but I've never seen it. Location: A short-to-medium walk to most of the Key West attractions, bars and restaurants. Parking: I think we paid $20 to park in the lot next door. It was probably worth it, because I'm sure it's cheaper than paying a parking ticket or towing charge. (Key West has a reputation for strict enforcement of parking rules, and spots are very limited on the street for non-residents.) Breakfast: Pretty much what you might find at a chain motel along an interstate highway: Juice and coffee, some fruits and store-bought pastries. One of the reviews we read before booking raved about the homemade waffles. If there were waffles or someone to make them, we never saw them. Pool: The pool is more like an oversized jacuzzi but without a bunch of bubbling water. It had about the murkiest water I've ever seen in a pool, as if the filter wasn't working. There was no way we were getting in it. Bottom line: We wouldn't recommend the place. It was adequate for a one-night stay, but the inefficient, noisy AC guaranteed that there would be no peaceful sleep. I don't know if it's advertised as a B&B, but the breakfast part leaves a lot to be desired.
Great place, even with the renovations going on they were very accommodating. Rooms were neat, clean, and in good shape. Dayana was a great host. Breakfast was nice. I will return for sure. Would be nice if rates for different times of the year were posted online. It would help in picking what is the best time of year to visit.
We had a great time at the Garden House. The location is perfect - close to the action but far enough away not to be bothered by it at night. Woke up only by roosters :) We had the front room as I see someone else commented on their review - It is comfortable and the personal front porch is great. The manager is great and if you are lucky enough to meet KD the doggo - you will not be disappointed. We did have a great time and enjoyed the Inn
Great location for Duval St and Schooner Wharf. Small but adequate rooms. Quiet, with no street noise. Reasonable rates Older property but it’s undergoing renovation now. Light breakfast is included but there isn’t a restaurant or a bar. Small pool. Cancellation policy is pretty restrictive. Parking is very limited. No additional bathrooms in the pool area. We had room 12 which was right in front. Our door opened up to the front porch with a chair, couch and porch swing which was essentially our private porch looking out at Elizabeth St.
We had a two-day vacation in Key West, and were looking for a B&B in a quiet location but within walking distance of Mallory Square and all the excitement. Garden House filled the bill. It was quiet, comfortable, and hospitable. The onsite manager, Dayana, could not have been nicer or more helpful. She is the best. We look forward to staying at Garden House again.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Garden House. The inn was cozy and relaxing with a wonderful breakfast each morning. The staff was amazing and how can you not like a free happy hour. We will be returning next year for our anniversary getaway.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Garden House! We appreciated the cleanliness and attentiveness from staff. The decor was brilliantly beachy! We spent a lot of time outside in the courtyard area sipping wine and soaking in the lovely atmosphere!
My fiancée and I had an amazing time at the Garden House. The customer service was amazing at ensuring we had anything we needed. Sammy was attentive and also just wonderful to talk to! The other guests there were very friendly and fun to be around. We met a lovely couple named John and Stephen that were just a blast to be around. I would recommend The Garden House to anyone.
The room I had at Garden House was spacious, roomy, and comfortable. The best part of my stay was the customer service. The staff, especially a kind man named John, will do whatever they can to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay. Sammy Miami is also there to ensure that you have anything that your heart desires. Furthermore, the location is very desirable, as it is right in the center of things in West. I would recommend this property to any one visiting Key West!
Sammy Miami and his side kick Katie were amazing host with effervescent personality! The grounds are secluded, but close to the night life. Room was exceptionally clean!!! Will definately rebook next time we venture down!!
