Spent there honeymoon. SPA is lovely, staff very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was really nice (you have everything you could wish to have for breakfast). Rooms could be renovated but it's not a big deal. Other than that , all excellent
Had a great stay here recently with husband. Fantastic spa facilities and restaurant. Particularly impressed with Yew Tree restaurant. Friendly, professional staff who were all very helpful. Excellent service. Great location. Highly recommend.
An amazing overnight stay. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, taking time out of their day to chat with us. The spa was amazing with a range of facilities to avail of. Dinner was beautiful with fantastic service from staff. We'll definitely be back!!!
We stayed here for 2 nights on our visit and have stayed here many times in the past. Breakfast is the best you will ever experience. Head waiter Zsolt is a true gentleman, very professional and friendly. Rooms are beautiful, spacious and spotlessly clean. Spa is a lovely and relaxing treat. Food in Monks bar is great but it's a pity they don't serve food later in the evening, sometimes people just want bar food, without having to go next door. Will be back again soon
Our family of three stayed at the Muckross Park Hotel last month and the entire group loved it. We had a two bedroom apartment which was all it was advertised to be and more. The units were very large and located immediately adjacent to the main building. Our family particularly enjoyed the complimentary bikes and riding in the park which is literally right across the street. Meals were excellent at both the main restaurant and the pub. They had traditional Irish music in the evenings in a family friendly environment. The property is also extremely convenient to area attractions as it is just south of town in a main road. If you are traveling with a family or just want space, privacy or convenience to some beautiful outdoor activities this is the place you should stay. Pictures below are from the bike trails
This makes an ideal location to start your ring of Kerry tour. In fact, while we did it in one day, it would have been better to spend two nights and end here as the trip is a full day. Do see the abbey across the road (waking distance). ABSOLUTELY take the dining package or take advantage of the fancy dinner restaurant. One of the best if not THE best meal we had while touring and EXCEPTIONAL service too. We took a suite, the Belfry suite, for our wedding anniversary and unfortunately this suite has an addition right over the lobby with no blinds so everyone driving in at night sees right into the suite. You could close the door but then you basically just have a normal room so no need for the suite. We had a couple of maintenance issues but the manager at reception was exceptional and took great care of us and helped get that 5th star back from us !!
We're just back after a weekend in Killarney and decided to treat ourselves to the Muckross Park Hotel after hearing great reviews. It completely exceeded our expectations as the service that we received was out standing and nothing was too much trouble. We arrived to the hotel a little earlier then check in time but that was no problem we were checked in by a lovely girl called Sarah who couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming, exactly what you would expect arriving to a 5*, she recommended plenty for us to do during or stay and gave lots of suggestions of places to eat. Aaron was also a great help in organising bikes for us for the day which was very fun. Breakfast and leisure facilities were all great only downside was the view from our room wasn't great but I don't think any rooms had a very good view. All staff were very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be returning
We were gifted a stay here as an engagement present and had a fabulous night a couple of weeks ago. Everything about the hotel from its staff to amenities, food and drink is just first class. It was a real treat, I cannot wait to go back!
Couldn't recommend this place enough, staff were extremely attentive and friendly. They have great local knowledge and couldn't do enough for us. The food in both the Yew Tree and The Jarveys Rest was very good. The spa was really relaxing and the hotel is ideally located in the national park for the perfect relaxing break
The Hotel was very plush and the staff, very friendly and helpful. We didn't use the Spa, but friends we traveled with did and raved about. We walked through the Park to see Muckross Abbey and Muckross House. Well worth the walk in the rain. The only flaw would be the it is a ways out of town, so if you don't have ready transportation, your options are limited to the Hotel dining room (expensive) or the Pub (reasonably good and fairly priced.
