Killarney View House B&B3.0 out of 5.0

The place looked quite promising and overall experience was good. The reason why I did not rate this place with 5 is that I always expect to be treated with warm welcome which we did not received. With just received the keys, the guys who handled the keys too us did not put any effort to explain anything what to do around, I had to ask him to tell us how to get wifi code and he also could not give me any advise of the restaurants in the Killarney worth to visit, etc.... The room was good, breakfast as well, we just did not felt really good attitude and kindness of the staff working there.
Stayed two nights here at the end of May 2017 for our honeymoon. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a gentleman who politely showed us to our room. In all honesty, it felt more like a hotel than a B&B as there were multiple rooms, at least 12 all situated down a long hallway. The room and bathroom were dated, which would not have bothered us if not for the visible signs of being unclean. Also, the room walls were very thin, which could be related to the age of the building as well. We were able to hear conversations and other activities from the rooms around us as well as across the hall. The following morning after check in, when we went down for breakfast, we ordered and were forgotten. Three people were served prior to us speaking up regarding this, and then we were assured that our breakfast was coming - these people had come in after us sitting down. When someone else came in and got their breakfast prior to us, we again spoke up and then the breakfast came (the breakfast was the same as what the other people had gotten - Traditional Irish Breakfast). It took 45 minutes in total to obtain the food. The lady, whose name I never got, but was the owner of the place, kept walking in and out and serving the people around us, but paid no mind to us. When I was finally ready to get up and leave, she addressed us to ask if we were waiting on breakfast, to which I replied "Yes". She was walking away as she asked this, also leaving a sour taste in our mouths. Granted it was busy at the time, but it was a rather irritating experience. The following morning, prior to check out, this issue did not occur again. The view from the B&B itself was pretty and the setting along the river was nice. The walk into town is a convenient 1.5km away, so about 10-15 minute walk. However, there were other B&B's in the vicinity that looked nice as well, and I would rather try one of those next time I am in the area rather than stay there again.
Verry nice B&B just outside off Killarney, located direktly at the river. All Rooms with view onto the river. Large terrace and balcony, very pretty breakfast room. Large Lounge Room with foreplace and Tee and Coffee and Cockies at free access. Breakfast was irish and delicious. Staff very friendly.
We spent 1 night on our trip to Ireland at the Killarney View House. Overall it was very good and and the staff was very professional and accommodating. The location is also excellent, it sits next to a river and is within walking distance to Killarney. Breakfast was also very good. I was a little disappointed with our room, it needed an upgrade. the rest of the B&B was very nice.
Stayed here for a weekend m, very central and convenient. Very clean and very good value. Breakfast was good and a great selection. Only draw back was the paper thin walls where I could hear other couples !! However it was lovely. Stones throw from the gleneagle and Inec m. Owners were welcoming and friendly. I have great memories from there. The sounding bathroom door was unusual I nearly took it off the runner more than once. There is plenty parking ! Very good I would go back :-)
This is not your 4.5 star B&B.....it is a very dated property and the photos are well staged. The rooms are older and not the cleanest. Wifi....what wifi? It was in and out for both days. Both mornings cold showers.....1st morning mentioned this to the owner and she claimed everyone had gotten up late and must have showered all at the same time, well 2 days in a row.....yeah. Very small bathrooms. Beds are very old and really uncomfortable. Place is located within walking distance to downtown and the food was average, not bad, but not mind blowing.
Words can not express how wonderful our stay was. The email coordination with Mary was wonderful considering the time difference here in the states. The room accommodations were very comfortable and cozy. The breakfast was superb and all the recommendations for dinner and excursions made our time there unforgettable. We were able to relax by the fire and read while watching the birds dive into the river on a rainy afternoon. Tea and cookies were always provided and really added to the ambiance of the roaring fire. Mary and her staff always had recommendations and even assisted us in finding our lost camera, which really went above and beyond the Irish hospitality we encountered. We look forward to coming back on our next trip and highly recommend this quaint B&B centrally located between town, Muckross Abbey, and Ross Castle.
Perfect location, close to Killarney city centre. Lovely breakfast and staff. The lady owner was vey nice and chatty. Loved the lounge with the fireplace and river view. So cosy. I would definitly stay here again.
I had a lovely stay while in Killarney while up for a friends stag party and found the accommodation comfortable and the staff friendly. Breakfast was good and the lady who runs the B&B tapped on door to wake me for last calls (much appreciated). I would stay again and also would recommend to a friend.
We had a really enjoyable stay in Killarney. Mary and her staff were lovely and made us feel at home. The open fire in the lounge on a cold winter day was so cosy, the rooms were clean, the breakfast delicious. Great value for money, we would definitely stay again. Thanks Mary and team
