Only a short walk into town. Free parking and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was very warm but we able to open window. Amazing home cooked breakfast. Ideal stay for visiting National Park and surrounding areas.
I have to admit, our room looked not even close to the ones on the photos... My mattress was way too soft, so it caused back pain. But the real issue was the bathroom. The sport were the toilets was was just too small, a normal grown person barely fits in the sport, and the added a toilet-paper holder to that spot. The toilettpaper-holder and the towel-holder were rusty at the bottom. The sink was full of cracks, the tabs were loose. The shower head was so low that a 1.8m person can't take a full body shower (!) On somedays the bathroom had also a strange smell... The bathroom really needs improvement They hav a really Highspeed internet, which was able to handle all users, that was impressive! The breakfast was good, but they have 8 tables for approx. 20 rooms. So you have to queue for breakfast, even if they tell you that you get the next free table, when somebody new steps in when a table frees up , you have to wait even longer. At the same time there is a lounge room next to the breakfast room which is almost empty, can't understand that they don't fit additional tables in there... Probably good for a short stay...
Very touristy area but one of the cheaper hotels there. The hotel was clean, tidy, and the breakfast was nice. Great location to get into town and a 2km walk to the castle and 2km to the Cathedral. Only about 1km from the national park. Worth a stay.
I booked this mainly for the close location to the town..less than 5mins walk..good car parking ,good wifi, excellent greetings from the lady on reception. Room was basic, could do with updating but you get what you pay for. It was very clean, the bed was very comfy and I like the addition of tea/coffee facility. Full Irish for breakfast with cereal and juice available. Overall, it's a great location and if I was to visit again I'd consider returning.
I think I've reviewed this place before but I feel it deserves an even better review. The standards, the quality & the people improve as time goes on. The proprietor, Aoife seems to be hands-on morning, noon & night. The staff whom I've gotten to know are the friendliest & most helpful that I've ever come across in the business. Anne Marie, Rachel, Anna & the others whose names I forget, light up the breakfast room in the morning with smiles attention. It is the nearest thing to a home away from home & I hope that continues. I stay there whenever I can & would heartily recommend it to others.
This was a last minute reservation and we were glad to have it! The hotel is walking distance to town. The staff is so incredibly nice and helpful. Our room was nothing special but comfortable and large. The shower was very small but adequate. The breakfast was everything we needed to start off our day off right. Breakfast is €5 per person, so reasonable. Clean, wonderful staff, great value, walking distance to town, quiet, delicious breakfast, free parking, one cannot ask for too much more! I would definitely recommend!
Great value and clean. No evening meals unfortunately but breakfast was excellent and filling. Clean rooms and quiet with excellent WiFi. Staff very friendly and courteous. My first visit but will return
Upon arrival, the staff here were very friendly and welcoming and gave excellent advice on the driving routes around the national park. Our room was very spacious, clean and modern. The bathroom was also very spacious and modern. Parking was excellent and the wifi was excellent as well. Breakfast was also very delicious with lots of choice. Ross castle is just a 5 min drive away and town centre is also a 5 min walk away. Killarney national park route pretty much starts a bit further along the road. Can't fault anything here!
Nice larger room close to town. Good breakfast. Host helped with suggestions for activities. Only down part is wifi did not work in room. Went to study to get wifi. Host even brought us a cup of tea in the evening.
We found this to be a little find - The staff were friendly and very helpful, you can not be closer to town unless you were actually staying in town, it was clean and presentable and it was great value for money! Only down side was that I ended up with a room where the Wi-Fi was poor
