This place is dangerous because the staff are complete imbeciles! We have 2 children and they gave us a key upstairs with a broken door that they knew you had to kick in to enter the room. They gave us another room key and we walked in and beds were not made with rubbish everywhere. They finally gave us another room and we just had a complete stranger walk into our room with our room key while me and my family were fast asleep! Not safe! We are in the process of getting a refund!
We stayed for two nights in November. The door stuck and we had to kick it open every time we entered. We asked for a non-smoking room, but it was quite obvious that someone had smoked in the room recently. During the night we could smell smoke from other rooms. we bought candles to help with the odor. The bathroom door wouldn't latch and there was no stopper in the tub. The toilet rocked back and forth. There were only two towels in the room. They checked us out after one night when my confirmation clearly stated we were staying two nights. They went in to clean it and left dirty towels and added two clean ones. The bathroom floor was dirtier when they left and they had tracked in a cigarette butt--showing us clearly that did not vacuum. It is in a very noisy location (right next to a busy truck stop) and we could clearly hear the people in the next room. Even at $53.99 per night, it was over-priced. I have had pretty good luck with Econolodge but I was very disappointed in this stay.
Can you post no stars? This place is horrible. Worse hotel I've ever stayed in. The first room I tried had water on the floor in the bathroom to the point the floor was squishy under the tiles. The carpet was filthy. The second room equally dirty. Sheets had stains on them and the whole room smells like mold, the dead bolt was missing and the safety bar for the door was broken. Terrible, terrible place.
I liked the staff and they are fantastic. After staying at another hotel across the street, I decided to try this one. The price is slightly lower and the reviews not quite as good, but I was open to giving it a try. The wifi was spotty in my room. Never got it working on one of my devices and on the other it would come in and out. You expect good wifi nowadays, so this was disappointing, especially since I typically get work done online while I'm staying in a hotel. I got better service from the gas station across the street than the hotel. With the online prices I saw, it would have been $15 more for a non-smoking room. So I took the smoking room even though I don't smoke. It wasn't horrible, but I haven't been in a room that smelled of cigarette smoke since I was a kid in the 80's. Not worth the price drop. They try to make breakfast decent and they do offer some things, but unlike most every other place they do not offer scrambled eggs or sausage/bacon. They do have hard boiled eggs, waffles, toast, and they put white gravy in a small crock pot to go with your biscuit. The rooms are mostly renovated. I had new carpeting and furniture. It looked nice, but you could tell the tub and toilet were not part of that renovation. They were old and dingy, along with the walls. They are trying to compete and doing a decent job. The smoking rooms just need to go, people can step outside to smoke and the wifi needs to improve to justify the price. I would spend an extra $10 and go across the street.
We stayed in this motel in April 2017 and were very disappointed with the room. It was not clean, the carpet looked and smelled as though it had never been cleaned. The bathroom walls had some damage to the sheet rock and the light fixture was hanging down from the ceiling. All in all, not a comfortable place. The breakfast was terrible with very few options. I was not certain how fresh any of the selections were in the very small refrigerator. We are not likely to return.
Nice, clean, and convenient a bit old and run down on the outside. The pool area was nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The room was a bit musty when we got there but a little lavender essential oils fixed that problem. I would recommend this hotel good for price.
Rooms seem to be clean but this place is old and worn around the edges. It needs some help. If you just need some sleep it will do. The night we were there it was quiet. There is an Arby's, Burger King, and Subway within walking distance . It is somewhere between poor and average.
The room was very clean, the linens were nice, the bed/pillows were comfortable, and the staff was very pleasant. There had been some remodeling/repairs, and the quality of workmanship in the bathroom wasn't the best; BUT it was freshly painted and very clean. Even though it was off of the highway, there is a truck stop across the street and we could hear trucks through the night.
We purchased a room around 1:00 a.m. after a long night in the city. The front desk clerk was very professional and answered every question we had. The outside is a little outdated and could use some work. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable! We would recommend this hotel to anyone!
Enjoyed our stay. Beds were comfortable staff was friendly and attentive, and the complimentary breakfast was great. Would stay again for sure! The hotel seemed to have been recently renovated. Very appealing lobby and breakfast area. And the make your own waffle station was fun!
