I stayed at this motel last fall and was happy with the cleanliness and rate. There has been a change in management and the rate I was charged went from $69 to $80 per night for the same room. The room was not clean. The bed and towels were clean, but the bathroom was dirty. The toilet had urine stains, shower/tub had water spots, and the floors unwashed. I would think twice before staying again.
Budget accommodations in a budget hotel. Room was as expected, dated and worn, but mostly clean and relatively comfortable. The bed could do with an update as it seemed worn and saggy, but was comfortable enough. Hot water dropped out as other guests showered, and water was very noisy when others were using it. Mini fridge temp controls broken, many outlets in room were loose and plugs fell out. Overall, good enough value for the price paid. Kudos to management for allowing me to park on checkout day for an extended period to run up the Cariboo to take care of some business!
The hotel was okay for the location, the rooms are a bit dated, we had stayed at the hotel for 5 nights with our kids hockey team. We had the kitchen suite, which had a bedroom with 2 double beds, and the other main room with an additional double bed along with small kitchen. The room was great for having a number of the kids hanging out in. The kitchen needed to be cleaned, look like it had been awhile, had to wash down the cupboards, fridge, wash the dishes so we could use them. I had to fix the ceiling fan as it was falling apart, the bathroom door knob was also fixed as it almost fell off. The cleaning staff was very nice and very helpful. There is no main laundry in the town but the hotel had a washer and dryer that was available to use and worked fine. Location was in the middle of town which is also great, price a little high for the area.
I did not reserve a room - just did a drop-in, as it was off season. The older gentleman at the desk was a bit difficult to deal with - was of the attitude that he was doing me a favour by letting me stay at his motel. I asked to see the room first before I took it. I could not talk the old fellow at the desk into a business rate or AMA rate. The room was on the second floor of the building on the left of the complex. Apparently, the single story buildings at the back of the complex are all kitchens and suites. The room itself was fine - clean, comfortable, quiet (although it was off season; only about a quarter full that night), and updated enough for me. I paid $69 + tax for a standard queen. The heat control in the room did not work and it was quite warm - nothing that opening the window did not solve. I do not know if the air conditioner worked - did not have to use it. The in-room coffee was crap - went to A&W for my morning caffeine. All in all, a good stay. I wouldn't want to pay much more than $69. I would stay again.
Just one night here. Clean and comfortable room.old and dated. One lamp didnt work. Plenty of parking. The shower was great. Hot and heap of pressure. No breakfast but restaurants are walking distance way.
My two young children and I stayed here at the end of July for the night. After traveling in the car ALL day we were looking forward to a nice evening, and sleep. I chose this place as it was #2 on trip advisor.....#1 had no vacancy😕 the kids were looking forward to expending some energy in the outdoor pool. I was told at check in that it was broke down, so no pool 😕 when we decided that was ok, we would just settle in early and watch a movie or something, to find out after there is only limited cable ( NO kid shows) GREAT!! I was going to give them a bath and go to bed, but the tub was yucky, so off to bed we went. Then I was woken up at midnight to the alarm clock going off in the room beside us, this went on ALL night! As there was no one in the room. I called the office twice and walked over there, just to learn no one is in the office after 11pm😡 and my other neighbours partied until 3:30 am! I would have said something to the office, but nobody was there when we left the next morning. I will not stay here again.
Just an average value inn, with the usual free parking and free Wi-Fi. No continental breakfast, but there are restaurants and diners nearby. Location is good, just off the highway. We paid about $90 (tax included) for the night but found a Motel next door that looks decent and advertises $50 single, $60 double. Would have stayed in the other motel but we did not see it on the internet.
We were worried when we pulled up and saw this motel. It looked old and dated. But inside our room, we had new furniture, carpet, and tile in bathroom. It was very clean which is important to us. We also had a fridge and microwave as well as a coffee maker, free WiFi and TV. We paid $82 for a room with a king bed.
Have been using this Motel for years when doing motorcycle trips. It seems to be getting a bit rundown and is really disappointing that pool is in disrepair. Hoping someone puts some money into atleast getting pool going again. Great overnight spot when hot if you have kids when pool in operation.
I will preface this review by saying I normally stay in higher star hotels, and that the price of this room was very cheap (119 a night). My husband, one year old and I stayed here for one night on a road trip. The room was reasonably clean, but had a strange odor that we couldn't pin down. The motel is pretty dated, but the decor inside is probably pretty standard for an older motel. We arrived after dinnertime, and it was a busy weekend- the hotel was full. Location is great and in the middle of town. We paid extra for a larger room, which actually had a separate bedroom, in addition to a queen bed in the main living space; this arrangement worked well with a little one, as she could go to bed and we could stay up and watch tv. The hotel only has basic cable- this is handwritten on a sign at the checkin office. The Wifi was terrible, and I couldn't get it to work on my iPad at all. I would never stay here if I needed wifi for any reason. You'd never be able to stream anything. There is an old pool outside that is being ripped up, and is sort of an eyesore. There was a bunch of old furniture scattered around outside our bedroom- you only see if it you open the curtains, as you can't access the backside of the motel, but it seemed kind of lazy that they left it there. The room would have had a decent mountain view from the bedroom if they just cleaned up this trash. For the price, I guess you can't expect too much, but it isn't anything to write home about. I'm not sure you'd find anything great to stay in in the area, though. The place did look a LOT better than the hotel right across the highway.
