Struggles

The staff, room and everything was great. My struggle was getting in the hotel. The doors aren't automatic, there's not a button for handicap to access door. The second set of doors, which are not spaced far enough to put the luggage cart between, muchless open the next set of doors, the left one was broken. You could only use the right hand door. Trying to minipulate this while first set of doors are pinching your luggage cart with a grip that reminded me of black Friday cabbage patch behavior caused some weary traveler frustration. If you dont want to install automatic doors, you should at least have a handicap button. I thought handicap doors were mandatory for public facilities.

You get what you pay for. Really friendly staff like super friendly!! If you love biscuits and gravy then you’ll LOVE the breakfast because that’s what’s served everyday 🙃 Rooms were clean beds were HARD but overall not bad for a last min trip

Easy to stay for a quick trip

We checked in late and were checked in efficiently. I had called the hotel to let them know that we were arriving late. We were put in a room right behind the elevator which I wasn’t too sure about, but we were so tired and we slept great because the room was comfortable, we didn’t even feel bothered by the elevator. The only complaint I had was that the shower nozzle sprayed out the side of the shower and we ended up with a lot of water on the floor even though I tried to divert the showerhead, but I did tell the clerk when we checked out that there was an issue and she noted it.

Terrible Matresses Caused Sore Back

It's an average hotel. It had good biscuits and gravy but orange juice that tasted old. Loved the tub with several grab bars for steadying and the hand-held shower sprayer that could be adjusted not only for temperature but also for pressure. The major thing to us is mattress quality. I asked at checkout if any rooms had new mattresses, anticipating a future stay. I was told our room (#111) had a newer mattress. Oh, my. It felt like we were sleeping on coils with a mattress topper. When we go back to Joplin we won't be returning to this motel.
