Stopped here for a week. Breakfast was excellent. Helpful staff. Very helpful on arrival. Would recommend it to anyone. Small pool and gym. Room cleaning excellent. Easy walking distance of st Helier.
My wife and I, together with two friends have just arrived back from Jersey after a four night stay at the Apollo Hotel in St. Helier, it was our second visit. The reason we returned was because on our first visit we found it to be excellent in all respects. It may look a little dated both inside and out, but the Staff are outstanding, very helpful and friendly. A large selection of food was provided for breakfast which was very good and well presented in very clean surroundings. The rooms were also very clean and well maintained during our stay, all rooms are on the first and second floor. The two pools, inside (with a hot tub) and outside, although not large were also clean and well kept. There is a Pub attached to the Hotel called “The Boot and Ball”, good food and drink is available there, the prices of both being very reasonable. The downside is that at present the Hotel is definitely not wheelchair friendly, and the lifts will accommodate about four people and one large suitcase, the doors of one lift will close on you before four people can get inside (or out). Apart from that we had a great stay and would recommend it to any of our friends. It is about a ten minute walk into the Town Centre.
Very convenient to shop (30second walk) and two near by sports pubs, fine for the odd drink. Hotel was nice, staff very helpful, always attentive and someone is always around if you need anything. Rooms nice, food really tasty, imaginative menu choices, we opted for the half board option and a delight to have a four course dinner every night! Really good food, service very good, the finer details really count. Overall a good stay
We stayed for 2 nights at the Apollo hotel and yes it is in need of updating but the whole hotel was spotless clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast is amazing, the choice was brilliant. We will be returning again
We visited jersey for the bank holiday weekend. The bus stops literally outside of the airport terminal and charges £2 per person. Don’t bother with a taxi. The hotel took 10 mins to walk to, literally all the way along king st which is the main shopping street. The hotel is dated and needs an uplift in decor but the room was fine, good comfortable beds, clean and tea making facilities. We stayed half board and I must say it was excellent value. We had unlimited breakfast and 4 course meal at night. All good Food like meat, fish and veggies. Jersey is not a cheap place to visit. Staying half board made a huge difference to our holiday fund. The indoor pool and hot tub helped soothe worn out feet from a day out of sightseeing. I wasn’t brave for the outdoor pool but plenty of guests did. Pool towels provided for too. Advice for others, the hairdryer in room was rubbish. I have long hair it took forever to dry. Defo take your own. This hotel is suitable for travellers on a budget. It was clean, safe and catered for all of our needs at a reasonable price. Great food and friendly staff. I would stay at this hotel again.
This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel it’s a short walk from town ,there is a sports bar next door .Staff are very friendly and helpful the breakfast is very varied they also got soy milk and gluten free bread in for me much appreciated. There were six adults staying at the Apollo together we were well looked after .Our room faced the car park they had managed to get us three rooms close together.
We came here for a family holiday with our 4 month old. Our little one is still pushchair bound, and the hotel has a number of small flights of steps, both to get to it from the street and once inside another 2 flights before getting to the lift to our floor. By the end of the week we had got quite good at navigating our way through the building, but I could see it being difficult for someone in a wheel chair. We enjoyed a dip in the pool most days, but the changing rooms by the pool were a little tired. The bottom of the pool as well as the wall having Roman style mosaics Dinner in the restaurant and pizza place were both good, and a highchair and travel cot were provided for us. Reception was busy with another guest when we arrived, but before we could check in, another hotel employe said "I'll take your bags to your room, its 2xx", clearly aware of the arrangements for us travelling with an infant. We ended up unplugging things in the room to charge phones and for a night light, a socket or 2 near the bed would have been nice There is a bus stop almost directly outside the hotel (Brooklyn Street) which was helpful when traveling to and from the airport, but most times we walked down through the shops to the Liberation Bus Station
Such comfortable and clean beds, we did not want to get up in the morning!! Very reasonably priced too and a great central location. Nice indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi. Simple but nice! Thank you also to the lovely lady at reception who printed my job interview notes! Much appreciated! We'll be seeing you again soon!
Had a great holiday in Jersey stayed at the Apollo hotel. We had a lovely large room overlooking the swimming pool, the inclusive breakfast was very good and offered good variety. The hotel itself is a little bit tired and needed some cosmetic work but I believe plans are underway to remedy this, we however could not fault our own room. A bonus was free parking at the back of the hotel and it was only 5 minute walk to the centre of St Helier.
Stayed at this Hotel when we came to Jersey for a family wedding. Breakfast were good value with a good choice.Rooms were very poor and in need of updating. We booked 3 seperate rooms all were the same overlooking the carpark. Beds were uncomfortable.radiator thermostats were broken. Window catches were broken.Hooks holding the tiebacks on curtains were broken. And the showers had a trickle of water coming straight down into plughole.no room to stand under it.very poor. Wardrobes were dirty.Would not recommend .very disappointed.
