This was our fifth visit to this charming hotel in eight years and I am delighted to say the warm welcome we received was very warm and as warm as ever . I have recently read a review about this hotel which was less than complimentary and I have to say I think they must be talking about a different place, either that or they must not have "got" the heart ❤️ of this lovely friendly hotel . Everything we loved about it the first time was still there . The management and staff have changed but were still welcoming and professional. Heather ,the manager , Helen on reception, Darius and Renata front of house and the super very efficient waiting team were just that ! We had booked a superior room and it was very clean and inviting , bathroom had been upgraded and supplied everything we needed . We had hired a car and intended to eat out in the evening ( only booked B&B) but ,the menu was very good in the restaurant and we ended up eating there every evening . Each meal is cooked to order , a good table d'hote with a varied selection & daily specials ,lobster, steak etc . The breakfast is excellent , buffet style ..a good table of juices ,cereals, fruit, yoghurt croissants, then English breakfast 🍳 as much as you like ..eggs,bacon,sausages,mushrooms,tomatoes,hash browns ,beans etc toast . Facilities are excellent for a small hotel : outdoor heated pool with a nice terrace of tables and sun beds , even a tennis court ,gardens are well tendered with a kitchen garden that supplies the hotel kitchen, the WIFI was efficient , the bar was well stocked and the barman Darius was chatty and hospitable . The beach at Grouville was really great with some water adventures if you want them ! This hotel is super for every genre ...couples, families, singles . It is a little oasis , and for a break I can't really recommend it enough .

What can I say about this little hidden gem of a place.. This must be the only place where we can stay in Jersey where, it's just off the "beaten track". This quiet just perfectly placed hotel is just inland from the coast and not cascaded by tourists. The staff are extremely courteous and Heather (the Manager) made my wife and I so welcoming. The establishment is spotlessly clean and the hearty breakfast served every morning has a wide variety of options to choose from. The hotel also offers a very good selection from their restaurant for dining. The swimming pool is heated with complimentary clean towels. I can be fussy with but certainly not with this place. Thanks to the team at Beachcombers!

Stayed here for 4 nights and, overall, enjoyed my stay. I arrived at 2.50pm and my room wasn't ready. This was greeted with 'check in time is 3.00, so we've got another 10 minutes' - no hint of an apology. I sat outside to wait and was told I would be called when the room was ready but this didn't happen. When I eventually got into the room there were no towels - on ringing down to reception I was told that they were still in the washing machine! Again, no real apology and they didn't turn up until 6.00pm. Perhaps they could invest in a few more towels! Reception staff not very friendly or welcoming and I had a slight barney when I wasn't happy for her to write my credit card details on a piece of paper. The room was ok - it had obviously been fairly recently repainted but the 1970s curtains and furniture had not been replaced. However there was lots of storage and a comfortable bed. The bathroom had been refitted nicely but there was absolutely nowhere to put anything - a shelf is needed. Everything was very clean - the domestic staff do a good job. The restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful, although some of them barely speak English. The breakfast was ok although only tinned fruit and sliced bread available. However the evening meals were excellent - we ate there all 4 nights. The hotel is well situated if you don't want to be in the bustle of St Helier, with a bus stop a short walk away - we found the buses very reliable and I would recommend emailing the bus company and asking them to send you a timetable before you go. Overall, I would recommend this hotel but it could be so much better with a few tweaks and more of a commitment to customer service from the management.

We stayed for 4 nights. This hotel is in a rural setting but not far from a couple of convenience stores. The local bus stop has buses running very frequently. The rooms were very clean - the beds were very comfortable and the towels were lovely and fluffy. The room was a bit small for all the furniture in it but we managed to rearrange it so that one of the armchairs was by the door and out of the way. The corridor smelt freshly painted. Breakfast offered cereal, fruit, toast and cooked food. Evening meals consisted of 4 or 5 choices for each course. All staff were polite and attentive. The pool was lovely and quite warm! Recommended.

What a lovely place, nice small hotel and the friendliest staff. Nothing was too much for any of them. Heated pool, tennis court and delicious food. Would definitely stay there again. Only an hour's flight from Leeds Bradford Airport and the transfers were very smooth.

We stayed here last week & really enjoyed it. The room was very clean & had a lovely bathroom. The bed was huge & very comfy I think it was two singles put together but it was the best nights sleep I have had in months. Breakfast was good quality food with plenty of choice & different juices plus tea & coffee. It is only a five min walk to the bus stop & beautiful beach (see photos)

77 hotel reviews and our first ever 'terrible' one. Look at our profile. I checked the hotel website and tripadvisor twice after checking in because I could see no relation to what was on offer. Dirty, tatty and the cheapest of products used. This was probably once a nice hotel but is suffering terrible neglect. Stained carpets, filthy windows, numbers chalked on the wall where room number plaques have fallen off. Fire extinguishers propped open fire doors and evacuation notices were unreadable with age. Staff are mostly very young and lack training. The older members of staff gathered in one corner grumping at the newer staff members and complaining loudly about their pay and conditions. Breakfast of the most basic and poor quality ingredients. This would have been a bad experience at a fifth of the price charged. We had prepaid our stay here but still looked for other accommodation. Photos to prove our posting.

Friendly family owned hotel by the countryside. Quick access to the east & north of the island. Beautiful location with a walking environment. Clean modern dining room offering varied and tasteful food with a relaxed and efficient table service. Staff were nice with pleasant manners and always towards customer satisfaction. A peaceful hotel with fresh ensuite bedrooms. Outdoor pool warm water and a quiet seating area with views over the fields. Also just a short 10 min walk to the coast beach along by Royal Jersey Golf Club. Although having a hired car my wife & I enjoyed after breakfast and after dinner local quiet countryside walks. This is our second stay and will be back again. Recommended.

My mother and I checked in to beachcombers for a two night stay as we were back on the island visiting family (we are a jersey family now living in devon) this was our second stay and like the first did not disappoint, the room was spotless and serviced (i am a housekeeping manager for a big resort in the UK, so hard to please) to a high standard, the bed was very comfy and the shower spot on, food at the hotel was tasty hot and varied and the staff are second to none in politeness but not over attentive which suits me, a good choice for breakfast as well. While we were visiting the family and graves etc we went down to longbeach in Gorey (2 min drive or a 10 min walk) and tried out the kayaks and paddle boards at Gorey water sports, a total must do as the sea was a mill pond and so clear, we went quite far out and spotted dolphins in the distance, all in all a lovely stay and we have no hesitation in re-booking again for next year.

My wife and I have just spent a few days in Jersey. We booked Beachcombers through Jersey Travel to celebrate my 70th. We have been to Jersey many times but this was our first stay here, it won't be our last! Out room was at the front overlooking the road, the bed was comfortable and the on suite was clean with a good shower. The menu was varied and the food was good especially the fish. When we asked for an alternative menu as my wife has trouble swallowing certain foods different choice were arranged. Well done, we really appreciated the service of the staff and management, nothing too much trouble. The pool had plenty of seating around with some in the shade. It was nice to sit there after a day travelling around the island. A lovely place to stay.
