Clean rooms, pool area and breakfast area. Beds are comfortable. Hot tub was heavenly, but a tad too hot. Still relaxing. The staff was pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. Location is perfect with restaurants within walking distance. An overall good stay.
We had been driving during the ground pounding rain the upper Midwest states received the last week of April 2017. We stopped our trip because there was no driving visibility and traffic was moving so slowly that we stopped by Beloit WI, Quality Inn. I am sorry I did not get the gentleman's name (he has two small children) who checked us in, but he was great! We asked for a quiet room to get some sleep before heading out again the next morning. We got what we asked for, on the second floor! Thank you!! I recommend this Quality Inn and will stay again if we find ourselves in the area.
This was the worst hotel I have stayed at in over two years. It was booked in a group block for a youth sports team. We got in around 11 pm. I had the kids shower and when they pulled back the covers, there was hair. I told my kid to get in the other bed and it was the same. I called the front desk and was informed that I could get new sheets, but there was no one available to change them. At almost midnight with an 8am game, I informed him I wasn't changing anything and we would sleep on top of the sheets. I inquired about monetary compensation and he informed me that he would leave his manager a note. The next morning I stopped to make sure the manager had gotten the message and his response to me was that I had gotten a group rate. I asked him if the group rate meant I was supposed to get dirty sheets and subpar service. The manager was quite irritated with me, but stated he would contact his manager. When we got back to the hotel at 2pm, I again stopped to see if he had spoken to his manager. He replied that it was already taken care of (as though I should already know this) and that there would be a 15% discount. There was a 15% discount reflected in the final bill on Sunday, but I am just waiting to see if the correct amount posts. In short, this hotel was filthy, small, and over-priced.
Worst hotel we have stayed in. We used our points and it was such a waste. Stayed here because of my dad's funeral and would never come back. The only reason for the 1 star was the guest services were friendly and polite. Other than that no positive to this hotel. Smelled funny in the hallways and rooms. They had hazardous furniture around the stairs and there is no elevators to get to the second floor. The beds were comfortable but the rooms had a lot of issues. Very tiny bathrooms and patch spots throughout the walls. The carpet was coming up so we had to make sure we didnt trip. The breakfast was TERRIBLE even the kids around us complained. Non of the fruit was ripe and the apple juice was the nasty I have ever tried. I dumped mine out while the kid across from us spit his out!
My son ALWAYS come here just to get away with our dog(s) and we have never ever had any problems, breakfast is always good, coffee is always on and I have no problem asking for more in my room. The pool is nice and warm and so relaxing. The people working there are always very nice and accommendating and will do anything to make your stay better for you.
We spent 4 nights here in December, 2016 while attending a family funeral and visitation. The hotel and rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. Jack and Jason at the front desk were exceptionally helpful, even letting me print my airline boarding passes at the front desk. The indoor pool was well maintained and clean. We were given room 118 close to the lobby/breakfast, laundry and indoor pool. The breakfast was very good. The wi-fi worked well. Housekeeping did a wonderful job and the beds were very comfortable. It was quiet and peaceful here.
This place would be better of being demolished and rebuilt. There is not much going for it, if at all. Smelly place, dirty place. Rooms are filthy, smelly, pillows smell of "whatever", dead insects drop from the curtains...bathroom is the size of a shoebox...horrible. 80$ for that...never again.
We stayed here in 2015 for Sonic Boom so when Boom returned this year, naturally, we decided to stay here again. Big mistake. I booked back in June (Sonic Boom, a huge outdoor concert, was Oct 1 & 2). We drove 4 hours to this hotel only to be told they don't have our reservation. The employee, Jack, was not very helpful at all. He just kept asking the same questions ("Are you sure you booked the right dates? Is that the name you used?" over and over...YES I'M SURE) and did not offer any assistance. He didn't call the manager or even ttry to help me find another hotel. He just kept saying the hotel was booked to capacity. Well obviously, since Sonic Boom returned and it drew in 20,000+ people. I can't say it was 100% bad because it was clean. But because of this incident, I will not book this hotel again. It just was poor handling and Jack could have tried a little harder. Anyways, we ended up staying at the Hampton Inn next door and we will definitely return to the Hampton. As far as the Quality Inn, we won't be back.
We stayed here one night for soccer in Rockford -- Beloit is a very easy drive from Rockford's main soccer complex. The staff were all great (by far the only reason we did stay) but honestly, the hotel itself is just not good. It smelled like deodorizing sprays of various sorts throughout, with our room being the worst, livable only by opening the window and running the air conditioner for the afternoon to push the extreme perfume smell out. Beds were old - bedding was ok - furniture was ancient and beat up - bathroom was dirty - incoming noise from hall was terrible. We did have a refrigerator in our room that worked well, there was plenty of parking, even with a full hotel, and breakfast looked good (but we decided not to risk it before soccer games). Restaurants, fast food, and Starbucks are just across the street. If we stay in Beloit again, we'd pick the Fairfield next door. Glad we spent the very minimum of time here. Hope the management respects and rewards the only good thing they have going - their staff.
We stayed 2 nights for a family wedding. We couldn't stay at the hotels that wedding party booked because we had a pet. I was shocked that this hotel only charged us $10 a night for our dog. This hotel is right off Route 81 and there are a lot of stores, restaurants and even a movie theater within walking distance. Rooms were clean, staff was very friendly and the breakfast was very good. Lots of healthy options and coffee was offered all day. The pool area was a little small but the water was very warm and relaxing. Nice grassy area in the back to walk your pet. I do wish that more people were like me and picked up after their dog. This, of course, is no fault of the hotel. Back area was very lit up so I felt safe walking the dog at night. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
