Where to start? The most positive about this place was Angel who checked us in. She was professional and welcoming. Our room was clean as well. Nice large pool. Now for the negatives. The back entry where we were told to park was sketchy. Every time we went out the same people were loitering around that made us feel unsafe. Not normal behavior for someone staying. No, they weren’t just outside for a smoke. We both had uneasy feelings so moved our car to the front. The pillows are like thick rocks! Worse we have had on this trip. Lastly, the breakfast. While it is a typical hotel buffet, there was no one tending it. There was extremely loud music in the employee area. The pancake maker was empty. A patron pounded on the door several times to get some help. No one ever came out to check on the food. This is the only hotel where I have seen a tip jar for the breakfast server. Tacky. I may have considered a tip if the person showed their face or provided some service. Overall, I would NOT stay here again if I was in the area.

The indoor pool takes up the entire atrium area which all rooms face.. Arrived around 7pm, a million kids screaming and running around banging on our door until after 10pm, incredibly noisy. Terrible place to go unless youre going there with your kids and you dont want to supervise your kids.

Excellent value in a retro setting

Bit of a retro vibe, this place has a 70's feel or earlier. The rooms are very spacious with a comfortable sofa as well as a king sized bed with a really good mattress. A small refrigerator and microwave helped supplement the coffeemaker. The room appeared rather dark due to the covered pool area on one side and the smaller window on the other as well as the heavy use of dark wood, again lending to the earlier decade decor. Pool appeared clean and inviting, but the spa did not live up to the pool's sparkle and I saw no one attempt to use it. The bathroom is miniscule (the door can't even open fully with the newer elongated toilet), but the shower was fine. Breakfast was varied and good, with hot items surpassing many continental breakfasts offered at other places. The bar was friendly and cozy with more retro vibe videos and staff that fit right in. Very comfortable and spacious as long as you are not looking for super modern and upscale. Excellent value for your money overall.
