Booked a double queen with a sofa bed as we were a group of 5 attending a conference at the Mayo Clinic. Check in was pleasant and looking back the best part of our visit. Once in the room we requested additional towels as there were not enough for 5. The desk clerk who checked us in promptly delivered the towels. We were thinking we were off to a great start. Unfortunately the thought dissipated quickly. As we were pulling out the sofa bed we noticed the area between the bed and side table had rarely, if ever been cleaned. The mattress on the sofa bed was worn,springs were exposed and the springs at the bottom were broken resulting in the mattress sinking to the ground. We called the front desk and the phone just continuously rang (the desk clerk was more than likely helping other guests just as she had helped us so we don’t fault her at all). We decided to get some rest(meaning one of our party simply slept on the sofa cushions)as it was after 11 and deal with the bed the next day. As we left the property the next morning we stopped by the desk and notified the clerk of the broken bed, she assured us it would be taken care of while we were out. When we arrived back to our room the bed was still broken. As we left for dinner we again notified yet another desk clerk who assured us maintenance would repair the bed while we were out to dinner. We returned to a still broken bed. Again, we went to the reception desk where we were told that maintenance has taken a look at the bed and they could not fix it. We know this to be untrue as 2 members of our party did not go to dinner and remained in the room-no one ever came to look at the bed. We were also informed that the hotel had overbooked so there was no possibility of changing rooms. We had to go to Walmart and buy an air mattress as the bed could not be repaired and there were no other available beds. Upon check out we notified yet another agent that we had to buy an air mattress, she informed us the previous agent left no notice of the issue. She did ask for a copy of the receipt for the air mattress which I provided. I was told the manager would be in contract with me. I haven’t heard from anyone since then. Not exactly the treatment I expected as a gold elite member.

We stayed 1 night on our way through town. Hotel is easily accessible right off I10. Plenty of places to eat within a mile or two. The hotel is in very good shape and seems almost new. The room was clean and bed comfortable. Shower was warm, but could have been a little stronger. Breakfast was great with both hot and cold selections. This was our second night in a row at Fairfield Inns for our trip and at both the wifi was weak in the room. We did run into an issue with the Marriott website when we tried to book. The search for Jacksonville, FL turned up only hotels in Springfield IL. We had to call Marriott directly to book.

This is a very nice hotel. I wouldn't say there is anything great about the hotel, But everything is very nice. The rooms are clean and fresh, the front desk is very pleasant and the breakfast is very good (for a hotel breakfast). This is becoming our 'go to' hotel while in Jacksonville on business. The only real downside is the location... Nothing happening around this location.

If you are coming to Jacksonville and need a place to stay on the west side of town I highly recommend this Fairfield Inn. It is in great shape with a great staff. Debbie who handles the breakfast area goes out of her way to make sure everyone is taken care of in the mornings. A nice friendly atmosphere

We stayed here in last year; liked it so much we booked it again for this year while visiting family. Last time, I noticed that it's a nice hotel; well decorated, clean, & the staff is very nice. Same this time. :) Special shout out to Ginger at the breakfast area...she was very sweet & fun (interactive with our 6 year old)... Thanks for a great stay...AGAIN!! :D

As a recreational bicyclist who only bikes on paved trails, I've been wanting to stay at this Fairfield Inn for 3-4 years because of the close proximity to the Jacksonville-Baldwin Trail. The hotel is only 3.8 miles from the trails midway point which is Camp Milton Historic Preserve, a Civil War area owned by the City of Jacksonville. In February/March 1864, over 8,000 troops arrived at the site to provide the first line of defense against the Union forces in Jacksonville. Artifacts from that period were first discovered in 1973. This hotel was absolutely fantastic. Bright, cheerful, and well maintained. Also they had a swimming pool indoors, plus a well equipped exercise room. My room was super clean and nice, and had all the amenities you'd expect from a Marriott. And the breakfast was beyond first class. Breads, cereals, lots of fresh fruits, sausage, eggs, omelets, waffles, coffee, OJ, apple juice, etc. And having lots of restaurants virtually within walking distance was great. Cracker Barrel, Burger King, McDonalds, Winn Dixie, etc. Anyone who complains about this hotel is either blind, delirious, or impossible to please. You can believe that. Top marks from me for this Chaffee Point Blvd. location. I'll definitely be back soon. Thanks.

We chose this hotel because of the reasonable price and proximity to the Jacksonville Equine Park. We found it to be clean and fresh, with attractive rooms. I think the beds were memory foam...so comfortable! The free breakfast was unusually good. Microwave and fridge in room.Our room had a view of a dense stand of trees...very soothing to look out at. The hotel was fairly busy, but quiet; never heard a sound from the adjoining rooms. We will stay there again if we return to Jacksonville. Oh, and the pool was indoors, clean, and we did swim.

I stay weekly at a variety of hotels. This Jacksonville hotel was a winner. Front desk personnel greeted guests warmly and were willing to help with any need from boarding passes to offering a free snack buffet. I will return on my next trip here!

I am a loyal Marriott rewards customer. We stopped here around 8 pm on Mar 31. Asked desk clerk, a young black woman, if there were any rooms as we did not have a reservation. I was told no. This was not surprising since alot of the snowbirds began traveling north that day. I asked her if she ciuld check nearby locstions but she said no I needed to call or look online. There was no one waiting for help not sure why she wouldn't help. I sat down in the seating area near the desk and began searching online nearby Marriott's. Not 5 minutes later a man came in and asked for a room and also had no reservation. She began checking him in! I walked up and said that I had just asked for a room and she said there were none. She said someone just canceled. I was sitting ten feet from her and she knew I had just asked her but she ignored me when she could have told me there was a cancelation. I am very disappointed in this service. We ended up at another location by the airport farther away unfortunately. This happened around 8:15-8:30 3/31.

We stayed here for a week for a work/family trip. The staff are some of the friendliest we've encountered. Super helpful with some trouble in our first room. Immediately tried to remedy the problem and when they couldn't, they quickly moved us to another room. We were always greeted with a smile and a "hello". Rooms::We had a 2 queen suite room. Very large, clean and comfortable. Plenty of lighting and electrical outlets. We had a sofa and chair in the sitting area and a desk in the sleeping area. One dresser and a nightstand and a big closet for clothes. A/c in our second room worked wonderful! The batteries in the thermostat went dead on our 4th day and maintenance took care of it immediately. Housekeeping:: our room was cleaned every day. Although one day it wasn't vacuumed for some reason. Linens were changed after 3 nights. By the last day, our clean towels were folded and piled into a big pile on the shelf....not hung up. Our bathroom mirror wasn't cleaned the whole time we were there.....not a big deal, but I'm trying to include everything. We had a handicap accessible room, which we didn't need, so all of the rails and seats in the tub kinda got on my nerves but everything was clean. Beds were made daily and trash was emptied. Housekeeping staff was friendly! We always had hot water no matter what time we showered. Breakfast::we enjoyed it. Lots of choices....waffles, bacon, turkey sausage, regular sausage, Canadian bacon, oatmeal, fruit, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, bagels, pastries. Good assortment which changed daily. The last day we were there which was Sunday, the lady working the breakfast seemed overwhelmed. Trash cans were overflowing and coffee was out. There were a lot of people there and I think it was too much for her. Maybe need 2 people helping on weekends. Amenities::pool and fitness room were clean and large. We used the grill that was at the hotel, and it worked great. There's a large patio off the pool room and the breakfast room with plenty of tables. The only drawback of the pool area is that it's inside and we could never get sun on the patio area outside. Plenty of towels in the pool area. Washer and dryer worked good and were reasonably priced. Plenty of parking and hotel is in a convenient location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would doing Italy stay again. Everything was very, very clean and everyone was really friendly. I tried to include all the "little" things that didn't bother us but might bother someone else--lol.
