Holiday Inn Resort Ixtapa All Inclusive

The staff is what makes this hotel special.

Weekends are always overly busy but during the week it calms down and becomes very relaxing.

Hotel Villas Miramar-Adults Only

Had a couple of issues, but were taken care if

The hotel was affordable and near the beach and downtown. The first room we had was on the second floor and we requested to be moved to first floor, much easier for us.

Hotel Emporio Ixtapa

Good choice in Ixtapa

This hotel is in the perfect location. Out the front is the wonderful little downtown of Ixtapa with so many amazing restaurants and shopping. Out the back is the beautiful beach and lots of beach chairs in the shade. The pool is is a bit small and crowded but nothing terrible. The building is older but kept up to a reasonable degree. I think the in room bathrooms are where you notice the age of the place but still nothing bad.. We booked a Jr Suite and we're very happy with the views and the extra living room that let us spread out. They have 2 for 1 drink specials a couple times a day which was a bonus. The staff throughout was amazing, so kind and accommodating. It's the people of Ixtapa we love the most. Across the street you can rent bikes for $3 and ride the great bike paths they have through town and up to the nature preserve. Perfect activity to do before sunset. We tried a different restaurant every night in town and were never disappointed.

Casa Kau-Kan

Nice hotel close to the beach

Es muy tranquilo. If you're not looking for a lot of distractions, this place is perfect. No bar, no TV, just the ocean and palm trees and a pool. On a beautiful stretch of uncrowded beach a few miles from town, perfect for just lounging around. The hotel offers breakfast and lunch but no dinner. Family-style restaurants within walking distance are great, but don't stay open late. It's not hard to get into the nearby town which offers a lot of activities, like snorkeling, scuba, kayaks and catamaran rentals, etc. Excellent restaurants and some nightlife in town, including a restaurant also called Kau Kan, owned by the same owner as the hotel.
