In the heart of the tourist area sultanahmet but on a nice quiet side street overlooking the park. Well decorated beautiful comfortable room. Opt for the terrace rooms lovely for sitting outside and relaxing. Breakfast was delicious. Hotel staff especially Envar went out of their way to be helpful. Nice spa and pool space although I didn't use the services looked nice. Would look forward to coming back!

It is impossible to overstate how wonderful the Sirkeci Mansion is. We just returned from an amazing 9-day stay in Istanbul, and our experience there was incredible from beginning to end. If you are traveling to Istanbul, Sirkeci Mansion should be a must. We cannot endorse it highly enough, and are already looking to returning again in the near future.

My husband and I just returned from a 6 night stay at the Sirkeci Mansion and we could not have been happier. For starters, the hotel is in the perfect location. It's literally a 30 second walk to the Gulhane tram stop, and a 10-15 minute walk to almost all the major sites (Hagia Sophia, the Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Palace, Spice Bazaar, just to name a few). There are also a ton of delicious restaurants and reasonably priced shops right around the corner. The rooms are quite large and beautiful (ask for a room with a balcony overlooking Gulhane Park!), and the hotel is very well maintained. However, the most impressive aspect of Sirkeci Mansion is the staff - they are absolutely incredible. The Turks are known for their hospitality, and having spent almost three weeks in Istanbul over the course of three trips, this is absolutely something I can attest to. And still Sirkeci Mansion takes Turkish hospitality to a new level. Everyone was SO friendly, attentive and accommodating. Very big thanks to Sukru Araz for the wonderful dining suggestions, and all of the help you provided us with. We look forward to staying at Sirkeci Mansion the next time we're in Istanbul!

Awesome staff and great location. Had a very relaxing stay and sirkeci mansion staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is very convenient to navigate all the major locations by foot and tram/metro nearby.

Location- near many great, well known landmarks. A lovely park across the street. Nice restaurant on top. Clean, comfortable room. European breakfast, not many options. The staff was excellent. Spent a lot of time assisting me with my lost luggage. They made calls and translated for me. I highly recommend this hotel.

There's not much more we could have asked for. This is a really great, non-chainy hotel that just does it right. The rooms/bathrooms are average sized but nicely appointed (think European hotel rooms). The food was great, including the breakfast buffet. Upon arrival, we were greeted and given an overview of the hotel and the nearby sites (which are all within a 10-20 minute walk...or even faster by tram). The staff also helped us with purchasing tickets in advance that helped us skip many of the lines that most tourists wait for hours in. I'd love to stay here if we were to come back to Istanbul.

We really enjoyed the Sirkeci Konak. The staff is fantastic, the food is great and the perks are plentiful. My only recommendation might be to get a room on a higher floor since we were a bit warm on the lower level above the kitchen. It was a bit pricey for us, but I think it's comparable to other hotels in Istanbul and we were really pleased with our stay! Highly recommended.

The Hotel was terrific. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location in the old city was near all the sites within walking distance. We used the hotel's turkish bath, sana, and pool which was relaxing after tourning around. The free welcome drink, free water bottles in the room free lemonaid tea and snacks at 5:00PM weredelightful. The free breakfast buffet was very tasty and plentyful. All in all it was a pleasant stay at theKonak.

Sirkeci Konak is a one of a kind hotel that is equally peaceful and pleasurable for kids. We spent 11 days at Sirkeci Konak in Aug 2011 and had an incredible experience. After reading all the positive reviews I felt it would be impossible for them to meet the expectations that my wife and I set, but was I wrong! They exceeded any and all expectations and made our experience in Istanbul all the more memorable. The hotel itself is beautiful, well maintained, clean and conveniently located. But what makes it special is that staff! I can't say enough about how much they went out of their way to make me and my family (especially my 3 year old son) feel welcomed and entertained. Unfortunately I cannot remember all of their names, but each and every person that worked for the hotel that we interacted with made us feel as if we were relatives visiting them after several years. I hope to one day visit Istanbul again, and if I do, no question I will return to Sirkeci Konak! Thanks to all that made of visit so wonderful.

The Sirkeci Konak lived up to the high recommendations I had been reading about. The staff was amazing and helped my dad and I out on all of our trip planning. They gave wonderful restaurant recommendations and even sent up a bottle of wine to our room after my dad told them that he liked a particular kind of wine they served at their hotel. When we went in March the road in front of the hotel was torn up---so you might want to check to see if it is completed--that was a little awkward for rolling luggage!

The hotel is in a great location (across from Topkapi Palace and a few steps from a tram stop). It is very attractive, but the staff and the extras make it special. Everyone is anxious to please and most helpful; the hotel offers events like daily afternoon tea, wine tastings and cooking classes, which we really appreciated since it snowed three of the six days we were in Istanbul. There is free wi-fi or computer use if you don't have your own; a Turkish bath, fitness center and small indoor pool; and the rooms have a tea and coffee maker. The breakfast buffet was top-notch.

From the moment you walk into this hotel, you're greeted like a family member. Honestly, EVERYONE that works here is so friendly and happy. The staff greets you, asks you to have a seat in the beautiful lobby area & gives you an orientation (if you're up for it). You really want to do this, they have a bunch of information - plus some great freebies the hotel offers that you can sign up for. We opted to: - do the Turkish wine and cheese tasting - Cooking night with the chef - Backgammon Unlike some hotels that really nickel & dine you, this hotel spares no fret over a few dollars to make your stay perfect. The front desk even has tram tokens so you don't need to hassle with getting them yourself. The wifi is free & strong (even in your room, and for all devices), the breakfast is free & lavish, and the on-site restaurant is absolutely wonderful. You also can't beat the location. Just a few tram stops to the Blue Mosque, The Sophia & The Grand Bazaar. Or a 5 minute walk to the spice market, the bridge to Euro side, or the ferry to the Asia side. The best part is it's an easy hotel to find in a city that is very foreign & easy to get turned around in. Just walk/follow the tram line & when you get to the part that it passes the ancient wall - voila, you're home! Fantastic neighborhood of shops, restaurants & attractions. Geared to tourists? Yes, but face it, you ARE a tourist! enjoy every minute.

I stayed at this hotel for one night after adding an additional day to a business trip. The hotel is clean, rooms are nice and modern, and the staff if very friendly. It's a reasonable walk to many of Istanbul's sights. When I return with the rest of the family, we'll definately be staying here again as it was nicer than the "4-star" business hotel I stayed at for the rest of the trip. I didn't eat at the hotel since there were too many places near there to try instead.

Beautiful hotel in a wonderful location. The staff was above wonderful. We got to Istanbul only to find that our luggage had not arrived. The staff worked with us for three days contacting the airlines until the luggage was finally returned. They were very friendly and most professional. Each morning there is a lovely buffet breakfast and a nice tea in mid afternoon. We would definitely recommend it and hope to stay there again.

Staff very helpful. Concierge welcome explanation of hotel and complimentary dinner the first night Inexpensive transport to airport Great morning coffee Teatime every day with sandwiches and tea Central location to mosques, bazaar, Topkapi Palace

Warm and helpful staff. They sent us off with a box of Turkish Delight and a smile. The room was tastefully decorated and the location was convenient to the tram and most sights.

This was the BEST boutique hotel I have ever stayed in. The location was excellent, the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful, great bed, great shower/bathroom, breakfast buffet outstanding, complimentary computer and internet service, pool and services were outstanding. The price was exceptional as well. My room was small but very functional. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again. I have traveled extensively and was traveling alone for the first time and this was a terrific experience. 5 Stars from me.

Taxi cabs have some trouble finding it, but once your their it's an oasis of calm and comfort. Perfectly located within walking distance of all the major attractions in the old city.

The staff were amazingly helpful and genuinely friendly.

Lovely hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Easy walking distance to the Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Spice Bazaar and Great Bazaar. Location is near many small restaurants- we enjoyed. Breakfasts were amazing. Too much to choose from. (LOL) I miss the almond cakes!! The Rooms were small but well appointed. We slept comfortably. The hotel is located in the hardware store area. Our cab driver had a little trouble finding it. I would suggest having a map handy when arriving from the airport. Other than that tip- I would have no hestitation recommending this hotel.
