Overall a very good hotel with spacious rooms, good restaurant and very kind personnel. Gym and spa are also good. To be improved the wifi quality. Location is good if you plan your visit in the Asian part of Istqnbul
I came with my girlfriend just to use the spa section, it was really great, very clean, the sauna was so so hot, and the steam bath really fantastic, the Turkish Hamam was just good also the swimming pool was small, the environment was very good and the stuff very polite and helpful, I enjoy it a lot.. the hotel looks wonderful but I don’t have clearly opinion...
The room was large and had a good bathroom. The bed was really comfortable and clean (as it's expected from a Marriott). Breakfast was really good, the staff was great. So far it's 5 stars. My only problem was with the dinner I had (in Orange restaurant), there are tourists coming to this hotel and they offer authentic Turkish food in the menu but I assure you that better food is found elsewhere for less than half price, I'm not complaining about the price I paid yesterday, my problem was with the quality of the meat they served, it was really bad. The restaurant deserves 3 stars overall and it's only for the ambience, not for the food.
This was my second stay in this large, modern business style hotel. I arrived late afternoon and the chirpy receptionist checked me effortlessly and soon had me on my way up to my room on the 15th floor. My room had a large king sized bed with a good view out of a large floor to ceiling picture window over the wholesale fruit and vegetable market many stories below. The furnishings were reasonable with enough plugs for my electrical appliances and WiFi connection (free through my Marriott loyalty card) so that I could work. The TV was a little on the old fashioned side but it worked OK. I liked the fact that there was a good sized safe and enough bottled water. The bathroom was OK with the shower head in the bath tub. I thought that the towels were rather thread bare. Breakfast in the Orange restaurant on the ground floor was OK as well. The choice from the buffet was reasonable and I liked the freshly prepared omelette with my specially requested fried bread. Check out proceeded well with the same pleasant receptionist. She even made sure that my booked taxi was paid through my hotel bill as I was carrying no cash and apparently Istanbul taxis don't accept credit cards. In summary, for a short business trip this hotel is perfectly acceptable.
Comfortable, well priced Marriott in a business area. Hotel has everything you would expect from a Marriott, including a nice inexpensive restaurant serving decent food. I did not try the spa or the pool which are included. Thanks to kind reception staff for their help with Uber driver and for suggesting ferry to get to the beautiful Süleymaniye mosque on the other side of Istanbul. Worth a mention, metro station is within walking distance of the hotel which is a very convenient method of transport.
I stayed here one week for business. My room was very quiet, I never heard any noise. I would like to thank Mr. Bolat, Duty Manager who was always helpful. Also, Sedat in the Exec Lounge. Sedat is constantly on the move attending to guests and making everything orderly. Nice location, 10 minute walk to a mall and a huge Carrfour. I thought the food in the Exec Lounge was rather meager and boring.
Stayed on business for 2 nights. Could not sleep at all. The noise fro outside was unbearable. It quiets down a bit fro 1am until 5am. Room was good, breakfast fine. Not staying again...Booked in another place for my next trip next week.
I arrived just before midnight, having suffered a flight delay. As if this wasn’t bad enough, when I eventually boarded, I was the rather irritable rose, stuck between chronic snorer on one side and then on my other, the passenger no one wants to sit by on a plane – talker ! Once I’d slipped on my noise cancelling headphones and begun furiously tapping away on my laptop keyboard – the snorer and the talker were both muted. Pulling up to the Marriott I was taken by the beauty and scale of the building and this was carried through into the beautiful lobby and reception area. My receptionist was warm, friendly and registered me quickly which I really appreciated due to the lateness of my arrival. Our room was on the 15th floor, overlooking a glorious swimming pool and sunbathing area which was deserted due to the weather, but looked gorgeous. As I opened the room door I got an instant vibe of old Hollywood with a muted palette in the room, spliced with wood furniture. The desk, tv stand, bedside table and most notable some epic bed headboards – a delicious fusion of a wood outer frame, housing a leather square insert and integrated reading light). On the right, a recessed double wardrobe, with wood hangers, iron and ironing board and beside that another cupboard, housing a safe (which displayed an err message, when we tried to use it), a shoe horn and a shoe polish buffer. To the left, the bathroom hidden behind a giant, sliding mirrored door. The bathroom was for me a triumph. In my humble interiors opinion, an upscale bathroom is never truly a work of art, without it featuring liberal helpings of marble and glass - namely a massive mirror, on top of the huge marble, vanity sink unit. The vanity unit was large enough for not just my products, but for my BBF too and the bathroom lighting was good, with two focus lights on either side of the mirror, complimenting the spotlights dotted throughout the bathroom. The unit was fully stocked with towels. The bath combi shower (yes I said bath, so rare in so many hotels today, that it made my day) was lovely – big and deep. The bathroom surround was immaculate – super clean and the taps didn’t require a degree to operate them. My only quibble was the small bottle of ‘body shampoo’. When I take a bubble bath, I want to dive into a luxurious, 'big bubbles everywhere', kinda of bath and relax. Overall, the toiletries were just ish for me and to be honest, I expected them to be from a brand name like Ren or Dermalogica products, which are used in the hotel spa for their facials. On the other side of the bathroom the bedroom. The bed was comfortable, but for whatever reason was laid out with four pillows, which felt like overkill and in terms of housekeeping must be a pain. Beside my bed, at the end of it, was a very useful powerpoint. I also noticed what I thought was a mirrored cabinet opposite my bed, but when I slide back the handle, it revealed the bathroom on the other side. It was nice, quirky interior touch. Opposite the bed, a HD Phillips TV minus a TV guide but with great reception, which is more than can be said unfortunately about the internet. It performed poorly and worked intermittently on the free basic option. I’m going to say what I always say about internet in hotels. It should always be high speed and free for all, particularly when it’s at a luxury hotel. I’m sure many a frustrated businessman has chosen the premium option to remove the disappointing pain of the whirring circle on their laptop screens. The room desk was a decent size with a phone, lamp and three easily accessible powerpoints and was opposite a smaller magazine table, large comfy chair and freestanding floor lamp. I didn’t have time to visit the hotel spa, but I did squeeze in some gym time. The hotel gym is very impressive. Inviting, light and well equipped with an assortment of equipment, guaranteed to help you stay in shape while you’re on vacation or a business trip. So what about the staff ? Gold Stars all round for them. They were amazing. From the front of house staff, catering and housekeeping teams, I was met with smiles, helpfulness, useful information, total professionalism and a universal commitment to ensure that all my needs as a guest were met.
It is a nice place to have wedding. Preparations, from cocktail next to pool to wedding saloon, were great. They have both close and open area parking places. Valet parking is also available. In addition, we liked their staff. We had few problems during the wedding and noticed that everyone was solution oriented and they were taking initiative to find a solution. Please also note that, price/quality is ratio is also very good.
