My executive room had some serious electrical issues. Firstly the plugs weren't working to enable me to charge my phone. Reception promised someone would come "immediately". Tired & after waiting an hour I went to sleep. I was woken @ around 2am and again around 5am when the bedroom hall lights turned themselves on. My room was changed for the second night but the manager denied any responsibility & refused any compensation for a virtually sleepless night. He said the lights were on a movement sensor though admitted there was no over ride switch or guest information in the room. No problem with the replacement room but acoustics generally are terrible - you can hear street traffic from the19th floor as well as all corridor noise. Management is an issue with the hotel generally. The exec lounge advertises itself as open for drinks snacks and "cocktails" until midnight whereas all alcohol is only available during "happy hours". Nowhere does it say the indoor pool only opens @ 7 & outdoor @ 9.

This is not a one off review. After my third visit, I can say without hesitation that this is one of the best hotels around the World that I've had the pleasure of visiting. The location is handy for my business there and the building itself is stylish, clean and impressive. However, more than anything, I have to compliment the staff at this hotel. You really do feel like an honoured guest rather than a "punter". Nothing seems like too much trouble and everything is done with good grace and attention to detail. On future visits to Istanbul, it would take a very good reason to make me consider any other hotel for my stay.

Service at Orange is remarkable and friendly. "Icli Kofte" is a must try for lovers of juicy not too greasy beef covered with pistachio dipped in tomato sauce and covered in yoghurt. "Manti" is now on top of my favorite dishes, Turkish version of ravioli filled with minced beef, soaked in dry mint, dipped in garlic yoghurt and covered in tomato sauce.

Had a nice three day stay at the Marriot. Good service-minded staff receiving you on arrival (dont let the entry metal-detectors intimidate). Excellent breakfast and nice gym/pool-area. Excecutive rooms are nice but were probably more impressive 10y ago. Recommended.

In general I find Marriott service standards consistent across the world, however this hotel takes it to another level. Rather than saying no when something isn't available they come up with options to help. I asked for printed newspapers which they no longer stock since offering the pressreader app, however they offered to send a taxi to pick up english laguage papers and charge it to the room, no effort to be made from my side. Additionally I needed an alteration on one of my jackets, again, as a little more complicated, the inhouse tailor wasn't able to assist but offered to send it out to for me. this was through dealing with various staff, and all were nothing but helpful and coming up with alternate solutions. The rooms are very comfortable, electric outlets by the beds, a nice desk not facing a wall. Spacious enough. Very good water pressure. With the current exchange rate room service is very reasonable and no additional tray charges which many hotels apply. Rooms and facilities are clean. Lounge is airy and has a nice selection for tea and happy hour. All in all one of the nicer marriotts to stay at. A carrefour in a small commercial center ( Starbucks, pharmacy, eletronics, foodcourt) is within walking distanceand a small mall 5mins by Taxi (10 TYL) away.

Wonderful location and amenities. Location was really good. It took us 45 mints from airport to reach here. They have excellent gym and spa arrangements. Food was good. The room was spacious and well decorated

The pool has a nice atmosphere. I always eat something after swimming but i am never fed enough since portions are too small. The young waitresses sometimes forget to bring bread etc due to crowd during lunch time. The menu is too simple and inadequate..

Hotel is good for business travelers, Wi-Fi in the rooms, nice restaurant and business lounge with a view across the city. Price is also reasonable for a city hotel. Took about 90 minutes through rush hour traffic from Ataturk

We stayed here for about 7 days and while it is a little distant from the Kadikoy, its only a five minute walk to the metro. The hotel more than makes up for the distance. When we came back at the end of the day, it was relaxing and welcoming. The staff were warm and helpful. I can't say enough about the executive lounge. The food was superb and the coffee to match. On the weekends, then send you to the lobby bar which offer a full menu to lounge uses. The breakfast was the highlight of the stay - the best of Turkish food. We came away with fond memories and warm feelings to the hotel and staff and we will certainly make this is our base again.

Stayed here for only a couple of days Extremely friendly and professional staff. The rooms are very clean and have everything you require for a long or short stay. Reception couldn't have been more helpful . Will definitely be back to this one.
