The hotel was excellent. We had great fun! The only problem was the location -- too crowded. But otherwise all good. Good food and music we enjoyed. Very much.

Very excellent experience with super helpful staff, unique rooms (all different from each other) and a gorgeous garden that was perfect to end the long and busy days. Very highly recommended.

Nice hotel, decent location out of the hustle of Sultanahmet - does require a bit of a hike though. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are refreshed nicely daily. Breakfast is good with an extensive selection. Free water, tea/coffee and fruit available all day along with free wi-fi. Really nice courtyard to relax in under the shade of a large walnut tree. Only complaint is that the bathrooms are in need of major plumbing work. Water leaks, extensive mold and dodgy repairs prevail. If this doesn't bother you then the hotel is great.

We enjoyed our 10 day stay in this hotel. We stayed in the suite which is very spacious (other rooms are significantly smaller) but did not have a balcony. We really enjoyed the garden for relaxing in the shade and and enjoying the free coffee, tea, and snacks. The food was overall good. The location is fantastic, really close to many attractions. We would go back.

Our overall experience was pleasant. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The garden seating area has been done very well. Place is clean. However the internet speed was very very low. Had to spend hours to connect to my corporate network. Corporate travelers may not be happy with that. The hotel does not have elevators hence elderly people may not enjoy walking up and down the stairs.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at this hotel which is at a very short distance (about 5 min walk) from the Hippodrome/Blue mosque. Hotel staff was very cordial, friendly and helpful and gave us good directions and good advice which saved us from using costlier alternatives (e.g. how to take a tram to go to Dolmabahce palace or where to find a good restaurant). The breakfast was great and we also liked the afternoon snacks/coffee arrangement. Overall, the experience was great and we recommend it for others.

Staff was warm and welcoming, and very helpful. Location was very good and close to most visited sites. Room was very clean and comfortable. There is a patio on the lobby floor that is very pleasant to relax in. They provide coffee, tea and juices as well as water and Turkish pastries and cookies all day, complimentary. One caveat, to reach all those wonderful sites nearby, one must climb a steep hill about 2 blocks long. Our stay included breakfast, which was a very good Mediterranean style.

The hotel is beautiful, clean and only 5 mins from the blue mosque. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel has a nice outdoor space for breakfast. We stayed here with our extended family and had a great time. Be prepared to climb stairs to your room.

Amazing service.. really memorable hospitality. Decent breakfast. Great location.. close to all the historic sites in Istanbul. Rooms are average though...

Great hotel and very attentive/helpful staff. While the room was small (we stayed in a standard room), it was well laid out and perfectly comfortable for our 8 nights in Istanbul. The hotel is conveniently located to all the major tourist sites and the nearby tram line. The complimentary breakfast was excellent! We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to our friends. Our only minor complaint was that the WiFi in our room was weak, but was perfectly adequate in the comfortable downstairs lounge area... which aslo had free water, coffee, and snacks.

If you are looking for a cozy warmly decorated hotel in the heart of the historical, artistic and architectural wonders of Istanbul with a fabulous breakfast and a super friendly staff - this is it! We walked everywhere, showing our four children the Blue Mosque, Haghia Sofia, Topkapi, Grand Bazaar, the Bosphorus. Food generally cheaper further away and exchange rates better.

If visiting the old city you can not get a better value for your money. Great location, wonderful imenities, and helpful staff. Very enjoyable.

close to all important touristic attractions within walling distance to Hagia Sofia...Blue Mosque....Topkapi...Hyppodrome great staff great value for money

Good hotel, friendly staff, but pure breakfast and wi-fi works only in the corner of room. The street is too noise, if you open your windows

We stayed in hotel Garden House, for five days during our visit in Istanbul. The hotel was small but with the excellent services. The location of the hotel was perfect near to lot of touristic sightseeing, shops and transportation. It was spotlessly cleaned and the linen/towels were changed daily. The main bonus was the garden of the hotel where we could sit at any time and enjoy complimentary cookies, cake and water. The superb breakfast was served every morning. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We found this place to be excellent for our budget. We highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

It was a pleasant stay but with one very big minus- when I arrived- they did not have a free room at the hotel which I reserved and they offered me a room smaller and at the very top without elevator. I said no and was very angry because I already payed for a specific type of room in advance. So after an hour of discussion, they arranged a room for me in neighbor hotel and I spent one night there. I think its a awful practice- the hotel management cannot do such things with clients. Also their standart (they also have lower class -budget- but dont take it) room is ok for a single person but too small for a couple. Otherwise the breakfast is pleasant- its in the garden outside, and the airconditionning worked well and soundless. The location is ok, I would say not bad for old town. On the quiet old little street close to Little Ayasofia. The hotel dont have turkish bath, and no fitness as well. But they have a good wifi, everyday a free bottle of mineral water, a basket of fruits and half a bottle of vine upon arriving and tea/coffee maker in the room. So could be a good choice of accomodation in Istanbul if they dont play games and give you immediately the nice room with great view.

We booked 3 rooms for 5 days. Everything was very clean, beds were comfortable, staff was helpful, and the breakfast buffet was great. All the Sultanahmet sites are within a 10-minute easy walk. We had a couple of small plumbing issues like slow drains and slight odors from one of the rooms' bathroom -- but nothing that I would consider a deal-breaker.

very nice and friendly hotel best location and very clean good stuff

Located close to shopping, restaurants and many historical sites, it was easy to walk everywhere. The staff is very helpful, treats you as if you are a guest in their home. Snacks, tea and coffee available at all times, and a good breakfast with made to order omelets and a wide variety of other dishes. We would definitely go back!

The Garden House Hotel was very comfortable and clean. The room was a triple and larger than most in Europe. The bathroom was large and the shower was excellent. There was plenty of room for our suitcases and other stuff. The hotel staff were so pleasant and very helpful. We were situated in a fabulous location so every important site was within walking distance. We only had two full days in Istanbul, so the staff guided us as to what to focus on each day. The second full day, we decided to forgo the long trip on the Bosphorus for a 1/2 day tour by one of the recommended companies. We were very pleased and because of their suggestion, we were able to get three more activities in for that day. I can't say enough about the staff, the comfort of the hotel, the location, and out time in Istanbul. I must note that they even recommended two restaurants that sent a car for us and also took us home after the meals (in one case there was a show as well). Both places were excellent and so convenient with the added transportation. On the first night they recommended an area that we walked to and it was great, too! What a wonderful stay!! I would recommend this hotel and would love to return one day myself!
