Great location, but overall a mediocre experience. The good: perfect location to explore Galata and Karaköy or pick up the tram, friendly staff, solid breakfast spread, decent view from the higher floors The not-so-good: cleanliness (floor in my room had that gritty dirty feeling), a non-working showerhead, air-conditioning option was not enabled on my thermostat so I had to choose between either a very warm room or street noise and smells from an open window. Also, as other reviewers have mentioned / as is fairly clear from photos online, the bathrooms only separated with a lightly frosted glass partition and in my particular room the door was not even frosted - something to keep in mind if privacy is a concern.

Exceptional Stay at a Superb Location

Our recent stay at this hotel was nothing short of amazing. The location is superb, making it easy to explore all the local attractions. Each morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast with a wide variety of options to suit every taste. The highlight of our stay was the incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. We faced a sudden change in our flight schedule and needed a late checkout. Erdem went above and beyond by making a phone call and arranging for us to stay until 9 pm free of charge. This thoughtful gesture made our experience truly outstanding. Thank you so much, Erdem, for your exceptional service and hospitality. I highly recommend Bankerhan Hotel. Extremely well located close to Galata Tower. The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff (Erdem & Cagdas) were amazing - always helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Always smiling and ready to assist. They made my stay very special.
