Loved eating here, came back twice during our stay. Definitely recommended a visit. Ideal location, at a close proximity to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. Try the chicken noodles! Really nice. Will definitely visit again.
The food was unfortunately pretty average. The pizza was tasteless, the burger might have been the reason for a later food poisoning and the spaghetti was dry. The people are amazing, the food is not.
Amazing place, excellent food and service, very friendly staff, highly recommended For high customer experience you should ask for Emin ( one of the staff member) who'll offer you awesome service Enjoy
Excellent service and delicious home made lemonade and cheesecake. Perfect location, delicious complimentary dish served on arrival. Quiet street, yet very lively. Breakfast available through 10 o'clock.
Stayed here for 4 nights..highly recommend this hotel .Very friendly and helpful staff, nice sized rooms, very clean, good wifi, excellent location and lovely restaurant with discount for guests . I will definitely stay at this hotel again .
My sister and I stayed in a Standard Twin room, which was a decent size. Decor & fittings were a bit outdated, but the beds were comfortable with crisp bed linen and the overall cleanliness was very good. Rather refrain from using the elevator, especially if you are claustrophobic. Elevator is tiny and it malfunctioned with my sister and I inside. Hotel staff did manage to open the elevator within 5 - 10 minutes. The hotel gets full marks for location. Breakfast buffet was on par with other hotels we stayed at in Turkey. Don't expect bacon and sausage though My sister lost all her money at an ATM, as a result of a scam. This happened whilst we were lodging at Faros Old City. A gentleman at the Faros front desk (presumably also the senior in charge) by the name of Erkut Guven treated us with the utmost care when we came to ask for his assistance after the money-stealing-debacle. He was so helpful and professional in his attempts to compensate for our loss, that we will forever be in his debt. May Faros Old City appreciate what they have in Erkut Guven. My sister and I certainly appreciated him. We would gladly stay at Faros Old City again!
Very clean hotel, Excellent service too. Breakfast wasn't bad either, had a good variety. Great location to most sights. 5 min walk to Aya Sophia/Sultanahmet mosque/Top Kapi. Restaurants/shops/cafes all close by within walking distance. Ideal for couples, friends & small families as its a small hotel. Wifi was poor, signal would not reach our room which was on the 1st floor.
I stayed at the hotel for two nights in a twin room. Initially I booked it because it was the cheapest option, so I was pleasantly surprised as I wasn't e pectin much. The room decor was simple but really cute. Had heating/AC, it was clean and comfortable. Hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. I would probably stay here again!
I spent 3 nights in what suppose to be the best room of this hotel & it was unpleasant at all, starting with the heater that didn't work properly in the coldest nights of January!!! There was no bellboy to get my luggage from the car that transported me, the room & its amenities is very old & need to be renovated, the restaurant staff are not helpful at all!! Very noisy though it's near a lot of attractions in the old city, the location is the only good thing about this hotel. I have been visiting Istanbul since 1981, stayed in a lot of hotels but never like Faros Old City!!!
Perfect location - 5 min walks from Sultanahmed, 50 meters from tram station. Quite place, nice and clean rooms. The view from our balcony (401) is something. Room amenities include water and tea. Great service and very helpful and friendly personnel. Just an example: when I asked about scale to weight my luggage the person brought it next to elevator to make my live easier. Highly recommended hotel!
