Our go to place to stay whenever we’re in Istanbul (provided the rooms are not sold out). Excellent location do very close to the tram station and the major visiting sites. Their breakfast is among the best in Istanbul with so much variety. Rooms are not large as most others are due to the location but its clean. Great place to stay.

This was a really lovely place in the heart of downtown. Everyone was welcoming and professional. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was nice to look down on the city from the balconies. We received a discount for the restaurant right downstairs, which I thought was good! Within walking distance from everything. Mosques - 5 to 10 min. Cisterns - 5 min. Grand Bazaar - maybe 15 to 20. This area felt very safe as there were people around all the time. Stores and restaurants open late…until around 1am. Street car close by. Highly recommend taking shuttle from and to airport. Hotel person can arrange. It was super easy and convenient. Airport is absolutely huge….take their recommendation on time to get there. (Plus traffic) (Havalimani)

Sinan our server at breakfast was kind cheerful and very thoughtful. All the staff were extremely helpful. Travel to and from airport was seemless and reasonable. Location great close to all tourist sites and local transport. Home away from home.

great location which is great for tourism but accomodation is quite dated. Staff is really helpful and friendly. Breakfast lacked some more options to be served (maybe a continental breakfast option) but the terrace view is stunning, great for pictures.

Staying at the Anthemis Hotel in Istanbul was an incredible experience! The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the historic Sultanahmet district, just a short walk from iconic landmarks like the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace. The convenience of being able to explore so many major sights on foot made our trip even more enjoyable. The staff was warm, friendly, and extremely helpful, always going out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Our room was clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated, with a comfortable bed that made it a perfect retreat after a day of exploring the city. The view from the rooftop terrace was stunning, offering a lovely panorama of the Istanbul skyline. If you’re looking for a well-located, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay in Istanbul, I highly recommend the Anthemis Hotel. It’s truly a gem in the heart of the city, and I would definitely stay here again on my next visit!

Change the door looks to normal locks.

Good views for the breakfast rooms, and the adjacent restaurant was one of the more popular restaurants in the area with hotel guests get 20%. Room was comfortable, although could have done with a larger flat surface to put bags on. Negatives about the room were the strange key pad room lock, which did not feel secure, the in room safe was not bolted down and did not work, and there was a lot of noise when people moved around the corridor which transfered into the room. Simple changes like a normal look for the room and fitting a sound insulating door to the room would have made a big difference.

This is a small boutique hotel in the Heart of Sultanamet. I loved the proximity to Sultanamet Square. Our room had an excellent view of the Blue Mosque. The staff were very welling and helpful.

The AC was turned off, and the room was very hot. The staff provided a standing fan, which was not convenient due to its loud noise. The rooftop breakfast platter had plenty of options and had an amazing view of Istanbul city. Overall happy with the Hotel and its staff.

Anthemis Hotel is right in the centre of all the happenings. Tourist attractions, eateries, sweet shops. The staff is very attentive with lots good information. The breakfast on the scenic roof terrace also very good. This was our second stay in Anthemis in the hope more to follow.

The good: Our room was very clean. good buffet breakfast with many selections; the breakfast area is on the top floor and has a very good view of Blue Mosque and Aya Sofya; the attendant in the breakfast area was very pleasant and polite. The porters were polite. The bad: Our room was very small. Even with the windows closed, the noise from the nearby restaurants and bars was very loud until 2am. We encountered 3 dofferent front desk guys during our stay, only one was very helpful, the other 2 were not.

Washroom had a sewer gas smell which leaked into the bedroom throughout my stay. Informed the staff but not sure they were concerned. Otherwise, it is a nice hotel. The location is excellent - walkable from all tourist attractions in the area.

Loved the hotel and the very friendly staff! Location is perfect and central, you can walk to the train station as well as to the Blue Mosque. All the restaurants are footsteps away. The view during breakfast on the terrace is beautiful, the breakfast itself is just ok, not many filling options especially for non-Turkish folks. Private airport transfer is worth it compared to taking the bus or metro, much faster! The standard room we got with a king bed was nice but definitely a little tight, wish it was more spacious. Also it’s pretty noisy at night, since the restaurants are open pretty late, so it’s not for light sleepers but I’m not one so I had no issue.

Gr8 place to stay if you don’t need Wi-Fi

Friendly efficient check in before noon was greatly appreciated- quietest lift I’ve experienced for a long time, spacious room with large comfy bed and an amazing view- one or two little annoyances- shower screen hit shower head when opened but main problem was lack of Wi-Fi which was totally useless and worked for a few minutes then disappeared for hours on all my 3 devices, tip - have a glass of wine or beer in hotel restaurant where you get 20% off already reasonable prices and Wi-Fi works superbly- hotel recommended for gr8 staff, superb restaurant breakfast with view to die for and location one minutes walk from Sultanmet tramline one station but Wi-Fi useless

The location of the hotel is just super - 10 out of 10, the rooms are clean (cleaned every day), the rooms are small but very cozy - 10, the breakfast is delicious and filling - 10, (everything is fresh and tasty), the staff is always ready to help you - order a taxi, help get to the place you are interested in and do everything to make your stay at the hotel excellent.
