What a great hotel! Just a short walk away from the local bus we took to get into Innsbruck. We were able to walk around the city and enjoy all the sights and then when we checked into the hotel we were told that our room was upgraded. Enjoyed a lovely room with a rooftop terrace! We enjoyed a drink on the terrace and watched the stunning sunset over the city. The hotel was super clean, and the room was in excellent condition. The breakfast far exceeded my expectations.
Free parking and really versatile and tasty buffet breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have a good selection of maps and brochures of the area. We booked late (the evening before arriving the next day) and our room was a bit disappointing after reading all the reviews. It was clean and the bed was comfortable, but it was in the ground floor and too warm (no air conditioning). We tried to cool the room by opening the windows but then the smoke and insects came in to the room (and also the church bells were really loud). Also in our room we didn't have good blackout curtains to make the room stay dark when the sun rises. This is a non-smoking hotel and that means that inside of the hotel you can't smoke but outside you can. They could remove the smoking area further from the hotel (if you need to have one).
We were driving through Austria so parking can be an issue. Found Kapeller and were delighted with the hotel. A block away from bus stop that whisked us into city center, staff was most accommodating and room very comfortable (both rooms in fact--wife was under the weather so we extended our stay a day and had to move rooms). Breakfast was an abundant and tasty buffet.
This is a very nice hotel located on the outskirts of the town so only suits car travellers. Really close to the motorway turn offs. There a a tram nearby that takes you into the town for 3.5 euro each way or 5.30 for a day. The rooms were large although rather sparse and could have taken another comfortable chair. Nice large windows you can open for fresh air and nice views. Plenty of free parking. They have a lift ,safe and coffee/tea facilities that you can take to our room. There is a large shopping centre within walking distance.
This was a find. A super small hotel, on the edge of the city, with parking & a bus/tram running frequently into the city. Nearby are a few chain restaurants in a shopping mall & a great burger bar (Coffee Bar). The area around the hotel still feels as if you are in a small, quiet town with some farms dotted around. The hotel itself was super...small & friendly. Our room was very comfortable with a good ambiance, a sofa, coffee table, mini bar, a good sized bathroom & shower & a separate toilet. The staff were super friendly & helpful. The breakfast was great, the usual continental but very good quality & selection. We were only there overnight & I wished we could have stayed longer.
An excellent hotel away from the main town on a quiet street, which is still only a 10 minute ride on the frequent number 3 bus so not an issue. At the time of writing a 24hr bus ticket is only around 5 Euros and a week ticket can also be bought. You can still safely walk to a very modern shopping center in less than 10 minutes via a very pleasant road. I would have no issue at all using this hotel as a base even if I intended on going to the main town each day. We did walk into the center once and it took around 30 minutes. All off the staff were very friendly and efficient.
The neighbourhood is really safe and quiet. There are some restaurants near the hotel and a commercial centre just few minutes walking. A tram line (line 3) is about 3 minutes from the hotel, and you can get to town in less than 10 minutes. Really handy! The breakfast is good and in general worths the value. As we stayed only 1 day in Innsbruck, the dependency on the tram line probably was not the best thing for a short trip. In that case, I would recommend to be somewhere in the city centre.
Modern hotel surrounded by mountains -very nice views. Good for both skiers and travellers. Well appointed, modern and clean room with large window in lounge facing mountain range. (A little noisy from the corridor outside but nightime was quiet.) Toilet seperate from bathroom-good idea if two people want to use toilet and shower at same time, but toilet could do with a hand basin to rinse hands! Breakfast room pleasant and waitress more than helpful, and breakfast was continental with varied selection. The ONLY bad point was on our arrival we found the receptionist blunt, rude and quite insulting. At no other hotel did we find any trouble filling in the registration form. All are pretty much the same with the same questions. But this receptionist decided we looked thick enough for a confusing and contradicting explaination of the form that made us feel like idiots and to top it off, she asked my wife on TWO occasions if she could understand English!!! Even though part of the reason we probably did look confused was her own bad grasp of English!! (All other receptionists, elsewhere, were very clear and polite!) So, to sum up, a good, clean, modern hotel but ruined by a nasty receptionist!!
The staff were lovely, the room was huge and clean. Breakfast was great. Parking good. The location was great too, although we had a car we didn't use it as we walked to the tram line just up the road and caught that into the city centre. Would definitely stay here again.
My husband and I stayed here with our dog. The hotel is very dog friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and we were allowed to sit outside with our dog which was great. The lady at reception was amazing and couldn’t do enough for us. We will definitely return.
