We stayed here two nights while visiting with family. The room was well designed in terms of efficiency. My daughter enjoyed making up the couch as a sofa bed but she opted to sleep with us the second night. She enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was crowded and they ran out of clean plates. We didn’t have time to try their waffles. All in all, we were happy with it and would stay there again.
This is a quiet hotel for long term business travelers. Nothing inspiring, but safe, quiet and clean. Breakfast at this hotel leaves something to be desired: not many healthy choices--some Greek yogurt, bottled water, a better tea selection and fruit (such as strawberries, etc), would have been good additions. Overall, breakfast was the most disappointing part of my stay. I ended up having to eat out for breakfast every day. Although the hotel is very quiet, the light pouring into the windows from the swimming pool area is very bright, and the blackout curtains are too short and narrow to block it out. Overall, I would recommend this hotel, but it's definitely not a fun or romantic place to stay. It's perfect as a place to crash after a long day of work, which is exactly what it is supposed to be.
My wife and I understand it's on the new side, but it needs help and more training to get up to speed. The room is ok, the linens and towels are ok, but nothing special. The breakfast needs serious help. The woman who was there was very nice and helpful, but the breakfast itself was awful. Getting around to the Space Center, restaurants and such was very easy so hopefully as they learn and grow it will be a lovely facility.
Hotel looks new and rooms are fantastic - everything you need (although no hair dryer). Beds really comfy, bathroom excellent - everything about room is excellent. However - the breakfast is awful. We have been doing a road trip and stayed in mostly In the In style cheaper places but decided to have a couple of days in a Marriott as a treat. The breakfast in all the other cheaper places was ten times better than this Marriott hotel - it really is not up the tue standard or additional cost you pay for a Marriott. We went out and paid for breakfast instead. If you don’t mind doing this - the t he hotel itself is very good. Shame about the poor food.
Too bad we only needed to stay here one night - loved this hotel. While we didn't need to visit the Space Center, this hotel is right there. We thought it was a brand new hotel and it's 2 years old - it's in excellent condition. Looks like there is a lot of construction happening in the area so I'm sure more is coming. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance but full disclosure, only one is open for dinner. Hotel gave us a great list of nearby restaurants including a bunch that deliver. We traveled with two small pups and they had plenty of grassy areas and a poop bag station. Thanks for that! We'll stay here again if we're in Huntsville.
We enjoyed a King room overlooking the small pond at the rear of the property. We were made to feel very welcome as we arrived and were checked in rather quickly. I used the laundry services and they were clean and easy to use. We got really good info for the area and enjoyed our stay very much.
This hotel is not to the quality of Marriott standards. Our toilet flush was not working and after repeated complaints the maintenance personnel came after 1.5 hours. Before allocating the room, it will be better to check the quality of room so that guest will not have bad experiences. Even though the hotel is constructed new, it looks like a lot more old may be due to the poor maintenance. Breakfast was not great. Not sure whether Towneplace Suites are a cheaper option of Marriott, but cannot compare the quality with Fairfield Inns or Spring hill suites.
Stayed for 3 nights over Memorial Day weekend in a 2 bedroom suite. The room itself is very spacious and good for a larger family. I did have to change rooms due to a questionable large insect that found a home in my assigned room. I was changed very quickly, which was great. I also was offered Marriott Points (7,500) as compensation (equivalent to 1 night in a standard room, which I did not have. I would have just preferred comping the cheapest night). Rest of stay was decent. Hotel is understaffed so the phone was not picked up not one time that I called the front desk. Just walked down to the desk instead. We didn’t ask to have our room cleaned, but the one time we asked for towels, they ran out, promised clean ones at 11pm before shift change, and delivered bath mats instead. Not sure how you cannot tell the difference, but whatever. Only “ate” breakfast one day. It was decent. But go early. Didn’t receive follow up like I was promised regarding my bill. Regardless, Devin at the front desk was the reason I gave it a 4. He fixed it all at check out, was polite, and was very easy to talk to. Hotel room was clean and public area was clean. It is in a developing area. Nothing in walking distance. Close to shopping, base, restaurants and Huntsville.
The TownePlace Suites Huntsville was very cozy and felt like a touch of home. The lobby area was welcoming and expansive with a variety of open casual seating. The rooms were very modern with a small kitchenette, spacious desk area, and large closets accessible from both the bathroom and living area. The complimentary breakfast offered waffles, ham, eggs, cereals, and a variety of muffins and bagels. The front desk even had a variety of board games and card games (Scrabble, Monopoly, Uno, etc.) for guest use. The fitness center was a nice size with treadmills, elliptical trainer, free weights, towels and water. We selected the TownePlace Suites Huntsville so we would be close to the military installation and within one mile of a wide variety of restaurants (American, Italian, Mexican, etc.) and a nice selection of clothing stores (Chico’s, Michael Kors, H&M, etc.).
The room was nice, the staff was the most friendly I've ever had, and I would gladly stay here again. The only 2 negatives would be 1) it's in the middle of nowhere with nothing close by and 2) the breakfast was very limited. I'd still recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice, quiet place to stay.
