The cleaning staff didn't do a good job.

Very old property- Dirty Hotel- More like a stay for an overnight trucker looking to get a few hrs sleep- I would not recommend- inside of the hotel is just overall dirty.

Property is poorly kept and ran. I would not recommend anyone staying here.

I did not like dtr hat the bed sheets were not clean...overall property was nice

Typical hotel for the price point. Read other reviews about smoking in non-smoking rooms. Same story. When we checked in the room reeked of cigarettes. Window was open and a coffee cup with cigarette butts was beside it. Manager moved us to another room which was fine.

This place was horrible. Sink stopped up, dirty bathroom, tub stopped up, chipped paint on walls, a total dump

Upon walking into room was terrible musty smell, the hair dryer and it’s holder were off the wall lying on bathroom sink, shower curtain all moldy on bottom, 5 tissues left in tissue box, toilet rim very disgusting, very few channels on tv, no coffee pot in room, breakfast extremely minimal, fire alarm beeping, shower faucet leaking. The only GOOD thing was shower pressure was fabulous.

They had no extra towels, none for the pool and the towel in the room looked dingy. Very disappointing to have to go buy towels

Hotel dirty, non-smoking rooms reeked of smoke, 1st room sink clogged and nobody there could fix it so they moved us to another room (after very helpful housekeeper told the front desk again for us about issue)2nd room cleaner, not as smelly but AC not working properly-called front desk nothing they can do???? Found out at check out AC issue not even documented, told them how unhappy I was and they offered nothing not even an apology-very disappointed and will never stay there again....

We had to evacuate last minute due to Hurricane Irma and the staff of microtel were very accomodating and empathetic.. room was clean and the view of the mountains were beautiful... will definitely stay here again!!

We drove abouy 9-10 hours to get to this place. When we first got there we thought this looks like a nice place. But when we got to our room there was hair all over the beds food in the micowave and it didnt look like anyone vaccumed. I went down to the drsk and told the lady she gave me a key to a different room so i could go check it out. Went to turn the light on and it didnt come on. I know light bulbs burn out. After finding a light thay wasnt burnt out i pulled the sheets back and found crums in the bedding like no one had change them. This room also wasnt vaccumed. So i went back down to the desk and got another key for another room. This room was ok. There was no hair or curms in the beds but the blankets were still wet. There was a what looked like a blood stain on the celing. The next day we went out to check out the pool it was super small and didnt look like anyone cleaned the ring around the pool. I called the day after we left and got back to illinios and talked to the manger. It took me 3 times of calling there to even talk to him.

The carpet in my room, as well as in the common areas, looked as if it had not been vacuumed in ages. The edges of the carpets in both my room and the common areas literally had a line of filth; the main part of the carpet was so dirty, I did not walk on the floor with bare feet. The clock in my room did not work- it was stuck permanently on 12:00. Also, the tv did not change channels. (I did find out in the morning that this was a common problem since the hotel changed to satellite and would have required the staff to reset the tv in my room.) The carpet in my room was also very worn with chunks of it missing and there were dirty streaks on the walls and ceiling. I did not complain about my room to the night staff as it was late and I just wanted to sleep. On the positive side, the night staff, Audrey, was wonderful. She was sweet, efficient, and dealing with a lot more problems than a person being paid minimum wage should be. The water pressure was also pretty good and the sheets smelled like bleach so I guess they were clean. Finally, this location is not that close to Huntsville. I thought I checked carefully, but this is located a good 15 minutes beyond anything. I was going to pick up my kid from Space Camp and it was not convenient at all. I would never stay in this location again.

The hotel room is small and doesn't come with coffee maker or microwave. I could hear people next door banging on doors and ice machine making ice during the night. It's close to train tracks too, so you'd hear that at night as well. The breakfast selection is small with boiled eggs, pastry, and a pancake maker. For the price, it's a reasonable stay. But I probably won't come back if I'm in the area again.

The hotel was what you would expect for 2.5 stars, the only plus is that the rooms offer good work space

Got in on the 18th around 10:30pm was kind of misled the motel itself was difficult to find it was so far away from the downtown area i was led to believe

Very close to the campus. Restaurants were convienently close by.

We have stayed at this place year after year when we visit the family in Alabama. Very happy to be able to see the same friendly staff time after time.

we are always happy to stay at this place and have become familiar with the staff and the location. Good value too.
