Travel plan: Long flight in, plan and rest, intense meetings, long flight out. Clerk was helpful in finding very quiet room away from outside and inside noise. Quite a feat given the hotel was heavily booked. Mattresses designed for a very restful night's sleep. Only downside is that locating rooms can be a little confusing -- a minor problem at worst.
We stayed 3 nights for school break. The hotel was comfortable. The checkin was easy. The Cafe had good happy hour specials on food. We enjoyed dinner there one night. The employees were friendly. We did wake up to dozens of ants on the desk near the sliding door. An employee came quickly, saw the ants and moved us to another room. Our new room was satisfactory. We would stay again.
We had a awesome weekend our stay was great. JaNaia and Matt at the front desk were incredible from beginning to end. Shannon the event coordinator was totally awesome as well. They all were very welcoming and meet all of our needs without any hesitation. We thank you all wholeheartedly from the Birmingham Blue Devils!!!
As a frequent traveler, it is a great relief to have such a wonderful place to rest. I was returning home and decided to travel through Huntsville to visit a friend. The staff at this facility was friendly and supportive. I found the hotel easily and was pleased to find so many places to eat near the site if I wanted to go outside the hotel. The Bistro staff/server was wonderful. Despite a sudden rush, she stayed calm, focused and cheerful. When I placed my order, she was dealing with 10 different customers but did not become flustered. Great job. For the building, the outside was well lit, making it easy to locate and secure. The inside was clean and well lit and my room was as expected. My bed was very comfortable as is the standard for Marriott properties. I travel frequently so it is important to not the above information for the hotel.
Stayed here 12-15-16, the Christmas decorations were beautiful. The lobby is done in a modern style with blue, gray, and orange-love it! the room itself was nice an overlooked an actual courtyard with a beautiful pool and even had a small patio with chairs. The beds were super comfy. The check-in staff was friendly. This hotel was close enough to walk to a pizza hut and other restaurants and shopping.
Pros: Clean, the hotel rarity of a fitted bottom sheet!, good Wi-Fi Cons: Nothing exceptional (walking distance to things, views, super cool pool etc.), bumped me out of my room and down graded, Have to purchase breakfast I chose to go to the Courtyard while on business near Redstone Arsenal because it was one of the "nicer" hotels that still met my per diem. All my usual haunts were taken. They claim modern and whatnot but I felt like my room was very minimalist box with a few metal lamps and one enormous dresser, desk, table all in one that was well... Not great. Not even a channel guide for the TV leaving me at slowly clicking thru bit by bit. Figures at least it had a TV. Flat screen but not HD. When checking in, I was told that " our computer messed up and said we had more kings than we actually do... You actually are going to have a room with double beds" While I have doubt on that truly being the case, I originally had a king room 1 bedroom 2 room then was downgraded to a double ( not even queens ) on the first floor right near a noisy elevator. What recourse did I have though? I have my suspicions that due to a large corporation that had a large group of people there I may have been shoved aside as someone else got a great room. I really don't have a reason to come back as there are plenty of hotels just as nice in the area that I can at least get a banana and bagel at in the morning!
Needed a room for a one night stay while conducting business at Redstone Arsenal. This courtyard was clean, well maintained and convenient for all venues in the Huntsville area. The lobby had cold beer on tap, wine and various cold and hot beverages to settle in for the night. Breakfast was complimentary and served fresh pastries, eggs, bacon, yogurt and fruit along with cereal varieties.
I had a very normal stay at the Courtyard. It was very uneventful meaning it was clean, properly furnished, and easy. A striking positive item, unexpected, was the attendant at the bistro. The food was the same old menu and not very tasty but it was made far better by the company of the attendant. I don't recall her name but here photo is attached.
Last year I fell and broke some ribs here, not this time. The rooms are always clean, the bed is comfy, and nicely decorated. The only problem I had was my food and drink was infested with ants the next morning, even though I was on the second floor. I've never had a problem with ants at Any hotel before. First time for everything I guess.
We checked in last at night just for a one night stay. I believe it was Jes who checked us in. She was very personable and accommodating. On check out, I believe it was Jeff (I could be wrong) who helped us. We needed a late check out until 3:00 since my husband had an appointment. They gave us until 2:30, which met our need. Housekeeping did not get the timing right so they knocked on the door and asked when we were checking out. I told them I had a late check out and to check with the front desk. I knew they knew about the late check out because I heard them talking in the hall about it when I went downstairs to the front desk for a razor. So I did not consider that a big deal. The rooms are configured kind of funny and the bathroom door closed right in front of the commode, which is also weird. I read that from another guest's review before choosing this hotel and knew what she meant as soon as I went into the bathroom. There is popcorn smelling up the lobby when you go in and that is a nice free treat and probably since you can smell those chocolate chip cookies in other places. Lastly when checking in the clerk mentioned that the rooms were all configured the same way, but that there was a suite inside the room so I anticipated that the room would be bigger. The in-room suite turned out just to be a small sofa. The rooms do have king beds, but are small and the TV is on the side of the bed and not in front like they are in many places so the person sleeping away from the TV may have a hard time seeing it.
