Great experience. The hotel staff was very helpful and attentive. I will definitely stay there again.

Stayed here twice for 5 nights on my last trip to Huatulco. Great hacienda style hotel with everything needed to make your stay comfortable. wi fi was excellent, pool clean and rooms large. Good location near Chahue, Santa Cruz and La Crucecita. The staff are the best thing about this hotel, everyone from the maintenance folks to front desk were fantasticand couldn't do enough to help you. Would stay here again in a minute and would not hesitate to recommend to any of my family or friends.

Very good location. Nice beach club.Very kind staffs.

Really sorry to write this review but if you look up my account you could decide for yourself. We have stayed here many times and have been delighted to recommend this hotel, but since this experience, not so anymore. The hotel was as good as before, the staff was friendly enough, but the management left a lot to be desired with friendliness and helpfulness. We had an issue that needed to be addressed and the manager "was always in a meeting". She would not return our calls. Very unprofessional!! Will not stay here again.

The Villablanca is ideally located 10 minutes from downtown LaCrucesita and Santa Cruz, away from the busy sounds of the city. It's layout allows for a quiet setting and the staff and patrons, some of them long term returnees, create a wonderful social atmosphere. The rooms are good, kept very clean although the beds were a bit harder than for my liking. Nonetheless, I had an Ok sleep and the grounds and pool are kept clean. Food was excellent, and an Oxxo convenience store and the Super Che shopping centre are a block away with all the needs. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel Villa Blanco Huatulco Review Where to start?!? My friend and I were taking a surf trip in the hutalco area and we didn't exactly want to rough it staying in palapas on the beach, yet we weren't looking to break the bank. Hotel Villa Blanco Huatulco far exceeded our expectations!!! The friendly staff, fantastic food (not one bad meal in our 7 day stay) and the super clean rooms made it all a very pleasant stay. I had problems with my flight home and the staff assisted me in translating with the airlines over the phone without even thinking twice about it! The rooms were very nice and spacious, bathrooms were all clean, and most importantly everything was completely safe. Our rental car was also safe the entire time. Whatever your impression is about safety in Mexico forget it because its probably an exaggeration, the people at the hotel and surrounding towns were very friendly and never once did we have any problems. Hotel Villa Blanco Huatulco Huatulco is truly a hidden gem if you're looking for a fantastic resort experience at an affordable price! I would recommend getting a room with a courtyard view as its a lot more quiet than the outside street side. All the rooms have A/C, flat screen TV's, wifi Internet for staying in touch....it was all good! The breakfast buffet that starts at 8AM was included in our reservation was also very impressive and gourmet and not a continental style breakfast. You just can't go wrong with this hotel and the staff really takes pride in their work by going the extra mile.. I will for sure be returning to this hotel A+ for Hotel Vill Blanco Hutalco.

We booked this hotel as a last minute over-night stay and we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel rooms are fairly average, but the amentities are wonderful, and the breakfast the next morning was AMAZING! It is definitely worth the extra $6 we paid with the reservation to get the free buffet the next morning.

The staff was excellent the food was excellent the room was excellent location excellent I would definitely stay there again. Only small issue was wifi was slow. However everything else was amazing:)

As my family of seven arrived at the hotel, they were going to put us up in a smaller room with fewer amenities than we had requested. After dicussions with the manager on duty, they gave us a great room right next to the pool. From that rough point on, it was nothing but amazing service. We would have preferred a refridgerator and maybe even a microwave with the suite that had a kitchen table and chairs, but to no avail. The pool has a shallow end that is great for my small kids, and a deeper end for the older ones. Still not deep enough to dive in though. It is not near the ocean, and it would a long walk to get there. The closest beach (Chahue) can be dangerous because of rip currents. I would highly recommend "La Entrega" beach. There they will rent you everything you need for snorkling. Even a guide to take you out. We rented a couple of vu boards for the kids and we snorkeled alongside them. It was a great time. A little drive, or taxi ride but worth it. I just wished that the hotel would have been closer to the Beach. As for the breakfast Buffet... we bought it with the room, otherwise it would have cost us a lot more if we purchased the breakfast there. I found it to be a great buffet! Open from 8 to 10 while we were there, so take that into consideration as you plan your day trips and other events.

The hotel is located just across the road from the bay of Chahué, which is in reality much more beautiful than the nearby Santa Cruz. You can't see the bay from the hotel, but it is a short 5 minute walk to the water. The hotel is also within 15 minute walking distance of the small downtown area, good for eating and souvenir shopping. The staff was great, the room was beautiful, and the hotel pool was nice.

This was our 2nd year going to VILLA BLANCA and forsure we will be back next year

couldnt have chosen a better location in Huatulco if you love to walk as this hotel is central to all areas for exploring on foot. A walk into La Crucecita is only 15 min. And is very safe and well lit at night. Also, the beach club is across the street. The food is good in the dining room and one can order anything not on the buffet for no extra cost. Rooms are very clean. Try not to stay in a room that has a door adjoining the room beside it as you can hear EVERYTHING!! Overall, we would definitely stay there again when we return

it was perfect for our boys -this was there break from school and i wanted them to have a safe place to stay. They loved the pool and hopefully didn't play too much to annoy the other guests. I have stayed at the Villablanca several times and have always found it perfect for me.

A wonderful family-friendly hotel with great service. I stayed here on three different occasions during my extended stay in Mexico. It is very popular with Mexican families which creates a warm and festive atmosphere. The on-site restaurant serves a fabulous buffet breakfast when the hotel has enough guests to warrent it. It is an overall great value for the money.

Wonderful service. Very attentive. The pool was great for my six-year-old. Delicious buffet breakfast with a huge variety of fresh fruits, freshly-squeezed juices, made-to-order quesadillas, and several other hot dishes.

VillaBlanca is a beautiful, clean, older hotel that is centralized in the heart of Huatulco. The location is wonderful for 10-25 minute walks to Santa Cruz or downtown La Cruceita, or a 5 minute walk to Chahue Playa to enjoy the magnificent sunrises or sunsets. The beach attracts alot of locals for morning workouts or runs on the beach. The staff at VillaBlana were always friendly and so willing to be helpful in any way. The rooms are very spacious and very clean. We totally enjoyed our room on the streetside to enjoy the life of the city coming alive in the morning. The birds were wonderful to watch in the palm trees. We will definitly go back again and again.

Did not spend a whole lot of time there but the time we did spend was very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Pool was warm and quite. The food was good in the open air restaurant.

The manager and all staff went out of their way to be helpful. The location is excellent for walking to the beach. Great breakfast, plenty of fresh fruit, real orange juice, excellent smoothies & coffee. Rooms are nice size;the hotel is best suited for people looking to experience more of Mexican culture. Quiet,lay- back environment where one can relax and enjoy the sunshine. We have booked a 3 month stay at Villa blanca Jan-March 2011. Excellent value for money.

Villa Blanca is an excellent smaller hotel near the beach in Huatulco. It is a 20 peso ($1.65 USD) cab ride to town, La Crucecita, and maybe a 4 minute walk to the beach club at Chahue Bay. The hotel staff is just great -- friendly, helpful, capable. The room was cleaned well every day. Pool is good sized, with a shallow end for children. The hotel is building an addition but the noise from construction never bothered us. [...] great rate, less than $ 50 USD including taxes. One caution --- our "junior suite" involved a 12-step stairway up to the sleeping loft; be careful in the dark or if you've been drinking. Breakfast was included, sometimes a la carte and sometimes buffet (when there were more guests), always quite good with a lot of variety. Although this hotel is not on the beach or right on the main plaza in Crucecita, I think that may be an advantage --- cheaper, quieter, and easy to get anywhere you want. (But if you want "in town," check the Mision de Los Arcos.)

We had a late arrival as our flight did not land until 7:00 but an hour later, we were checking in. We had a junior suite which consisted of a fairly large sitting area with a table and four chairs, little sofa and TV. The bedroom was in a loft upstairs overlooking the sitting area. I had previously requested two double beds as we were traveling with our college-aged son but there was only one king bed. We went back to the front desk and they gave us the keys to the room next door, which was the same only it had two double beds in the loft. It also had, much to our surprise, a separate bedroom, again fairly large, with a king-size bed(and yes, the beds are hard). The room was very spacious. There also was a safe in one of the closets. The shower stall is all tiled and a pretty good size, with a built-in bench. The sink area was separate from the shower area. Hair dryer is also included. There are no dressers for clothes but we had two closets for hanging clothes up and luggage racks to keep the suitcases on. There was an armoire upstairs in the loft but no drawers in it. There was also a long shelf running the length of the bedroom and also in the sitting area for putting things on. There is also a coffee maker in the room, although we never used it. I requested a refrigerator which they didn't have until the next day. It was small but perfect for keeping drinks in. We had two air conditioners, one in the loft upstairs and another in the bedroom and they worked fine. Always had hot water and good water pressure in the shower. They also left us bottled water every day. Breakfast buffet was included in our room. It starts at 8:00. There was always several different types of juices, cereal, fruit, belgium waffles and pancakes, some kind of scrambled eggs, either with ham in it or chorizo sausage, chilaquiles, some kind of meat/stew-type dish and other authentic mexican dishes, refried beans, tortillas, etc. There were usually about 4-5 hot dishes to pick from. The waiters were attentive and would also bring you toast if you wanted. You could also custom make your own smoothie. Breakfast was great every day! There is a computer in the lobby which you can use free of charge. The lobby also has free Wi-Fi but sometimes we would get it in our room. We only stayed by the pool one day and it was refreshing not to have to fight anyone to find chairs. Most people, I think, leave for the day. There is construction going on as they are adding on to the hotel but most of the work is done manually so it is not too loud. There is a beach club about four blocks away, Playa Chahue, that we went to the first day but we sat at the one where you have to pay 30 pesos/person to use the chairs and palapa. They also have a pool, shady hammocks, a playground and restaurant. The beach club next door, I believe, is free as long as you order food and drinks from them but all of their chairs were around their pool; they had no palapas in the sand. The beach was very quiet and serene. All of the other days we took a cab and went to a different beach: Playa Maguey is a nice swimming beach with many palapa restaurants; Playa Entrega is the snorkeling beach -- $5 all day for renting snorkeling equipement; and Playa La Bocana, the surfing beach. Very rugged and beautiful. That is also where you can get a mud bath for 80 pesos. All of the beaches have restaurants that will let you sit in their chairs as long as you buy food/drinks from them. Cabs are very cheap -- 20 pesos into town, either Santa Cruz or La Crucecita. We preferred La Crucecita as there seemed to be much more going on. Food was pretty reasonable and very good. Not a lot of English is spoken but we managed to get by. No timeshare sharks anywhere, not a lot of harassment by the shop owners to come and buy. Also not a lot of Americans, most of the people we met were from Canada and NO SPRING BREAKERS, although we were there at the start of the spri...
