Geovanny, the front desk clerk, was awesome, he greeted us with a nice smile and pleasant attitude. He went above and beyond to make our stay super comfortable
Overall it was pleasant. I would have given a higher rating for facilities but electric plugs not the best. Hard to find a good one to sufficiently charge devices.
The location was right of the interstate, but when you leave the property you can only go right. Not a big issue. We got a back room not facing the highway, definitely quieter! Our room was big and clean, huge fridge and microwave and Keurig machine! Only downside for us was the full breakfast on the website was just cold cereal, muffins and fruit. Wish they'd update their site to say so. One of the big selling points for us, to have a warm breakfast on site.
Nice, clean and quiet stay. Recommend this place!!
This was our first trip to Houston TX as a family. I was participating in the Houston marathon and needed a place near downtown for the race but all the hotels downtown were too expensive for what they were offering. We saw the Holiday Inn near memorial park was not too far from downtown and booked it. Our experience was wonderful. There is always parking and as soon as we entered the hotel we were greeted and taken care of right away. Our room was clean and good size for what we payed. They provided the necessary including soap, bath wash, shampoo, conditioner, towels, mini blow dryer and i forgot a hair brush and they were able to give me a complimentary one. The bed is big and very comfortable. They have ac which you can control to cool air, fan or heat. There was a nice view to the highway and the two type of shades to have the ability to black out the room. We used the indoor pool which was always warm. The jacuzzi spa didn't work the first day but they fixed it after. The breakfast bar in the morning was good. We enjoyed the coffee bar at anytime of the day. This place is perfect for families and someone looking to get a smaller, quieter hotel. The staff was friendly. We would definitely come back. Thank you.
Right across the street from the Improv. My only complaint is was the highway noise but nothing a little white noise couldn’t take care of.
Good breakfast, clean room with great lighting. Easy check-in with nice staff
Hot tub was broken. Pool was ok. I was staying here for work so I was excited to get to eat breakfast there but they don’t put it out early enough for me to be able to have any. The lighting in the bathroom is that blinding bright awful led. The fridge was tiny and outdated and the microwave was so old and took forever to heat up small things. Didn’t even have a normal timer so you could tell how long you were cooking things
Great place to stay, convenient location and staff was friendly.
Pool was dirty, had a poor smell. Elevator was broken most days.
Dusty environment. Breakfast was not satisfactory. Pool and Hot Dub Dusty bc of renovation. Security was good.
Pros: Stayed here before & requested via 3rd party vendor to stay again. Nice staff ( Gaby, Brian, Rose & Sharon); again, great free hot breakfast & 24/7 fresh, hot coffee in lobby; free parking & daily USA Today newspaper. Clean. Cons: Sign posted in lobby re: 8am-5pm "refurbishing." Was awakened 9:30 am SATURDAY by hammering coming from 3rd floor to my 6th floor room, loud & clear, wall demolition. Lobby personnel told me it's 7 days a week, has been going on since April 2016, AND that apparently this wasn't communicated to 3rd party vendors, so no refund. (Shrug). Guess I stayed in a "refurbished" room: very low toilet seat; high bathtub side; no towel racks; only one grab bar on shower wall & slippery bathtub/shower floor. Upper mngmt. said just following Holiday Inn mandates. (Hands tied.)
My 8 year old was impressed and that's what matters. He loved the jacuzzi inside our room, the indoor pool and breakfast. You can tell it's an older HI Express when you get to your room from the sheets, towels, carpets, decor etc. We had a room with one King size bed and can say the room size was comfortable. The only thing bad thing I can say is that I fell the second I stepped out of the Jacuzzi in our room. (I'm not accident prone whatsoever by the way) There is no safety mat around the jacuzzi but the front desk staff was genuinely apologetic and hopefully corporate will do something about it so no one younger or older then myself gets seriously hurt.
I stayed for one night. My room was super clean and has a huge refrigerator.
Our stay was very comfortable. We can always count on Holiday Inn Express.
needs help with cleaning wastebaskets, carpet, walls, etc.
Everything was clean and comfortable. We had a view of the highway but I was never disturbed by the noise or worried about my safety. I like that you get free breakfast and free coffee and tea whenever you would like. Location is pretty convenient and the price is very fair.
The beds are hard. The lights in the parking lot are super bright. The pillows are garbage. I know they try to give you some variety with firm and soft, but they are awful.
